Rooms were pretty and the staff was gracious. I would much rather have room in the refrigerator to put my water than to have it full of useless items. I went downstairs in the morning to find coffee, expecting it to be complimentary and was angered to have to spend $3.00 for a small paper cup of it.
Positives: The staff was very pleasant.
Negatives: Coffee in the morning was $3.00 a cup. Valet parking was $32.00/night.

Friendly staff and a very convenient location. Good restaurants close by for all levels of dining. The handicap room was very small with a tiny closet.

Positives: The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Negatives: The handicap rooms only have one bed which is not a good policy as handicap persons often need a helper.

I was very disappointed that my husband and I had to sleep in separate beds. I was traveling with my husband for a quick romantic getaway. I had called the hotel in advance to let them know that this was the intention of this stay and they could not accommodate this request.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Could not accommodate my king bed request.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were European modern decor. Very comfortable beds. Complimentary internet was a plus with a good work area. They offered in-room snacks and beverages but at ridiculously high prices but there is a nice restaurant called Sydney's inside the hotel. It was a great place for hanging out in the evening.
Positives: Close to MIT, friendly, helpful staff.
Negatives: Horrible pillows.

I think the hotel was beautiful. The staff was eager to please. Unfortunately, snack and refreshment bar I felt were a bit pushy and tacky. If I had my children with me it would have been difficult to prevent them from wanting the candy and snacks that were out on the dresser. The frig was stocked, thats nice but everything was just too expensive. In addition there was no room to keep a drink that was not purchased at the hotel cool. It felt weird and I thought very tacky. Lacking in amenities, I have never stayed in a hotel where you have to call guest services for things like shower caps. Was also not very comfortable with the heat/cooling system. Different parts of the room were different temps. And when the system was turned on - one side of the room was cold and other too warm to sleep. Overall it was truly just OK. I question the 4 star rating except that the staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly. I think this hotel is for business people who have an expense account and do not care that they are being overcharged.

Positives: Pretty rooms.
Negatives: On entering room candy & goodies are in your face. No place to keep anything cool because frig is full with extras that are overpriced.

This is one of the nicest hotels we've ever stayed in. It was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was spacious, comfortable and very quiet (on the 5th floor). The food was excellent. Food service was very fast and friendly. soft sheets, beautiful view, really an excellent, all round experience.
Positives: Every single employee was friendly and helpful.
Negatives: Loud tv in restaurant area.

Upscale, with nice rooms, and a good staff.
Positives: Modern with a great staff.
Negatives: Dirtiest bathrooms (in the lobby) that I have ever seen.

1 person only at check-in with line of 8 people. Ridiculous placement of mini-bar food items taking up almost entire desk and electronically set-up to record movement. Asked 2 times to have it removed before food was removed. Then it was put back next day. Next day I asked 3 times and it took 3 hours. Then they charged me 100 dollars for items taken reversed of course. Really weird for otherwise well-appointed room with great bed, lamps, internet, etc.
Positives: Well appointed room.
Negatives: Understaffed and absurd mini-bar.

The hotel was nice from inside, I liked the retro glamor decor. Staff was friendly and courteous and the beds were very comfortable and clean. I had the fried artichoke heart appetizer and a cup of their made fresh daily clam chowder at the hotel restaurant, Sidney's Cafe, both were very good.
Positives: Exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows!
Negatives: Sketchy neighborhood.

Positives: Comfy bed.
Negatives: Put shower caps in the bathroom. Also , the Grey paint in the bathroom made putting on makeup difficult.

Design was great and location was good, staff was very helpful. honor bar was not inspected properly and i was charged for it, but they removed charge. they cut corners in bath products and towels, fell short of 4 stars.
Positives: Room design is
Negatives: Cheap bathroom products, the way they honor bar displayed candy was cheap and offensive.

Le Meridien is a lovely and modern hotel, outfitted to reflect its proximity to MIT. The rooms are well-appointed and everything seems very new (except for less than cutting edge televisions). A 10-12 minute walk from the Central Square T Station, and attached to a supermarket, car rental facility, and parking garage, the hotel has an excellent and convenient location. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who wants to be close to the mix in Cambridge and Boston.
Positives: Very nice hotel, with modern accommodations and a very good location.
Negatives: The hotel was very modern and well kept, except its time to replace the TV's with flat-screen models.

Positives: I was fully satisfied.
Negatives: I didn't have more time there.

I thought the place was nice easy access to the T. I am not a big fan of paying to park on top of the rising cost of rooms. Parking so tight I had to get out the passenger door.
Positives: Clean safe neighborhood.
Negatives: Loud people in hall in middle of night easy to hear and the parking charge.

Excellent hotel for the business or leisure traveler in a great location in Cambridge. Within walking distance of MIT, Harvard and many shops and restaurants. You will not be disappointed. The bathrooms will inspire you to upgrade your own!
Positives: Quiet, excellent furnishings and style, excellent location.
Negatives: Parking will cost you.

This is not a luxury hotel by any means. The mattresses are no better than motel 6. Bathroom is small. Our biggest complaint was the clunky AC and pipes. The AC sounded like someone was banging on the door every time it shut off. The pipes thud anytime your neighbor turns on their water. The entire hotel is basically a pig with some lipstick slapped on to make it look pretty. Would have liked a mini fridge in the cabinet that was obviously built for one. Location is ok if you do not mind the 3 block walk to the T. At night the area turns pretty shady.
Positives: Free WiFi in the library and lobby.
Negatives: Loud clunky AC & pipes keep you awake at night.
