An older hotel that has been updated. Friendly staff.
Positives: Great location and friendly staff.
Negatives: A little worn.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 05 Sep 2011 rated 8 out of 10.
Fine hotel; excellent downtown location; easy walking distance to shopping, food and nightlife; also part of skywalk system; convenient public parking structure adjacent hotel.
Positives: Great shower head spray.
Negatives: Would love a better in-room coffee maker.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 10 Jul 2011 rated 8 out of 10.
The hotel looked very nice from outside. Staff was excellent. Room was a disappointment. Looked old. Fridge would have been nice. Hair dryer in room was hidden in closet. Was just an old hand held one. didn't find it until day 2.
Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff.
Negatives: Rooms were not up to a 3.5 star rating. No fridge/microwave.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 03 Jul 2011 rated 3 out of 10.
It appears that the lobby has been renovated, but the rooms have not. It is one thing for a hotel to be outdated, but the room was not clean and that is unacceptable. The convenience of the convention center, does not make up for the state of this property. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Positives: The lobby was nice.
Negatives: The room was not clean, and was horribly outdated. From the tube TV, to someone else's shaved hair in the bathroom, the experience was awful.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 14 Jun 2011 rated 9 out of 10.
Great hotel for the hot wire price.
Positives: Clean rooms, nighttime quiet, great staff, attractive public areas and good central location.
Negatives: More blankets in room, charge less for guest parking.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 27 May 2011 rated 7 out of 10.
For the Priceline price, I could have gone to a different hotel and get more for the money.
Positives: Close enough to walk to target field.
Negatives: No continental breakfast.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 19 Apr 2011 rated 7 out of 10.
Great value (using Priceline).
Positives: Great price for location (downtown).
Negatives: No ability to switch to 2 double beds rather than single king.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 17 Apr 2011 rated 3 out of 10.
This hotel has awful, uncomfortable beds. The staff was nice, but that's about it. We switched rooms the second night to a king bed and the shower's water pressure was dismal.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Beds were awful! Showers were awful!
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 14 Apr 2011 rated 3 out of 10.
The entire hotel needs to be renovated. Baseboards and doors were beat up, furniture was broken/missing handles, etc and worn out. Carpet was dirty and the finish on the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling off along with mold growing above the shower. The bed was very comfortable. That's the only positive thing I can say about the room. Thermostat didn't work, room was 80+ degrees 2 of the days we were there and the only solution they had was to open a window that had no screen on it and very noisy. Apparently they can only run heat or air, not both, and the air wouldn't be turned on until June.
Positives: Location on the Nicollet Mall.
Negatives: The hotel was miserably hot and we were told to open the window. Windows had no screen.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 28 Mar 2011 rated 6 out of 10.
This hotel has a great location and needs to update to match the elegance of the City's setting. It was adequate, but not what was expected given it's address on the Nicollet Mall.
Positives: I liked the hotel's location and the price we paid for the room.
Negatives: The hotel was outdated and needs a face-lift.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 20 Mar 2011 rated 8 out of 10.
Overall, our experience was a pleasant one. The location is excellent, as was the staff. The room itself was fine, but it felt only partially updated. Lovely linens and art, very dated bathroom.
Positives: Friendly staff.
Negatives: Rooms only partially updated; seriously dated bathrooms.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 18 Mar 2011 rated 6 out of 10.
Nice hotel. Very comfortable. Wish I had spent more time there. Guests were rude. Hard to control that stuff. I thought they'd be done slamming doors or I would have to contact staff.
Positives: Nice decor. Comfortable room.
Negatives: Other guests slamming doors for 15 mins from 2:15am and again for 5 mins at 4:30am.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 10 Mar 2011 rated 5 out of 10.
Outdated room, peeling wallpaper, unclean bathroom (lots of hair in tub), awful pillows (almost better without one). However, very friendly staff (desk staff and bell hop rocked!). Clean, nice entry. (But, that stuff won't help you get a good night's sleep).
Positives: Beautiful, welcoming entrance, and nice elevators.
Negatives: Awful, completely lifeless pillows (worse than normal hotels). Hair in tub.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 13 Feb 2011 rated 6 out of 10.
I like the hotel when you walk in and the elevators but when you get to the floor where your room is, it's like you are transformed back into the 70's. What 3.5 star hotel would not have a flat screen TV. If I had not booked this hotel via priceline I would be really disappointed...I pay a Day's in Rate and that is the quality of room, so I am not complaining other than than I would not pay for this room other than via priceline.
Positives: The staff is great.
Negatives: The decor of the rooms and the guest floors.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 28 Dec 2010 rated 9 out of 10.
The hotel was very nice. It was clean; the bed was comfortable, and it was a good space. A flat screen TV would have been nice, however.
Positives: It was very clean and a nice place to getaway.
Negatives: It was too far from dowtown, especially because the Convention Center skyways were closed for the holidays.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 29 Nov 2010 rated 2 out of 10.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I called 2 days early and asked for a renovated room. At check-in I confirmed that I had a renovated room. Needless to say I can not believe this room had been renovated. It was dirty and old. My college dorm room felt bigger. There was hair on the "clean" towels. The floor felt grammar. Parking was $15 a night! Worst hotel ever.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Room was very small, dirty, and old. Towels were dirty. Needs renovations.

Our stay at the Millennium was great! The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were very homey, yet modern. We had a drink down at the bar which was very good. Its a nice comfortable atmosphere, and would recommend to everyone.
Positives: It was very cleanly and modern.
Negatives: There is no shuttle.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 17 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.
We liked the location. Right on the Mall. Great for walking anywhere you wanted to go.
Positives: I liked the location.
Negatives: The rooms were old and they need a make over.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 14 Nov 2010 rated 6 out of 10.
While Millennium's public areas and exterior are nice and receiving upgrades, it's the rooms that need some attention.
Positives: Staff, lobby, pool, all good.
Negatives: Room too hot, AC didn't work, ancient TV, bath products sub-par.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 12 Nov 2010 rated 10 out of 10.
Perfect for an 8 hour stay after a sporting event. Saved $100 this way. The Parking is a bit weird.
Positives: Clean sheets and great bed. Yes, older hotel, but we don't mind old.
Negatives: Strange location - hard to drive to with the one way streets of the city.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 05 Nov 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
For a business traveler, getting charged for internet use is ridiculous! I've stayed at a lot of brand name hotels and have never been charged for using the business center, and if I'm in the room the front desk would give me a code to use. Staff is very friendly!
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Business center charges for Internet.
Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 05 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.
The staff was friendly helpful and the beds were very comfortable.
Positives: Location, beds, linens, Internet and the staff.
Negatives: They were remodeling and in the early morning it was a bit noisy.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 25 Oct 2010 rated 1 out of 10.
It was supposed to accommodate 2 adults. The room was small and there was only one bed, not big enough for 2 adults. Had to upgrade to bigger room, more money. Hotel was outdated, not within walking distance to target center, in which the hotel stated online. No whirlpool, key wouldn't work for pool area.
Positives: Hotel check in was quick. Staff was friendly.
Negatives: A lot of things.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 23 Oct 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
OK, but not fancy for a 4 star hotel.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Rooms was plain.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 20 Oct 2010 rated 6 out of 10.
Check-in was easy, staff was helpful and pleasant. I think for a 3-star hotel Wi-Fi access should of been complimentary. I ordered room-service, staff was pleasant, but I ordered 2 hamburger meals well-done and we received med-rare! My burger was really pink inside! I called down and they offered to re-cook our food so we had to wait another 30-45 mins to eat by then my original fries were disgusting, but I had a well-cooked burger! For the price we paid I expected it to be right the first time! When I called down to alert them our tray was ready to be picked up, like they asked us to do, no one ever came for the tray so it sat there until our check-out time and the maid had to deal with it.
Positives: Ease of check-in, convenient location.
Negatives: No elevator on parking ramp, you have to pay for Wi-Fi access.

I called customer service to complain after this is the hotel selected for me with my bid & they said they'd no nothing. I stayed there before and filled out this survey, but nothing has changed!
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Hotel was not clean & needs to be updated.

I wasn't told by the staff details about extra fees, parking, fitness center fees over the phone. When I got there, the rooms were very loud , even after moving away from the construction. They didn't have their heat on. The room wasn't remodeled and was uncomfortable.
Positives: I thought there were a few of the staff that were very helpful.
Negatives: The construction noise wasn't relaxing. The rooms were half remodeled, there wasn't a fitness center, there wasn't heat and extra amenities at cost.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 15 Sep 2010 rated 2 out of 10.
This was not a 3.5 star in my eyes. The lobby was very nice, but the room was very unattractive. Furniture was very old, bathroom was gross and dirty. There was not a fan in the bathroom and all the plugs did not stay in the outlet in the wall. Therefore, it was hard to use your phone charger, hair dryer, hair straightener, etc. The lighting in the room was not the greatest and the staff did not even offer to move me to another room until the minute I was checking out so I can stay an extra night. I know for a fact they had other rooms available on the Friday I checked in. In conclusion, it was a horrible experience. When we were leaving, the manager on duty was very nice, but it was already too late to change our minds to not check out early.
Positives: The location was good.
Negatives: Room was dark, dirty, plugs did not work, staff did no try to accommodate until it was too late.

Happy to experience this downtown hotel with easy walking access to downtown events, shopping and dining through Priceline. Accessible public parking at reasonable pricing, elegant hotel entrance and reception area with quality elevators. Nice views from room windows.
Positives: Location, easy access public parking, good house-keeping and front desk staff.
Negatives: Noise of exterior renovation, deteriorating bathroom, noise of climate control system.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 12 Sep 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
Very convenient to many downtown attractions.
Positives: Was going to target field and very convenient to the park.
Negatives: Construction on the exterior of the hotel and pretty noisy during the daytime.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 07 Sep 2010 rated 9 out of 10.
Honestly, I just slept there and it was fine for that. Staff helpful and location very convenient. Lobby and other spaces looked nice. I want free WiFi at least in the business center! Parking garage was right on site, but one should not plan to bring a large car in there!
Positives: Bed comfy. Good location.
Negatives: Parking expensive ($15 per night) No free WiFi.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 12 Jul 2010 rated 7 out of 10.
Upside: location was convenient to access local establishments and jump on highways, staff courteous and helpful, lobby modern...downside: no free parking, rooms were somewhat outdated and perhaps in the midst of being renovated as I woke up to construction each day!
Positives: Location was great - close to downtown and all of my destinations.
Negatives: Construction going on in hotel - told I would be put in "quiet" part of hotel, but woke to drilling each morning!
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 12 Jul 2010 rated 2 out of 10.
Not even close to the 3 1/2 star, construction started at 7:57 am. Also so many roads closed for construction it took a very long and frustrating 30 minutes to get to hotel.
Positives: Beautiful lobby.
Negatives: Peeling paint, bathroom walls & windows dirty, snotty lady at desk.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 03 Jul 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
Staff was helpful. Room was nice, but rather small, although for the price it was very acceptable. Parking was convenient, but the $15 fee for parking one night seemed somewhat high.
Positives: The location was very convenient to Target Field.
Negatives: The restaurant did not open until 5pm, requiring us to eat elsewhere before attending the evening Twins baseball game.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 21 Jun 2010 rated 5 out of 10.
Hotel looks OK, but is dated. Spaces are small. Rooms not large, but adequate. We were put on the 4th floor, because outside work was being done, starting at the top of the hotel. At 8:00 am we were woken up to see there was a guy outside our window mixing plaster! We were not happy! The 4th floor offers no views, and the hotel was no near full. We could have been given a room on the other side of the hotel, instead of looking and a guy on a scaffold and a roof top of some sort.
Positives: The top floor banquet space is real nice.
Negatives: No fan and poor lighting in bathroom, room for, but no hot tub, pool needs painting, sauna was not hot.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 15 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Negatives: Nothing

OK<BR/>but a little loud and my wife hated bath lighting.
Positives: Location was good. Bed was good. Pillows good.
Negatives: Room small, bathroom lighting weird, noise suppression nonexistent, closet door missing.

This is a great hotel in the heart of Minneapolis. The room was small but very comfortable with luxury linens.

Negatives: Bathroom.

The public areas were nice enough, but the room was awful. It was small and a lot of the room appeared unchanged since the place opened in 1963.
Positives: Allowed an early check in.
Negatives: Dumpy, small, & dated rooms.

We have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, nice room, and good location; however, this time because hotel was full we were given rooms designed to be single rooms, not based on double occupancy! A brother and sister would have to share a double bed. I have never stayed in such poor quality rooms! Old carpet, mismatched furnishings, no chair to sit on! One room was so small that because there was only one double bed, we ordered a roll away and couldn't close the room door with the roll away set up! It reminded me of a broom closet.
Positives: Pleasing lobby and good location.
Negatives: Given single rooms because hotel was booked.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 18 Apr 2010 rated 8 out of 10.
Convenient, pleasant and good place to sleep.
Positives: Friednly staff.
Negatives: Phone didn't work, but was quickly replaced. Restaurant was over-priced.

Negatives: Guest rooms need renovation quickly.

I was very disappointed. The bed was very uncomfortable and outdated.
Positives: The location.
Negatives: Dirty, noisy, uncomfortable bed, no blanket, awful pillows, rundown.

The restaurant food was horrible. I ordered the Chicken sate. I commented to my friend that I would rather be eating KFC! (And I don't like KFC.) Price was outrageous for what we got. The room was in no way a 3-1/2 star room. Beds were very small, coffee pot was hideous and plugged in at the strangest location near the floor. The bathroom was gross: leaking plumbing, mildew around tub, tiny space, cheap towels. Just not good.
Positives: Great location. Very friendly staff!
Negatives: The room was gross. Bathroom needs remodeling and repair!

We love staying at this hotel. Always clean and convenient to our needs for downtown Minneapolis. The staff is always friendly and helpful!
Positives: So convenient and comfortable for what we do in Minneapolis!
Negatives: It was all good!

Great for convention center business, comfortable bed.
Positives: Close to convention center, the front desk warmed up our leftovers.
Negatives: No curved shower rod, sink outside of room is easier when there are 3 people.
Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 20 Dec 2009 rated 2 out of 10.
The only good thing about this hotel was the comfy bed and comforters. This is a really nice hotel, but it doesn't even have a fridge in there, needed a fridge for my daughters milk, and no microwave. The parking was horrible plus had to pay $15. We came there for a funeral, came back to the hotel around 10 pm, and couldnt find parking in the structure. Got mad because we drove through the whole structure (structure is very tight), and not one spot open. This structure is too small, need to make it bigger. When we were exiting out of the structure, asked the two men working in the booth, where are we suppose to park if the lot is full, he said across the street. Yes that parking structure is way bigger but it cost $2 more, which was $17. Wasn't going to pay that price, so we just parked on the streets. Could have stayed at a cheaper place and would have got a better parking, fridge and microwave. We had a bad experience at this hotel.
Positives: Comfy bed.
Negatives: Price for parking and parking not enough, I had to park in streets.
