Lot of things just did not work; bathroom door, shower handle was stiff, bottle opener was old and bent. The attention to detail did not fit a 4 Star property. View out the window was poor. Very good location, and friendly staff helped, but I liked the Radisson better.
Positives: Spacious room, nice lobby, great location.
Negatives: Bathroom door wouldn't close, bathroom had very little towel racks, inefficient space.

Well-kept older luxury hotel located in downtown Minneapolis within walking distance of Target Center.
Positives: Comfortable beds.
Negatives: Poorly arranged bathroom/ Too expensive.

The location was good for us and the room was beautiful. We had only two negatives (both of which would be easily fixable): (1) The 32" flat screen TV was nice but the hotel only offered very basic cable. We were unable to receive any good programs when we did have time to watch television. (2) There were no towel bars near the sink. Instead they hung them in the toilet area. Lack of counter space in the sink area meant that everything was a little crowded when we had to lay a hand towel there. Like I said, both of these could be easily fixed to make the room more comfortable. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and found the hotel staff extremely friendly and responsive.
Positives: Comfortable bed.
Negatives: No Towel Bars in sink area. Very inconvenient to walk into toilet area to dry hands. Lacked hooks in the bathroom. Very basic cable. No good TV.

I enjoyed my stay at the Westin. The valets were fantastic and got me out and in to my car quickly. The lobby and public spaces are elegant and modern. The staff was friendly. The bed and shower heads were fantastic for this range of hotel. The room was also modern and elegant. My only complaints were that there was no bath tub in the room and my room had a tiny window with absolute no view, so it was quite dark and devoid of natural light.
Positives: Great location, fabulous lobby, beautiful rooms, Heavenly bed, shower and
Negatives: Limited room service menu, no bath tub in room, small window with no view.

The location for downtown was great, however I was traveling with 2 young children that were not accommodated. The pool was very dark-stainless steal. The shower did not work in the pool bathroom. Parking was expensive and difficult. I felt we were treated with less respect because we were a family. The restaurant didn't accommodate kids well and service in was just fair. The hotel was beautiful, clean and nice. The service at the front desk was fabulous. We would not stay there again.
Positives: Super clean and looked very nice.
Negatives: Parking, restaurant.

Very nice hotel, with goose down pillows and comforter. The food is very good, but a little pricey.
Positives: Staff was very helpful.
Negatives: Parking was kind of expensive.

The Westin is a beautiful hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was accommodating. The restaurant menu and service was good. Security is good, room key needed to access correct floor in elevator. The hotel is connected to the skywalk which was a bonus for our travel. On the downside, the only two options for parking was "self park" on public streets or pay $30.00 per day for valet parking.
Positives: Nice location attached to Skywalk.
Negatives: The only option is self parking or pay $30 for valet parking per day.

Excellent location. Excellent price. Beautiful room. Very comfortable bed.
Positives: Beautiful rooms and loved the location to Nicollet Ave.
Negatives: Shower door screeched every time it was opened or closed and didn't like the close building outside our window That's It!

Loved the security - getting to rooms on elevator with room key. It was clean and beautifully done. Had no view from the room, but for the great price it didn't matter.
Positives: Modern - lights in bathroom and
Negatives: Can't think of anything.

I have stayed at economy rated hotels that had more amenities than the Westin. The Westin Minneapolis is definitely not a hotel I will visit again, or anyone else that I tell for that matter.
Positives: You had to use your room key to access guest rooms.
Negatives: There were stains on the chaise lounges in both rooms that I reserved, and no bathtubs!

Negatives: The view we had was poor.

Beautiful transformation of a signature bank building into a visually unique and comfortable hotel. The restaurant, aptly called the Bank, features former offices as intriguing private dining and lounging spaces along the perimeter. Ample room and amenities. Very comfortable bed.
Positives: Beautiful wood lined lobby and very comfortable bed.
Negatives: No robe or bathtub. And hotel parking was $28 too much.

Positives: Every area of the staff was friendly and helpful!
Negatives: Our stay was too short!

Fabulous restaurant; best cut of beef I've had in long time. Decor of the guest room was very cold - Spartan, not comfy. Staff was great.

Overall this met our needs for a good location downtown Minneapolis. The hotel was clean and room was nice but a bit too small. The furniture was nice and the beds very comfy.
Positives: Stainless steel pool and hot tub were very cool.
Negatives: Tiny rooms.

Overall, a great stay. The room was clean, the service was great, and it was convenient to various spots around downtown Minneapolis. The only negative was that an internet connection costs $13/day.
Positives: The rooms were clean, the location was great, and the staff was friendly.
Negatives: The shower was a glass door that leaked a bit onto the bathroom floor, but this was relatively minor.
