Located on the first rise of the Highland Hills overlooking Sandy Hook, the GrandLady was built in 1910 by Wallace "Wally" Reid a silent screen star from such notable movies as the first "Picture of Dorian Gray" (1913) and the classic "The Birth of a Nation (1915). The GrandLady has been lovingly maintained with the original classic wood moldings and pocket doors to preserve the wonderful craftsmanship of the period. An assortment of period antiques and photos combine to transport one back in history to a slower simpler time.
Ideally located near popular destinations such as the PNC Art Center, Red Bank, Long Branch, Sea Bright, Asbury Park, & Ocean Grove, in Monmouth County. The GrandLady is a 40 minute ferry ride from New York City, an hour by car from New York State, and less than 45 minutes from Pennsylvania.
