The Clarion is a typical older motel that is priced the same as similar newer accommodations the area. We would have stayed at the newer motels had we known.

Positives: Quiet.

Negatives: Access.

This was a good hotel to stay at for my business trip. Plus, it's location to the awesome, huge battlefield mall made it easy to slip away for some "me" time. The walls were a little thin, but nothing that the loud heater didn't make up for. I would still stay here again, given the right sort of trip. For a romantic getaway, probably not. For business/busy trip where I just need someplace to unwind and crash, definitely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great little restaurant and bar on site, too.

Positives: Location, block from battlefield mall!

Negatives: Some peeling wallpaper; bedding needed immediate attention.

I was very displeased with the Clarion Hotel. It was just a run down place and I didn't feel safe. The location was great but that's about it.

Negatives: It was just a very dumpy place. Very run down.

I have stayed at this hotel often only do to convenience and have never been greeted, I might as well wait on myself with the lack of enthusiasm they have let alone most of the employees clothes look like just rolled out of bed! My advice to anyone behind that check in counter customer service is key.

This was a very nice stay and they even got me on a ground level floor with a room upgrade at no cost.

Positives: I loved the down blankets.

The hotel was rated correctly, but for the fact that they allow dogs. There was a dog convention the weekend of our stay and we heard barking dogs. It also smelled like dogs. Shar-pei's to be exact. Many, many dogs in the halls and parking lots. Dog food in the hallway, dog smell, etc. Would have been horrible if we had brought our family member w/ allergies!

Positives: Very nice staff, especially Josh at the front desk.

Negatives: It allows pets and there was a dog convention!

Good deal. Good location. Clean facility. Hallways in building a little dark . No breakfast, but rooms were clean and neat. Other hotels in the area were pricey too.

The rooms need to be updated. Our room was not cleaned thoroughly (dusty baseboards, etc), the blow dryer did not work, there was a general musty smell when you walk into the hallways where the rooms are.

Positives: Nice pool, lobby.

Negatives: Room was shabby, not well cleaned.

Far away from the main part of the hotel. It was very quite, just a long way to get ice or the vending machines.

Positives: Very close to the mall.

A good older hotel. Friendly staff. Good sized room and bathroom.

Very nice hotel, keeping up the Clarion reputation. Spacious room with free wireless Internet access, but slightly difficult to find the entrance to - if coming in at night you might miss the entrance completely. Also, no kind of breakfast is offered, but they do have coffee in the lobby and your room. All in all though, I enjoyed the stay and would recommend this hotel.

Lobby and our room was clean and the staff was pleasant. This is about the extent of our experience because we arrived late and left early. We did however have issues with the security lock outside of our building which wasn't working when we first arrived but it was fixed quickly and then the next morning we did not have power to our bathroom for a time while we were trying to get showers so that we could leave but it also was addressed fairly quickly.

Positives: Staff was nice and room was clean!

Negatives: Security lock wasn't working and lost power in part of room in am.

Was a very pleasant stay, VERY quiet which was nice, ample parking. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Negatives: AC did not work well - tried to fix but still wasn't working well, was a bit warm in the room.
