The Best Western Chaska River Inn & Suites was a good hotel for a weekend away. The first room we had used to be a smoking room and still smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but when we asked to be moved to a different room, they were accommodating. The breakfast was fine - a pretty standard continental breakfast. It was really nice to have a fridge and microwave. There was also a heated parking garage to park in at no extra cost and that was appreciated. The halls could have used vacuuming and there was an oldie's music station playing from speakers in the halls which was a little weird. We would stay there again, but would request a room that had never been used as a smoking room.
Positives: The room was spacious with a sofa and coffee table.
Negatives: The first room we had used to be a smoking room and still smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and had something spilled on the desk.

Other than the bed being too hard, the hotel was nice.
Positives: Nice location. Cozy outdoors setting with fire ring.
Negatives: Hotel clerk said the room had a new mattress (way too firm), like a rock.

We were very pleased with everything. Very clean. Nice two-story entrance foyer with open staircase leading to the second level lounge where an extensive complimentary breakfast is available. Very satisfying with waffles, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, OJ, coffee, w/flavored creamers, creamed sausage on biscuits, fruit, etc, etc.
The parking garage is clean and well lit and secured by you room key-card (and free!). I think this is the best value I have seen in a nicely appointed 3+-star hotel.
Positives: The comprehensive, complimentary breakfast, the fitness room, the pool, the attached restaurant and the parking garage!
Negatives: The beds seemed a little bit low-budget.
