When entering the hotel with a handicapped person elevator was not easily accessible, doorman was right there and willing to help. When we returned from the soccer game that we had gone to by way of the train the gate to the catwalk back to the hotel was closed off. With the amount we paid for one night free Internet and clear cable channels would have been nice. But not driving to and from the game or driving 3 hours back home at 11:00 pm if was a nice place to stay.
Positives: Close to train.
Negatives: Location of elevator and time gate to train closed.

Overall, good stay, however, the train ride to Manhattan was longer than described. The hotels website states 15 minutes, it was more like 30 minutes to 1 hour on the Path train.
Positives: Staff was friendly, free shuttle to EWR.
Negatives: First room we were given reeked of smoke, supposed to be non-smoking.

Hotel is right across from Newark Penn Station which is ideal for access to train to NYC. Newark airport is a 12 to 15 minute commute mainly due to numerous traffic lights. The hotel is old but clean and comfortable with a friendly & helpful staff. Daily parking is expensive.
Positives: Friendly staff &
Negatives: Expensive parking.

Exceptional value; great set up and service. Despite the poor location; the fact that is adjacent to the train station (Penn Station) is a great positive.
Positives: A 4 star quality hotel.
Negatives: Location; but I already knew that.

Stark, but tastefully decorated hotel adjacent to Newark Penn Station, and a short drive to Newark Airport. Attached garage, with adequate, but expensive ($21/night) parking for hotel guests. Rooms were clean; staff was helpful and courteous, but not terribly excited to go out of their way.
Positives: Convenience to airport and rail station.
Negatives: Limited, expensive parking.

It's a nice hotel with good rooms. The location is excellent - right by the Penn station in NJ. Hotel pick-up is not as convenient; they run every hour (unlike the other Hilton by the airport) so you really need to make sure you get onto the right bus. There are coffee shops and restaurants downstairs. Also close to the restaurant district which is about 4 blocks away. Catching transportation for various sightseeing is also very easy. Highly recommend this hotel whether you are on business or leisure.
Positives: Good location, nice rooms.
Negatives: Check in process is confusing.

Hotel was primarily catering to business travelers, shuttle to Newark airport every hour, very convenient to NYC train. No frills hotel. You feel safe, and you have a clean roof over your head, hotel itself does not have any personality, very generic and anonymous. No pool.
Positives: Very convenient to commute to New York Penn station.
Negatives: Front desk staff could improve friendliness at check in.

Pleasantly surprised at general hotel and conditions. Room was fine, but a major piece of furniture was missing and there was this big empty space where a couch or sofa should have been. Bed and linens were fine.
Positives: Better than expected.
Negatives: Newark does not offer much and hotel is too far from airport.

Beautiful hotel, right on New Jersey's Penn Station. Easily the most convenient hotel in the Newark area that we've stayed at.
Positives: Great location, right on Penn Station.
Negatives: This is nitpicking but, the view was subpar.

Area was noisy and felt unsafe but hotel room was good.
Positives: Room was beautifully appointed. Small but comfortable.
Negatives: Parking was expensive, increasing actual cost to stay at the hotel.

We stayed for a visit to New York City. It was incredibly convenient and much less expensive than a hotel in the city. The hotel is attached to the Newark train station and a train from Newark to Penn Station in NYC is quick and cheap. The hotel is very nice and the front desk staff was friendly and had lots of good suggestions on touristy things to do in the City. While the hotel restaurant is expensive, the hotel is also attached to a mall with cheaper options.
Positives: Location to NYC. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms.
Negatives: Parking is not attached to the Hotel. Pricy restaurant.

The hotel itself is very good. However, it's in a very unsafe neighborhood, you have to pay $21.99 to park your car, airport shuttle only runs one time each hour. It's very inconvenient to EWR airport. If an airport trip is the reason for youre staying at this hotel, don't stay here unless you have a car and make sure to lock your doors when driving to and from the hotel.
Positives: Great room.
Negatives: $21.99 for parking.

I had reservations 1+ month in advance and they overbooked the hotel. They shipped us 5 minutes away in a different hotel.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: The hotel was over booked and they shipped us to a different hotel.

This hotel was unsafe for parking for the area. The room needed updating, wallpaper in disrepair, was given a handicap room, noisy. There was no one at the desk to help me when I checked out, no one knew anything about the parking, and it is in an unsafe area. I travel every week and this was the worst.
Positives: I did not like anything about this hotel--it was terrible.
Negatives: Unsafe parking-room was sub standard-lack of staff.

The room was small & the bathroom was ridiculously small, the parking was expensive and did not even offer a discount for hotel guests. The only thing that was great was the bed; it was so comfortable I just sank into it every night! The people were nice but gave us keys to an occupied room at first!
Positives: The bed was very cozy and comfortable.
Negatives: No free parking or part of the hotel.

Good location, with parking (), the hotel is clean and the rooms are ok. However, I found it very hard to sleep because of the beds, and as a couple we had to sleep in separate beds because one full bed is just too small.
Positives: Location and price.
Negatives: The beds were very uncomfortable.
