King Edwards Chicken & Fish ( Dining / Seafood ). Located at 8958 Watson Road, Saint Louis, 2 miles from the center of Grantwood Village. The original King Edward's was founded in 1966 by Clarence Edwards in St. Charles, MO. He used to say, "If the Colonel knew what I know about chicken, he'd be a King!" Clarence worked three weeks in his kitchen at home to develop a unique breading mix. He took his recipe to a milling company in downtown St. Louis and had them manufacture it. It's an exclusive mix that only we use.
Our chicken is fresh - never frozen - and it's brought in everyday. We buy the whole chicken and cut it up in our kitchen ourselves. We use premium white-skinned chicken - you can taste the difference.
