After reading reviews of this hotel, I was concerned that the rooms would be "cozy" and that I would be walking on top of my traveling partner the entire time, the room was large by any standard and the bed comfortable and clean...side note that I stayed on club level and rooms could be different on the lower levels of hotel.
Positives: Very clean and professional staff.
Negatives: Bathroom was a little small and no mini fridge.

Excellent for the price. Friendly environment. Great service and location. Very clean. Quiet and nice. The food in the restaurant was not good at all. The menu looks great on paper - interesting dishes, but there is no quality in it whatsoever. I would come back to this hotel, but I would not dine in their premises.
Positives: Excellent service on the part of the staff; the room was absolutely clean.
Negatives: The quality of food; change the chef.

It is a beautiful hotel. If you don't mind staying a five minute walk from Harvard Sq you can save a decent amount of money. Rooms are well appointed and the staff was friendly. The views are mediocre but I didn't expect much from the Harvard area. Not a lot to see other than brick buildings. I would stay there again for sure.
Positives: Nice television and electronics in room, short walk to Harvard Sq.
Negatives: The hotel elevator was very small.

Perfect location; near mass transit, cultural facilities, excellent surrounding area, clean and very helpful staff.
Positives: Staff was excellent.
Negatives: Noise level from street.

I have stayed at the Sheraton Commander a number of times. It is an excellent hotel with attractive rooms, dedicated staff, and a great location. I highly recommend it. There are other fine hotels in the Harvard Square area, but much more expensive.
Positives: Beautiful, great location, pleasant staff.
Negatives: Heating system was a bit noisy, but not unduly.

Other than being told that my room would overlook Harvard square, when in fact it looked straight into the windows of other hotel guests, it was a nice room and very convenient just 2 blocks to Harvard square.
Positives: Great amount of space in my room. Nice lobby area.
Negatives: My windows stared into other hotel guests rooms. Couldn't leave shades open.

This hotel is beautiful inside. The rooms are very comfortable and immaculately clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful with directions and local information.
Positives: Immaculate rooms, friendly staff, close to train station.
Negatives: Costs $25 to park your car in the hotel lot.

Older hotel, but the room I was in has been renovated. Very small bathroom but served my needs. Place to sleep, not a place to hang out.
Positives: Great location for my needs.
Negatives: Staff is very unfriendly.
