The hotel was not as close to the airport as I would have liked, but it was relatively easy to find. There are all kinds of restaurants and stores around the hotel - very convenient.
Positives: The front desk clerk was the best! He was so friendly and answered every question we had!
Negatives: Nothing.

We never got to the hotel. We were flying out next morning, and got online and searched for airports near Boston Logan that offered a shuttle service. To be certain, rather than just book blindly through a travel site, I got the number and called the hotel to confirm that they did, in fact, have a shuttle and that it was operational Sunday evening and Monday morning. I was assured that they, in fact, did have such a service. I went ahead and booked the room over the phone even though the price was a few dollars higher than the internet price. My thinking was that having that small level of reassurance was worth a few bucks. So we dropped off our rental car (and in case anyone was wondering, the streets of Boston were built to contain the Minotaur), and called the Holiday Inn Express Saugus to schedule a pickup. The shuttle doesn't run on weekends, is what this other person told me. Wife and I are flying out Monday at 8:00 am. We have $2.00 cash to tip a shuttle driver - that's it. So if we want to stay at this hotel, we have to find a cab that accepts credit cards, or walk the airport until we find an ATM. So basically the best case scenario would've been us arriving at the hotel to check-in at 11:00 pm, and having to get up at 4:30 am to make certain that we can arrange a cab back to the airport. We gave up and crashed at the airport that night. Best part? The hotel charged us twice on the credit card.
Positives: Well, when I called, someone did pick up the phone.
Negatives: Promised shuttle service doesn't exist. Wound up stranded at airport.

Room smelled moldy, air conditioning was annoyingly noisy. I booked a wheelchair accessible non-smoking room, and I was given "non-wheelchair accessible" room.
Positives: Price was reasonable and I liked the free breakfast.
Negatives: Smell of the room.

The overall hotel was nice but customer service was a joke. I called and asked about the park and fly, and they said well we've had a few break-ins but it's pretty safe. Should have been a clue to bail right then. Never told us we would have to reserve a spot for the shuttle in the morning. When we checked in at 6 am it was full and they tried to make us ride the 5 am even though the sign said they ride every 30 minutes. Finally they relented and said they'd take us at 5:30 am. Turns out there were plenty of other people who also needed to leave then since the van was full the next morning. When we got to the airport, they made us get out with a 15 months old/car seat/ and all our bags at one end of the terminal instead of dropping us off in front of our airline which they had to drive by anyways. Our return flight was delayed and we called and told them our flight would not be in til midnight and asked if that was OK. They said that was fine and to only call once we had our bags. Well we didn't get our bags til after midnight and called at exactly 12:30 am. That's when they said we aren't going to pick you up our last shuttle is at 12:30 am. Would have been nice to have known that when we called before. They said it's on our website. Like I'm going to be looking at that in the middle of the airport. Cost us a 45 dollar cab ride to get back there. They are not close to the airport by any means. If you're going to park and fly go to the Marriott Courtyard. It's much closer and they have 24 hour service.
Positives: Newer rooms.
Negatives: Terrible customer service, not close to the airport.

We chose this hotel because we thought it was closer to the airport. It was a difficult drive there. But it did have a shuttle, but we had a rental car to return. Good steakhouse close by, but walking was treacherous with the traffic.
Positives: Was fairly easy to access from I 95.
Negatives: Front desk staff gave curt responses.

This is a nice hotel. Everyone is friendly and nice. The parking area should have more light. Housekeepers need to place greater attention to detail. No where near the airport. Need a car to go to restaurants. Right of state highway, I would not recommend walking.
Positives: Free breakfast, nice people at the front desk.
Negatives: You need a car! Construction beside hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast buffet was very good. The parking wasn't very good because of the construction behind the building. Otherwise it was a very nice place.
Positives: Very clean and comfortable room.
Negatives: The parking.

After flying back in the United States, my sister and I were very tired. But this hotel exceeded our expectations. It was a little further than we anticipated but wow, was it worth it!! Beds were VERY comfortable, the layout of the room (two queen beds) was great.
Positives: Very clean.
Negatives: A little far from the airport.

Staff was friendly, room was very clean, newly remodeled, hotel was under construction inside and out which is not the environment that travelers want to be in but it will be over soon and hotel will look new inside and out which will be nice for the future.
Positives: The room was very clean and had a good smell about it.
Negatives: The hotel was under remodeling construction inside and out.

A pleasant enough hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Since they are not close to mass transit, you are dependent on the timing and quality of the shuttle operation (or on your own car - generally a no for Boston). Fortunately, our shuttle experience was quite positive, although one-way trips including wait time averaged 60-90 minutes. Renovation progresses and did not interfere with our experience. Our recently renovated room was quite nice. All in all, a good compromise between an expensive downtown hotel and a cheap suburban hotel with fewer amenities and more limited transportation options.
Positives: Pleasant room, good breakfast, nice shuttle driver.
Negatives: Location - too far from mass transit.

Really liked it and would stay here again. The rooms were spacious, clean and had all amenities. The rest of the hotel was under renovation so not as nice but I didn't spend any time outside my room. Breakfast bar was great - make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, juices, coffee. It's far from the airport but the free shuttle service was great and not a long wait. WiFi was very helpful and staff was courteous.
Positives: Beautiful rooms, great breakfast bar, WiFi, free shuttle service to airport.
Negatives: Far from airport but shuttle service was great help.

The rooms are nice and the renovations on the rest of the hotel will probably be done by July 2008. I would recommend this hotel.
Positives: The rooms are newly renovated and nice. The airport shuttle was convenient.
Negatives: The halls and lobby have yet to be renovated as of June 2008 and the hotel is right off a busy street.

It is in remodeling, but there was no noise due to it. Very barebones, but rooms are clean and price is inexpensive. But it is unfair to call it the Logan-Saugus hotel, as those of us from outside of Boston do not know that Saugus is not next to Logan Airport. I thought I was going to a hotel near the airport, instead I ended up 20 minutes away, in a northern suburb.
Positives: Room was large, clean.
Negatives: It was not near Logan airport, which is why I chose it.

When we arrived at the hotel after a long delayed flight we were told they did not have a room for us. It was extremely annoying and the whole process took about an hour.
Positives: The bed was comfortable.
Negatives: There were cigarette burn holes in the blankets in our non-smoking room.

My check in was very quick and friendly. Despite the fact that they had renovations going on it was very clean. They had pamphlets ready at the front desk for those who were ordering take out. The guy that brought the group of us the Airport was very nice! I would stay here again.
Positives: The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean.
Negatives: The women at the front desk in the morning were very short with me and my phone didn't work.

It was a terrible hotel and the room they gave us was terrible. There was a sign in the lobby saying Pardon our dust while we renovate but we were not expecting to have actual dust on all surfaces. It was disgusting.
Positives: They had a continental breakfast.
Negatives: The room was horrible.
