Interesting combination of history and modern convenience. Clean rooms, efficient staff, and a very quiet hotel, besides being in a room by the elevator. Good quality furnishings and comfortable feel.

Positives: The valet staff were exceptional! The beds comfy, the location excellent.

Negatives: None of the front desk staff had a personality -but, they were efficient and did smile (like robots). AND, the towels were surprisingly thin.

I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to find the hotel. Parking in their lot was easy, and the price wasn't bad for downtown Minneapolis/St Paul ($15 per day self park or $28 per day for valet). The wireless Internet did not want to work with my computer, and that took a day & several calls to their Internet help desk before getting it straightened out, but the staff was friendly & helpful throughout.

Positives: Location and parking.

Negatives: Wireless Internet, bathtub that backed up during showers but wouldn't hold water for a bath.

High parking cost, and a hard bed kept this beautiful hotel from being recommendable. The food in the restaurant was overpriced the beer and wine ridiculous. Hotel was clean, staff was not complete disinterested although I have had better at this price. Location was great.

Positives: Good location.

Negatives: I thought a number of items where pricey for the product.

We very much enjoyed this hotel when we visited my hometown of Mpls. The location is fantastic, just accross the river from St. Anthony Falls and Riverplace, near downtown. Wear good walking shoes. Self parking (very close) is $15 per day with in and out privleges, valet parking is $28. The air conditioner was very loud, so we awoke when it would come on, and then again when it would go off (because of the quiet!)The television was not placed well in the room, to the side of the bed, rather than at the bottom. It was hard to see it without one person being in the way and without getting a kink in your neck. We didn't spend much time on TV, only while drinking our coffee in the AM. We would love to stay here again!

Positives: Very well appointed, great location, interesting history.

Negatives: Noisy air conditioning, TV poorly placed

Wonderful location, very comfortable and quiet room. We didn't want to leave!

Positives: The bed was the best I've ever slept in- very comfortable!

Negatives: Cost of parking - $15 seemed excessive for hotel guests.

Excellent hotel experience in a property convenient to heart of downtown and east of the river attractions, too.

Positives: Casually elegant; railroad memorabilia & statuary terrific.

Negatives: Difficult to identify any negatives.

Excellent place to stay. Great rooms. The location is a bit off the main track and requires a brisk walk to get downtown. In the summer this will be ideal. Now, it was a bit cold.

Positives: Beautiful decorations and friendly helpful staff.

Negatives: Location is a 40 minute walk away from central downtown.

Again, the hotel was very beautiful. The history displays of the hotel were very interesting and fun. The rooms were very well set up for business travelers with a console to control all audio/visual needs for computer hook up to the large flat screen TV/monitor! Loved that for my business needs this trip. My brother has held two birthday parties for his children in the huge water park and loved it! So I was familiar with the name, and location. Cannot wait to visit when the ice rink is open too with my daughter in the near future.

Positives: The room accommodations were well equipped for business travel like I was doing!

Negatives: Hotel staff was not as helpful for dining options for a single person at 8pm, did not feel safe walking, and nothing in hotel was offered.

My experience at the Depot was fantastic, except my significant other was sick, so I didn't get laid. But the location was great. Can't believe I had to pay 14 bucks for parking in there own ramp though.

Positives: Staff were very friendly and informative.

Negatives: Room was kind of small, but nice. No complaints.

This was a nice hotel with a nice premise. I stayed in a King suite, at first glance it appeared upscale, but in actuality the furnishings, wallpaper etc., were lower quality pretending to be expensive.

Positives: The location was nice. It was quiet.

Negatives: The parking passes did not work. I had to go back three times to get one; they did not appear to listen to the information I relayed from the parking.
