Would recommend this to anyone for a short stay.

The location is great, easily seen from the road. The staff was courteous and engaged. The linens/beds were clean and neatly made. Halls and rooms had a slight smoky smell, even the non-smoking room. The AC unit woke us up every half hour or so sounding like it was going to take off.

Positives: Comp breakfast better than most.

Negatives: AC unit made loud grinding noises all night.

I was on vacation to visit my family and the hotel was located close to them. The check in guy was quick. The room was small and tub was really dirty I mean I have 5 kids and I've never seen a tub that dirty and I'm not a neat freak! For the price it just wasn't worth it I've stayed in super 8's that were nicer and cost less. Next time I go I'm not staying there. Breakfast was nothing more than toast and cereal but I never expect much there. From what every one was telling me I should have spent a little more and stayed down the road at The Holiday Inn.

Positives: Located close to where I needed to be.

Negatives: Hotel bath tub really dirty, room was very small.

Pros: Quick check-in, right off highway Cons: Plenty- Hair in hairdryer; filter was dirty- Hair on sheets (were the sheets even changed?)- Barely 'Lukewarm' water for shower- Low light in restroom- Poor reception on TV; static on many channels- Staff less than sympathetic to shortcomings. Unwilling to discount for poor room. Overall, I would not visit here again unless the rates were substantially better. The Holiday Inn down the road is ten bucks more but 10 times better.

Positives: Close to highway.

Negatives: Hairs everywhere, no hot water, bad layout, static on TV.

I like this hotel a lot. I think it's overpriced considering its location and degree of services but I do not want to go economy. The staff is friendly and quick, free breakfast, rooms are as clean and nice as I need. Smoking floor is very acrid smelling. Non smoking floor is perfect. Rooms are quiet with no noise transfer except hallway noise. Good for romantic rendezvous or business travel.

Positives: Quick check in, clean room, smooth experience.

Negatives: Smoking floor/room really reeked of cigarettes, but that's to be expected.

The location was great, easy to find. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I've stayed in many places, some 4-5 star hotels and must say the cleanliness and order of the room was top notch.

Positives: I liked the bedding on the comfortable beds; it was so soft and snuggly. The layout of room was great too.

Negatives: I have not one negative thing to say about our stay.

Microwave and Refrigerator in room, Friendly Restaurant across the parking lot. Convenient location: Sandy Hook 12 miles east, Hazlet Train Station about 1/2 mile, actually could have walked there. Room was reasonably clean; air conditioner was effective and loud enough to cover up noisy wedding party down the hallway.

Positives: Convenient to train station.

Negatives: The cleaning staff smoke in the elevator.

Although the hotel was very clean, the room we stayed in was very narrow for the two double beds. The bathroom door had to remain closed because if left opened, walking by would be not be passable. We walked about two miles across Hwy 35 to the nearest convince store. The hotel had no transportation vans.

Positives: I liked the lobby area, very nice to sit and wait for your ride.

Negatives: I did not like the fact that they had no restaurant or swimming pool.

If you don't mind passing this hotel 3-4 times before you get to it, it's all good. Otherwise there are many others in the area for allot less, and easier to get to.

Positives: Nice bed size.

We like to stay at this hotel when we are in the Hazlet area. It's clean, convenient and fairly quiet and we like the idea of being able to go down for a cup of coffee in the a.m.

Positives: In general the staff were very helpful and considerate.

Negatives: Having to go through the lobby, up the elevator, etc.

It's a Wellsley, about what I expected. Traffic is always a problem in NJ, but it would have been better to be just off Rte. 35.

Negatives: Old, run down, no high speed internet access, no water in soda machine.
