Red Creek Inn
Long Beach, Mississippi
Red Creek Inn is a bed & breakfast located in Long Beach.
This circa 1899, three-story, raised French cottage is built of brick and cypress, and situated on eleven acres of ancient live oaks and fragrant magnolias. Six fireplaces, usable antiques, and a 64-foot porch with swings aid relaxation. A 125' sidewalk extends from the front of the inn to "Friendship, Too," a magnificent live oak that's registered with the Live Oak Society.
Open since 1986, Red Creek Inn was the Mississippi Gulf Coast's first bed and breakfast. It has been featured in The Jackson Daily Journal, Inn Times, Men's Journal and The Bridal Directory, and on WLOX-TV 13 and Mississippi ETV's Southern Expressions.
Nearby restaurants include Double D’s Diner, Jai’s Crawfish & Snowballs, Fiesta Mexicana, and Beach Side Grill.

Additional details
The Victorian Room doubles as the inn's "honeymoon suite," with it's heavily carved four-poster, queen size bed, triple dresser and high boy. Its ceilings are 10.5' and there's a beautiful Hunter fan with tulip globes. The bath is 8' X 15' and there's a double vanity and large marble Jacuzzi for your pleasure. A porch swing is just outside another entrance to this, our nicest, room.
The French Room and the Country Room are both in the attic, with lower ceiling heights, which slant as you move away from the center of each room. Each has a private bath. The The French has a second dormer and a little more room than the Country, so there's a couch in addition to the pub table, chairs, and dresser in each. The couch in the French Room has a seamless cushion.
The "Bunk" Room is also in the attic. Located between the French and Country, it's ideal for kids. There's a door at each end of it; one at the entrance to the French and the other at the entrance to the Country. It's a long, narrow room, with two dormers, two small desks, and two twin beds arranged head-to-head: Free for small kids; $21 to $37.50 for larger ones or adults.
The Sleeping Porch is adjacent to the Victorian Room's bath, and may be entered from the back of the Parlor. It is 8' X 15' and has a trundle bed, wing chair, bookcase, TV/VCR and lots of plants. If one can allow others to use it for TV and reading (until bed time), it's only $37.50 per couple (traveling with whomever is in the Victorian Room).
The Freedman's Quarters is in the bottom of the inn. While it has the low ceilings typical of the first and third floors of a raised French cottage, there's a private bath if you can "squeeze" into a three-quarter Dutch bed.
