Upon arrival the staff was very helpful, fresh cookies are a great original idea, and the lobby smelled great, but not overwhelming. Initially we were given a key to a room that was already occupied, but the staff fixed the problem quickly and apologetically, as well as gave us vouchers for the breakfast buffet for both morning of our stay. The staff was also helpful and knowledgeable about the area and were quick to call us a taxi when needed. We found the room to be clean and comfortable, and loved having lots of pillows on the bed as we usually have to ask for more. Overall, I would say this hotel exceeded out expectations and we would enjoy staying there again.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. Easy access to freeway, but without the freeway noise. Within walking distance of wonderful restaurants and shopping. Always love the warm cookies you receive upon checking into the hotel. The bed, bedding, and pillows were amazingly comfortable and of high quality. The towels and bathroom shampoo etc. were of high quality. Wish we could've stayed here for our entire vacation.

Positives: The comfort of the bed, number of pillows provided, and quality of the bedding were outstanding.

Negatives: Cleaning staff forgot to leave shampoo in our room, but front desk staff gave us some, no questions asked.

Other than waking up earlier than intended, the stay was very pleasant, great location, and comfortable accommodations.

Positives: The amenities were above my expectations, beds were comfortable, and decor tasteful.

Negatives: I was woken up earlier than I wished by people who were very loud in the hallways.

Overall, the hotel was an excellent selection, especially for $69. There was a restaurant that actually had vegetarian options on the menu. The location was very close to the esteemed Uptown area, and the main arteries into Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. The room was very spacious, with a big comfortable bed, and an abundance of pillows. All cosmetics supplied were eco-friendly, paraben free.

Positives: Location

Negatives: Supporting Paris Hilton.

Positives: We've stayed here through Priceline many times. Great location and staff.

Negatives: We were slightly disappointed as we were given a handicap room which was a little cramped

Pleasant people and good cookies. Also liked the fact that we didn't have to walk so far as we have some health problems.

Positives: The cookies!

Convenient location, beautiful pool area (even though we didn't have time to use it). Front desk staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Nice decor.

Positives: Check in was friendly and efficient - got our group rooms together , convenient parking, cool view out of elevator window, 12:00 checkout.

Negatives: Walking across to Tobie Kieths was difficult at rush hour but not the hotel's fault.

Lobby area had a strong perfume odor. Staff was very friendly and helpful; allowed early check-in. Room was clean and bed was comfortable with many pillows. Pool and hot-tub were very small and the pool area was cold. Additional fee for Internet service in room and Wi-Fi only in public areas. No complimentary breakfast, no refrigerator or microwave either which have become standard at many 2.5 star rated hotels.

Positives: Room was clean, bed comfy with lots of pillows.

Negatives: Additional fee for Internet service, Wi-Fi only in public areas, no complimentary breakfast.

Hotel was great, the staff was absolutely amazing. They assisted our other travel partners in locating a place to get a tire changed that blew out on the trip down. Will definitely stay there again.

Negatives: Hot tub needed repairs on inlet tubes.

We didn't spend much time actually in the hotel, but we enjoyed our stay very much.

Positives: Our last night they gave us cookies - again!

Negatives: They didn't have a room with a king bed.

Upon arrival, they were out of their fresh baked cookies. They told us to call the front desk in 20 minutes. We got ready for bed, my husband thought he didn't need any cookies. Then a knock on the door, they brought the cookies to our room, and two for my husband. You can't beat that for service, royal treatment!

Positives: The welcome cookies and

Negatives: There wasn't anything we did not like.

Overall the stay at the hotel was great. However, I did not like how the hotel would not make exceptions to us extending our stay due to a State of Emergency Snow Storm. The lady at the front desk was not very nice and it seemed like we bothering her. As we know, there would have not been a guarantee for us to be able to stay there again. Of course we liked the Doubletree and did not want to have to move hence our reason for wanting to stay longer. Traveling conditions were bad and unsafe! It was recommended all over the news to not travel. It was a very unsafe ride home.

Positives: I liked how it was not crowded and we could easily go around the hotel and use the facilities without crowds.

Negatives: I did not like how the hotel would not make exceptions to us extending our stay due to a State of Emergency Snow Storm.

The hotel was very clean and modern looking. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was onsite and was very good and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. The pool area was very nice. The only negative that I can think of is the heating system is old and needs upgrading.

Positives: The rooms were remodeled, the front desk staff was very helpful!

Negatives: The heating system was old.

It was a wonderful stay, and we enjoyed taking the toddler in the pool for the first time. The pool area is very relaxing surrounded with beautiful plants.

Positives: It had a beautiful atrium and great location.

Negatives: The beds were full, and we prefer Queen size.

I think this hotel was very nice. I felt welcomed, the parking was free, which was a huge plus. They even give you a warm chocolate chip cookies as you check in! Neat! The rooms were comfortable, and everything has a sense of quality.

Positives: Good bathroom toiletries, warm cookies upon arrival, reliable wake up calls, flat screen TV, nice pillows, free parking!

Negatives: A

The Double Tree Park place is in a great location for us. We have stayed there many times and especially appreciate the clean, comfortable rooms and beds. Within the last year construction in the area has also been completed so there are now a couple of nice restaurants and a grocery store in close proximity. We ate in the bar one evening and found it to be quite good, and of course convenient.

Positives: Good location, very comfortable beds and pillows.

Negatives: Some areas of the hotel are in need of renovation.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 15 Oct 2009 rated 10 out of 10.

It is excellent that the room has a modern wide screen TV but there was no way to adjust the screen for 4x3 broadcasting - thus people and places images were distorted - not easy to watch. Please add free wireless internet in the rooms in order to compete with other properties.

Positives: Comfortable bed with excellent pillows.

Negatives: No wireless internet in room; charged for internet - most hotels provide this for free.

Overall our stay at the Doubletree in Minneapolis was pleasant. However, this hotel is a little off the beaten path, but located in an upcoming part of the city which has had increases in shopping, convenience stores, gas stations. You are a little ways from downtown Minneapolis, but I-394 is nearby. The room was comfortable, however small. The TV was adequate. Our biggest problem with the room was the lack of free WiFi in the rooms. The service charge for 4 hours of use was $5 and $10 for a day of service. That seems a bit ridiculous given how abundant WiFi at nearly every other hotel. Also, the hot tub was extremely small and really awkward in shape, meaning only a few people could reasonable fit in it. The water was running cold that day, so our stay in the hot tub was short. The executive business area was nice to check email and other things with, however the computers are so slow that it took much to long for things to load to be of use.

Positives: Clean rooms and friendly service.

Negatives: Small, cramped hot tub, and there was no free WiFi.
