Vassar is a city in Tuscola County. The small town was founded March 1, 1849. The city is located on the western edge of Vassar Township. The City of Vassar owns or manages 88.5 acres of parkland ranging in size from less than one acre to about 36 acres, including about 2 miles of paved non-motorized pathway. These parks include Mini-Parks, Neighborhood Parks, one Community Park, three Special Use Facilities, and one Park-Trail.
