Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is a little inconvenient but the shuttle helps with this.

Positives: Great staff!

Negatives: Location was a little inconvenient, especially at night when you can't walk as many places.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Comfortable bed.

Positives: The shuttle service was great.

Negatives: No problems.

Newly remodeled, clean rooms. The bed was very comfortable.

Positives: Convenient location to Boston University. Easy walking distance.

Negatives: Parking fee is $35 a night. Outrageous!

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 22 Aug 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Very Good Hotel - but parking of 35$ is pretty steep. Also internet connection was 12$/night.

Positives: Very comfortable.

Negatives: Paid parking, and Internet.

Don't bother with this hotel. The staff was indifferent, the restaurant has poor service and worse food. The lobby is dark and people sitting on floors as there is no proper waiting area. Parking is outrageously priced. Very poor hotel for business travelers.

Positives: Have not found any positives during this stay.

Negatives: Staff, hotel, price and location.

This is a 2 star hotel trying to be a 5 star,
the Bistro Café does not have prices on the menu, staff would not budge on prices seen on the web, much cheaper, anyone knowing a 4 to 5 star hotel will never come back to this hotel, sorry, I travel a lot, I will never return to Boston to stay.

Positives: Leaving.

Negatives: It was near nothing in Boston, you would have to cab everywhere.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 02 Jul 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

I have been fortunate enough to book this hotel two different times on Priceline. The location is fantastic for families that are in Boston/Cambridge to look at colleges. The staff from check-in to the restaurant and gym were all very helpful and friendly.

Positives: The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful!

Negatives: Everything was great.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 01 Jul 2011 rated 6 out of 10.

Star rating did not align with what I saw. The breakfast was overpriced for the small variety that they offered at the buffet. Parking rates were high. The lobby looked outdated as well as the outside of the building. Shuttle services only run until 6:30pm, which caused us to spend more money on taxis. We could not take the car out since there were no in and out access.

Positives: Excellent staff, always met my needs.

Negatives: Hotel exterior and lobby was not 4 star quality, parking was expensive, city view from room was not up to par.

Great hotel. Inconvenient to public transportation.

Positives: Very nice rooms.

Negatives: Very inconvenient location.

Good property if you need to be in the Harvard/Boston University area. Rooms were great, and the staff is awesome.

Positives: Good quality Hyatt on the rooms.

Negatives: The atrium area looked a little 60'ish.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 23 May 2011 rated 4 out of 10.

No toilet fan, no mini fridge, no ice on the floor, staff slow and not too eager to help, parking outrageous. The hotel is too expensive for a mediocre stay.

Positives: Positively, ridiculously expensive for the little you get, including staff.

Negatives: Everything, count on $500 extra above what you think your bill will be, they tell you one thing and change it once you're there.

The hotel met all of my expectations and was convenient to the Mass Pike, Harvard Square and Fenway Park. I would stay in this hotel again.

Positives: The rooms were modern and clean. I was able to check-in quickly and there was ample parking in the garage.

Negatives: I didn't like the fact that the maid knocks on the door so early. Use the privacy sign.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 28 Apr 2011 rated 9 out of 10.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Positives: I did like the complimentary service very much.

Negatives: There is no free parking space.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 25 Apr 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

Great hotel, the only thing that's bothersome is being asked to pay for Internet in this day and age!

Positives: Great room.

Negatives: Had to pay for Internet, don't have to pay at echo lodge or panera bread.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 28 Mar 2011 rated 10 out of 10.

A fancy, but not excessively luxurious place to stay for a business or leisure trip to Boston or Cambridge.

Positives: Fancy rooms, cool glass elevators, helpful staff (doormen, bar staff, front desk staff, cleaning staff).

Negatives: Breakfast was too expensive.

It's just a place to stay. It's not convenient. The staff is not friendly and not helpful.

Positives: The room is clean and big. The public space is big. It's quiet.

Negatives: The staff members are not helpful. They are unfriendly.

Convenient to Cambridge and downtown Boston, this hotel has a pleasant high-end feel without being pretentious. The rooms are cool-looking and comfortable.

Positives: Rooms had a high-quality feel, and excellent beds.

Negatives: Valet parking was overpriced, and

This hotel is on the edge of the MIT campus right on the Charles River with a beautiful view of Beacon Hill and the Back Bay in Boston. Otherwise it stands alone from any other real city vitality. There are no restaurants within walking distance. There was a Christian Revival meeting happening in the largest meeting room which we could hear clearly from the lobby.

Positives: The room was chic with an ugly view of the parking lot.

Negatives: The lobby felt like a mall. The hotel felt a bit shabby around the edges- the architecture past it's prime.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 25 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

I was very happy to stay at this hotel for the rate I received thru priceline. The cost made any inconveniences insignificant. The room was very comfortable: beds, heating, lighting, cleanliness --all good. The views of Boston were very nice. The cost of parking was high, $35 but you can come and go without a hassle or charge.

Positives: Lighting was warm, extra large dressing/make up area, beds comfy.

Negatives: Didn't like how you had to access the gym, no one in gym to hand out towels.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 18 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

I give this hotel, the Cambridge Regency Hyatt, a high rating. The view of the city of Boston and the Charles River Basin is magnificent. If one likes to walk, this is a great lace to come to.

Positives: It is beautiful, clean, and friendly. The shuttle service to other places in Cambridge was important.

Negatives: Nothing.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 17 Nov 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

A lovely, modern building. Bathroom was spotless.

Positives: Modern, clean, cheerful and well decorated.

Negatives: Not near public transportation. No mini fridge in room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 07 Nov 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

The hotel was beautiful and I loved that it was located on the water. With the exception of the surrounding traffic it was easy to get to and close to surrounding attractions like the New England Aquarium.

Positives: I didn't like that you could be charged for parking.

Negatives: The pool/weight room was located above the parking garage, made for cold walks.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 04 Nov 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Overall nice.

Positives: The shower head.

Negatives: The elevators and the lobby was outdated.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 22 Oct 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

This hotel was perfect for my travel needs. Very comfortable room and bed. The free hotel shuttle service to Harvard Square and the T-Subway Line were definite pluses. Overall a great hotel for the Priceline price I paid.

Positives: The comfort of the room and shuttle service to Harvard.

Negatives: A little challenging to get to this hotel by public transit.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 14 Sep 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

This hotel was promoted as a 4 star hotel, but the lobby and staff was compromised in their effectiveness. Rooms were spacious and gym was excellent.

Positives: Rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable.

Negatives: Parking was too expensive. Not enough recommendations for restaurants etc.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 14 Sep 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

Beautiful hotel on the Charles River. The Breakfast buffet was relatively expensive, but the food was very good. The room was clean, updated, and nicely appointed. The gym although disconnected from the main hotel was way above average for hotel gyms with a great lap pool. Parking was expensive $35/day.

Positives: Clean, well appointed, great gym.

Negatives: Shuttle took too long to go anywhere.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 14 Sep 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Overall, this hotel underwent a $15 million dollar renovation recently, and they missed everything that was important. The TV in my room did not work properly. The bathroom had a shower only, and when closed it leaked enough that the rug outside the bathroom was wet when I came out. There is ice available only on odd numbered floors, floor 9 and below, I was on the 15th floor. The in-out garage pass for the day did not open the gate twice, and both times I had to wait for hotel staff to open it. The iron in the room was the useless, I couldn't properly iron a new dress shirt out of the package.

Positives: The bed and pillows were new and comfortable.

Negatives: Hi speed internet was available at the hotel for a fee, parking was abnormally high at $35.00 for the night, thats higher than New York.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 13 Sep 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

The Hyatt Regency Cambridge offered me a pleasant stay. The exercise room, pool with sundeck, women's locker room, and sauna are well maintained. It would be wonderful if they added a jacuzzi to the pool area.

Positives: The staff was outstanding. They helped me resolve a difficulty with unsurpassed excellence!

Negatives: I did not like the connecting door in my room, since I was alone. Rooms with connecting doors should be given to parties with multiple guests only.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 09 Sep 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

It was fine,
I got exactly what expected, not an inch more, but not much less.

Positives: Averageness.

Negatives: Averageness.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 31 Aug 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

You should not have to pay for wifi or bottled water in hotels that nice.

Positives: Outstanding view and good location to Harvard and MIT.

Negatives: No refridgerator in room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 22 Aug 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Nice room. Front desk rarely picked up the phone, calls always rolled over to the next number, sometimes rolled to another number. I could not get two queens so I requested a rollaway. I requested several times over the course of the day before they finally delivered (no charge for the bed, which was nice). Besides the staff, which was nice but perhaps too thinly staffed, the hotel was nice. The pool was nice, but my kids didn't like the salt water. The breakfast buffet was very nice but not cheap at $18 for adults, $9 for kids. Parking is $35 per day, but not entirely unreasonable given the location. The hotel deserves its 3.5 stars. I would stay there again, especially at Priceline price.

Positives: Nice room, worthy of 3.5 stars.

Negatives: Front desk never picked up phone, concierge rarely there, salt water pool.

A nice high end luxury type hotel experience in kind of a awkward location. An outstanding bargain for the price we paid, despite the location.

Positives: Nicest bed I have ever slept in!

Negatives: Kind of an awkward location for public transit.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 14 Aug 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

It is a nice hotel located on the shore of Charles river. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. Everything is good, if you don't mind the public transportation.

Positives: It is a pretty nice hotel, clean room and friendly staff.

Negatives: Public transportation is not very close.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 10 Aug 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

Staff was unhelpful, room is smelly, river view is nice, location was safe but too far from Boston action.
Positives: River view.

Negatives: Room smelled strongly of mildew.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 10 Aug 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

This hotel is fully renovated, so rooms are just as new. Everything worked ok. Very happy for the price-benefits ratio. Is a little far away for walking distance ventures. The only lack I found is that they don't offer room service after 11pm or so, so if you need food or anything you are in trouble, as they don't have anything to sell in the lobby neither any nearby store.

Positives: Like brand new as it just finish a renovation.

Negatives: No room service after mid-night.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 01 Aug 2010 rated 2 out of 10.

They were totally incompetent at this hotel. I would make a request and they would call me back a long time afterward to ask me again what I wanted. They should have written it down properly the first time. And it took them forever to get me the proper size bathtub plug. They would get me several, that were way too small before finally getting me the right size. I was supposed to meet some friends for beverages and appetizers before a concert. But I missed the beverages and appetizers. I barely made it in time for the concert.

Positives: They gave me a free breakfast.

Negatives: The free breakfast was only because they kept me waiting all day for a bathtub plug the day before.

The hotel is moderately old, but still modern. We were put into a room with a single king bed but we needed two doubles for the 4 of us. The real problem was a leaking AC system which sounded like a jet engine. The carpet area around the unit was soaked, and they couldn't/wouldn't fix it. We finally got a stack of towels to put on top of the carpet. Since no other rooms were available - we were stuck.

Positives: Nice view of the river.

Negatives: AC leak in the room, they could not/would not fix.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 06 Jul 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

This was a very comfortable property with extra large rooms. Breakfast was pricey, $18 for the buffet, $12 for bacon and eggs. Parking expensive at $35 a night, we parked in a garage a mile away for $15 a night. Nearest "T" stop was about 1/3 mile away. Shuttle service was horrible. We had a leak in the bathroom and they were quick to move us to another room and compliment us with internet and breakfast, very good customer service. Very clean!

Positives: Huge rooms even had complimentary toothpaste in the bathroom!

Negatives: Shuttle service was horrible.

Overall, very pleased with our stay. I would recommend Priceline and Hyatt Regency to family and friends.

Positives: Very friendly staff, great view of Boston especially at night.

Negatives: The location of the pool was inconvenient.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 02 Jul 2010 rated 4 out of 10.

The Hyatt was once a really nice place to stay but this one has seen better days. The old Spinnaker Lounge is now a reception space, so that draw is gone. No magnificent views of the Charles River, etc. anymore. Our room wasn't ready at 3:00 or 3:30 or 4:00 -- took forever to get a drink in the bar. Room was small but not bad, though the sheets, etc. were not very nice. I would not stay here again.

Positives: Architecture is interesting, though outdated, elevators fun for kids.

Negatives: Fake plants, worn facilities, sheets not up to par, cheap toiletries.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 08 Jun 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel is very clean. From the entrance to the room. The hotel staff very friendly. It feels home away from home.

Positives: I liked everything. It was a perfect place to stay for what I was doing in Boston..

Negatives: None

Room was small but adequate. View of the river was very nice. Large flat-screen TV. Long (25 min) wait to check-in and check-out. No mini-fridge, no microwave. Very loud noise from the events downstairs. Not near any public transportation. Parking was $8/hour or $35/night. Wireless Internet was $13/day. Front desk staff was not helpful about local information. Told us that we had a 2-mile walk to any restaurants, so we had to eat at the overpriced restaurant in the hotel. We had a whole shopping bag of unopened snacks (crackers, cookies, cereal bars, etc.) taken from our room while we were out. We complained to the front desk staff, and they told us that housekeeping must have just thrown it out because it looked like trash.

Positives: View of river.

Its a nice hotel, but it isn't close to anything. Staff was great, great view of Boston from across the river.

Positives: Room setup.

Negatives: Location.

Loved the hotel itself but did not like the location. Shuttle drivers were very friendly and this was helpful since we didn't have a car. Shuttle was not available after 6 PM so unless you want to use cabs you're stuck at the hotel. Bring a bike. Salt water pool is awesome but I wish there was a hot tub.
Positives: Recently remodeled and clean.

Negatives: Location is not near public transit or any restaurants or coffee shops.

There was a bug in the shower, a fly on my pillow, $15/day for internet, bad location, can't walk to anything, tiny menu in restaurant.

Positives: The modern design of the room.

Negatives: The bug in my shower.

Be prepared to pay for parking a water view and internet. This hotel is not close enough to the metro to take advantage of a great metro system in Boston, nor close enough to Cambridge downtown to walk to any restaurants.

Positives: Room was large.

Negatives: Far from metro, expensive parking and internet, no microwave, fridge, DVD player.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 22 Mar 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

The room was big and very clean. The HDTV was also a nice addition. The wireless internet was 15 per day, but the connection speeds were extremely bad. Other than that, the hotel was very nice.

Positives: Room had a High Definition TV and was extremely clean.

Negatives: Wireless internet connection was very bad, even in the room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 20 Mar 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Very nice hotel in a good location. My room was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was professinal.

Positives: Pleasantly surpeised.

Negatives: I had to pay $35 for parking, would have been nice if I was told.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 12 Oct 2009 rated 5 out of 10.

Conference hotel. Yes, the carpets were miserable as others have said. Hotel has only one over-priced restaurants and very few options in the immediate area unless you use the free shuttle to hit the tourist areas. Likely getting kickbacks from taxi services as there is no airport shuttle but always a line of taxis. Meeting rooms were small, poor audio, used old equipment for AV. Meals were over-priced and highly surcharged if room service. Four days there and only had one good server. I found the staff cold and minimally courteous, but was told by several that the Boston area in general, does nothing for you without expecting a tip. I should have tipped the housekeeper so she would have cleaned the trash and mildew with dirt behind the desk and coffee service in my room. Very much agreed that the property is outdated and needs renovation, even in the commons.

Positives: Endless hot water and nice to include toothpaste as a toiletry in the room for those that fly in (TSA).

Negatives: Pricey for lesser quality. No fast food options nearby to run for a snack at breaks.
