King Edwards Chicken & Fish ( Dining / Seafood ). Located at 8958 Watson Road, Saint Louis, 3 miles from the center of Mackenzie. The original King Edward's was founded in 1966 by Clarence Edwards in St. Charles, MO. He used to say, "If the Colonel knew what I know about chicken, he'd be a King!" Clarence worked three weeks in his kitchen at home to develop a unique breading mix. He took his recipe to a milling company in downtown St. Louis and had them manufacture it. It's an exclusive mix that only we use.
Our chicken is fresh - never frozen - and it's brought in everyday. We buy the whole chicken and cut it up in our kitchen ourselves. We use premium white-skinned chicken - you can taste the difference.
