Excellent customer service and a beautiful place to stay. Close to everything in downtown Minneapolis.

Positives: The hotel was very nice.

Negatives: Parking.

This hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and had a great location. They even gave you a cookie when you checked in.

Positives: The location and the large room.

Negatives: The first night there was a lot of noise after midnight with no apparent response from the staff.

This was a fantastic hotel. We'd stay there again in a minute. It far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. It was easy to find and convenient to get from our room to the car.

Positives: Location, appearance of room, comfortable space, parking situation was ideal - either the garage or on the 2nd level. Loved it all!

Negatives: Not enough space in the lot during busy times.

Wonderful hotel, great location. Why are they still charging for Internet.

Positives: Spacious room, comfortable, well supplied.

Negatives: $10 a day for Internet access seems ludicrous these days.

I was satisfied with my stay, just wished there would have been a complimentary breakfast, and not one of those cheap apple, cereal breakfasts either, a hot breakfast meaning eggs, bacon, etc. I stayed at a different one downtown, paid a bit less and they had the breakfast I am describing. Other than that this hotel was great!

Positives: I liked the spacious fridge and room with the small living room. The TV's were nice. I wish there would have been a complimentary hot breakfast though.

Negatives: There was no complimentary breakfast.

Great price and location. Definitely going back hopefully the renovations will be done by then. Parking was not included in price of room but only 17 dollars a night so not too bad. Had to go to the lobby to use Internet and experienced some problems. Buffet is not included in the free breakfast. Eat cereal, muffins. Overall spacious room, short walk from the sky walk which connects to everything, and fairly quiet except for one Monday morning when we were woken up by the construction.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Remolding hotel, no free Internet in room "only lobby", and parking fees separate from room price.

This is a very dark unfriendly color-schemed dungeons looking place with a construction team running a remodel with no sign of having any respect to paying guests. A female bartender that seemingly is under the assumption, that she is all powerful and not required to even greet guest sitting at a table for 15min before I finally interjected. Fire that useless person or close your bar. Either way at this rate it will happen anyways.

Positives: When I was asleep and check-out.

Negatives: I was unaware of massive remodeling. A high school group of boys & Girls had taken most of the Hotel occupancy. And yes the unpleasant female bar keep.

Confusing instructions concerning expensive parking and looks like the room was built into the existing space as an afterthought.

Positives: The bed was comfortable.

Negatives: The temperature of the room was 85.5 degrees when I arrived and it could not be adjusted without shutting it off entirely.

It was just ok. We were not pleased by smoking room, and the hotel was a mess due to renovations.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Smoking room, hotel renovations were going on.

Was overbooked when we arrived, was happy we had prepaid through Priceline. They were turning people down with reservations but trying to help in every way. Clean, updated, met all our needs.

Positives: Spacious room and clean.

Negatives: Parking across the street.

The hotel is great, but expect to tack on an extra $17/day for parking and another $10/day for Internet access. Cheaper Internet can be bought from the city of Minneapolis's wireless connection.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Parking charges.

Overall, I was really happy with our stay at the double tree. I felt like we got a good deal, good neighborhood, and clean room.

Positives: I liked that it had a suite atmosphere - there was an entryway/living room area, then the bedroom in back.

Negatives: I

This was my favorite hotel in Downtown Minneapolis, MN. Except the $50 a day incidental fee if you don't use phone, order food, or acquire any room charges than you get your $50 back the only problem I've had with this is that the money never goes back to my card (I have a visa green dot card) and if you stay more than one day you pay $50 a day.

Positives: The size it has two large rooms living room, bedroom both have TVs.

Negatives: The hotel staff is rude unhelpful.

Stayed at many hotels in Minneapolis. This is the lowest class hotel I've stayed at. If you don't care for flat screen TVs and high class travel, than this hotel is fine for one night.

Positives: It was a two bedroom hotel. One for the living room and another separate room for the beds.

Negatives: Appliances were

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food at room service. Only complaint is that the room wasn't as clean as I would've hoped. Particularly the bathroom; it was actually pretty dirty. Maybe they forgot to clean it? There were clean linens though.

Positives: Cookies upon arrival!

Negatives: Room wasn't very clean, particularly the bathroom.

The hotel was nice and clean. I enjoyed the customer service. I did not like the hidden fees, especially since it was a business trip. I had to pay to use the internet and I had to pay to park my car in their parking ramp. The door to the outside was broken so anyone could come into the hotel from the parking ramp. There was wine and a bottle of water in the room but it said if you used it they would charge. The hotel looks like it has been renovated a few times as you can see the old paint chips on the bottom of the walls and bathroom door. It was also upsetting to have so many hidden fees. I probably won't stay here again.

Positives: The room was nice and clean.

Negatives: They have hidden fees and it is located in busy downtown with unclassy people surrounding it.

We were traveling for football at the Dome. 12 block easy walk to the Metrodome. Nice size room except bathroom small. No pool or breakfast and pricey parking. Attached Starbucks is nice. Satisfied with stay. If staying longer with the kids would have had to gotten a motel with a pool though.

Positives: The warm cookie was excellent. Nice large room.

Negatives: No swimming pool, no continental breakfast or coffee.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 25 Apr 2009 rated 10 out of 10.

Excellent overall experience and a guaranteed adventure with the parking ramp.

Positives: Staff, hospitality/size & features of guestroom.

Negatives: Size & equipment limitations of fitness center.

Great place to live. Very spacious room with microwave, hair dryer, refrigerator. Very friendly staff.

Positives: Location is good. Welcome cookie tastes great!

Negatives: Pillows were too soft.

We enjoyed our stay. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful when we inadvertently ordered a movie when we were just trying to see how the TV worked. The room was clean. The decorating has been updated since we stayed there a few years ago. The restaurant served a great breakfast.

Positives: Cleanliness and helpful staff.

Negatives: Coordination with attached municipal ramp. We were given a pass to exit the ramp, but needed a code since the ramp was unattended when we left .

The location is great. The room looked tired. The surcharge for parking was steep,($15) but okay considering that it was downtown. However other surcharges were unreasonable. ex. use of internet - $10, bottle of water in room - $5.

Positives: Price and location.

Negatives: Room layout.

This is my favorite hotel in Downtown Minneapolis. It is small, comfortable, very well located, convenient to Dakota Jazz Club, Orchestra Hall and several fine restaurants. Just love it.

Positives: Comfortable and convenient, very pleasant.

Negatives: Decor needs some perking up.

We always enjoy the convenience and comfort of the Double Tree downtown. It is like a home away from home.

Negatives: The remote control did not work.

I was overall displeased with my stay at this hotel. We repeatedly had to call the front desk to report loud music and people, which included fighting in the hallway.

Positives: The room was nice.

Negatives: Many parties and fights occurred and very little parking.

Convenient downtown Minneapolis location next to convention center. Friendly staff, good amenities. In warmer seasons, pack your bike and leave the car parked in the ramp. 10 minutes by bike to the Greenway, a bike/walk-only path which connects you to all sorts of spots in the city and beyond. Lower floors could be a bit noisy from the street, my upper floor was very quiet.

Positives: Very friendly staff.

Negatives: Lack of "quiet floor" means putting up with noisy late night guests.
