It was a good value for the price I paid. The location was excellent and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Positives: I liked the location and the staff.
Negatives: To be very picky - the bathroom was small.

I checked in with my wife and business colleagues as we were shooting a TV show in Boston. I needed a bigger room and since I did it on Priceline, they could have given what was in the computer. But being a Priority Member and in need of a bigger room for paper work for the TV show, drawing boards, etc, the gentleman at the front desk (Asian gentleman, didn't catch his name unfortunately) upgraded me to a suite without a fuss. Just a class guy who understood our needs and didn't hesitate. Very nice hotel and good location but because of his hospitality, I would always recommend the Holiday Brookline from here on out!
Positives: Right next to the T, and very friendly staff.
Negatives: Could update the fitness room.

It was a convenient location and nice hotel. Parking is expensive, but it's in a city so you can't expect much there. Staff was very nice and overall a good experience.
Positives: It was much nicer than I expected from a Holiday Inn.
Negatives: Crazy people hanging out in front of the entrance and in the lobby.

It was a very nice hotel! We loved the layout of the rooms. The inside rooms overlooked the pool, big chess board and lounge. Our room with the king size bed was perfect. The location was also great. Would recommend this hotel.
Positives: The location was close to Cambridge. We loved the layout of the rooms. Thought the big chess board and pool great.
Negatives: Parking - $21.00. Thought if we stayed in the hotel that we should have free parking!

We have stayed at this hotel a few times. Once on a trip to look at BU, again for orientation and again when we dropped our son off at school. The first time the room was decent, clean, and comfortable. Next time we got a room on one of the higher floors and it was very nice. It was big, clean, and comfortable. Third time they tried to give us a tiny room on the first floor. I felt claustrophobic, and the bed looked like it was for a 5-year-old and the air conditioner was not working. It was very hot in the room and it was right across from the jacuzzi entrance where it smelled like chlorine. When I went to the front desk to ask to change rooms, the woman was very nice. After listening to my complaints, she said no problem, "We want you to be comfortable and happy" so she changed our room without a problem. It was much nicer and bigger with a king sized bed. They do charge $18.00 to park but another hotel I called whose rates were higher, charged $40 a night for parking. For the most part, it's comfortable, clean, and the employees are very helpful, and friendly. If you're looking for the Ritz, don't stay there, but if you're looking for decent place, it's good. Be specific when you make your reservation. Tell them what kind of room you want with what sized bed you're looking for so that there are no surprises. I couldn't see paying the same amount of money for a small room when you can get the larger sized one with a king sized bed for the same price. P.S. they offer a discount if you have a student at BU.
Positives: Good location for the price.
Negatives: Some rooms are very small.

Negatives: Elevator was slow.

Positives: Friendly staff, outstanding location and beautiful part of Boston.
Negatives: Nothing.

This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. The indoor pool is in the hallway, which creates a stench of chlorine throughout the hallway. The rooms only have windows facing the hallway, with no outdoor view. There is also no on-street parking, so be prepared to pay $18 a night to park in the garage. Strongly recommend to not stay at this hotel.
Positives: Location wasn't bad.
Negatives: The pool smelled up the hallway and there is no parking.

The hotel was located right near things that one can see within walking distance or short cab fare. The rooms were clean and well kept. The service desk was very pleasant and I would highly recommend anyone to use Priceline in hopes that you get this hotel.
Positives: It was bright, cheerful and CLEAN.
Negatives: I was very pleased with everything.

Nice space, convenient to where we wanted to be. No real problems except on check in we couldn't get the executive room we asked for as they somehow overbooked. However, they offered us either free parking or free breakfast for our three day stay which mollified us well enough.
Positives: Convenient location, friendly, helpful staff. free parking offered in exchange for room snafu.
Negatives: Our room was small (but bathroom was large).

The hotel is in a prime location; however, this is the only perk of the hotel. Had an interior room which was very humid due to the indoor pool and the bathroom was very small, dated and no ventilation. The room itself was nice with Wi-Fi, LCD TV, and comfy bed. Staff was not very helpful with the exception of one or two employees.
Positives: Bed was comfy.
Negatives: Room location and bathroom.

This hotel is very convenient to the T line. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. There is no refrigerator nor a microwave in this room. Outside of these issues, we enjoyed our stay at this location.
Positives: Very helpful, friendly staff.
Negatives: The wakeup service did not work and the A/C did not cool properly.

I got what I asked for- a no frills well-located, lower priced hotel.
Positives: The location was great.
Negatives: Parking was not cheap.

This hotel definitely fit the "bill" for us. We were in Boston to drop our son off at school. The hotel staff were very accommodating. But most importantly, their underground garage is very accessible and could accommodate our Chevy Express passenger van, which has a very long wheel base and it 6'6" high. The Marriot, which is just down the street, has a parking garage that just barely fit our vehicle (one inch clearance from our roof even though it states it is 6' 9") and was hot and musty. The lobby was nice, and they had a unique garden running across the front. The pool is centrally located and just a step away from some of the rooms and is in an activity area.
Positives: Location of the pool, easy access to parking garage and that it could fit our large Express Van
Negatives: No outside windows

Rooms are small, but ok. Entire hotel interior smells like the swimming pool, but public spaces are nice.
Positives: Pleasant, safe area convenient to the T
Negatives: tiny room, no bathtub

NY: Wyndham: overall, a great value, super clean rooms, very comfortable beds, for NY, great room in a convenient hood. Brookline: For a budget-minded traveler, this hotel offers everything you need: huge rooms, convenient to T, near Brookline Village, friendly staff.
Positives: NY: Convenient, super comfy beds, good aircon. Brookline: clean, huge room, overall good value.
Negatives: NY: Bland lobby. Brookline: funky smell in atrium area..

Great hotel and location, friendly staff but wireless connection is terrible. Do not go if you need to get work done unless you want to be waiting to use the computer and printer every time.
Positives: The hotel staff was very kind and helpful.
Negatives: The internet connection did not reach my room lost 2 days of work.

Excellent customer service and great location.
Positives: The staff was amazing. Everyone at the front desk was so helpful.
Negatives: Nothing!

Overall very nice, helpful staff. The remodeling in the lobby was not complete.
Positives: Recently remodeled room, and very nice.
Negatives: The parking garage had standing water and cost $18 per night.

Great proximity to Harvard sports facilities. Hotel is ok, if you only need a place to sleep. Common areas are drab and run down. Staff was great, though.
Positives: Price was good and location was also good.
Negatives: TV did not work, did not know that I had to pay $36 for parking.

The shower was full of cleaner and grit like it was getting ready to be cleaned. The pool water was milky. It took too long to get anything from the front desk like turn on the jacuzzi, open the workout room extra towels-none at the pool. Ice machine didn't work.
Positives: Pool right outside the door.
Negatives: No window to outside.

Hotel room and bathroom were a little smaller than average. Had trouble with the air conditioner. He was not nasty or anything.
Positives: Location was good, not too busy.
Negatives: May need some updating soon.

This is a decent and clean hotel. If you need to be near Coolidge Corner, Brookline which is one of my favorite neighborhoods, then this is a decent option.
Positives: Very convenient to Coolidge Corner, Brookline where I needed to be.
Negatives: Don't like that the only window in room faces a Glass Enclosed Corridor. Hence, curtains must always be drawn for privacy.

The hotel was clean and nice, though when we arrived we were told that check in was not until 3 or 4 instead of 2:00. Otherwise the location was great, right across from the T station. There was a nice shopping and neighborhood area surrounding the hotel.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Staff was unfriendly.
