I was deeply disappointed that when we checked in, we were sent to "the villages" - located down and across the street from the mansion. We were no where near the ocean or the mansion - which was what we thought we were paying for. Our room only had one bed - that wasn't made clear to me when booking the room.
Positives: The hotel is conveniently located on the Cape.
Negatives: Property was split between two areas - and they were far apart from each other.

The hotel property is beautiful, we loved the beach, our hotel room was vacation condo but we were on the bottom floor, we could hear the people above us, the bed was uncomfortable & our room was dark with no patio.
Positives: Great hotel with beautiful grounds, beach and pools.
Negatives: Bed was uncomfortable, our room was a ground floor condo without much natural light, we hear the people above us & it had no patio/ balcony.

Me and my spouse with our baby went here for a nice quiet vacation. Well, the quiet was there. But everything else that is advertised was not. First of all we get there, and there is no 'pack n play' like they said there would be. Than they bring one into the room after I called, and the sheets were clean, but the 'pack n play' was dirty of stains that were on it and some rips, and wobbly. At the price that they charge for the room you would think they could buy a new one. The furniture was also stained and the floor looked like it needed vacuuming. Also, when you get there, there is no sign directing you to the front desk or where to park in which area. So you are confused as to where to check in. And if you have a baby which we did, you have to take the stroller up these huge stairs or go to a different building to take an elevator to get to a ramp to get to the front desk! So, it is not well set up for the handicap or babies. They talk of room service, but when we were there they said they would not have room service till after memorial day! And if you want a breakfast brunch, the hotels restaurant provides it for a costly fee. Its not free and only the coffee is free, if you can get to it before it runs empty. Than, the next morning, we went out to our car because we needed to drive down to see the water since online it talks about a bay view! which is very misleading because you cannot see the water from your room. It just means your facing in the right direction! So, when we went out to our car there were about 50 little green worms all over our car from their tree in the parking lot! We could not get in the car since they were crawling all over! I went to the front desk and they offered nothing to help me get them off! I simply had to ask them where the car wash was and they printed me out directions and never offered to help clean it off, it was disgusting. They said well the trees are in bloom because of spring; that is no excuse! After we drove a couple miles down to have it washed, we made sure that we parked on the far other side away from the trees, we still found 3 worms that next morning which is easier to handle rather than 50. We also had them replace the 'pack n play' the next day with a different one. It was also old and stained, but at least it was not wobbly so it did not look like it was gonna fall apart at least. They also advertise a spa. Well you have to call a phone number to make an appointment. No one ever answers. We left a message, the lady calls us back and left a message saying there are no appointments available for the entire Saturday and Sunday! She did not even offer to call us in case one did come available! If you are tennis player, their tennis courts look nothing special or much different than the kind you find in an apartment complex. Yes there pool is nice and workout room. But we have a baby and did not need the work out room or pool. The food is not bad, fair tasting, but a little over priced as is the resort itself.
Positives: The nearby stores in Brewster are nice, but you need to drive to them, you can't just walk.
Negatives: Everything in my review!

Beautiful, very large complex, with a variety of room choices. Condo complexes on lovely golf course. Reservation building was old and beautiful. some rooms on or close to the beach.
Positives: very pretty setting, nice landscaping, on a golf course.
Negatives: Condo complexes were not cozy, but new and nice.

The grounds are stunning. The staff is wonderful. I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the shower. Also, the carpet was wet around the sliding glass door. They did put a de-humidifier near the area to help with the smell. Overall, we loved the resort and would<BR/>definitely stay here again.
Positives: Great beach, loved having a kitchen and washer/dryer, great staff.
Negatives: The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked. We had a water leak in the living room.

This hotel was very nice and clean. The amenities are great. The only thing we did not like is the 11:00 am checkout (a little early if you want to sleep in) and restricted access to the beach.
Positives: It has a very large property with plenty of aminities.
Negatives: Because the property is so large, you have to drive to your quaters.

I was not allowed to use the beach, only people on the beach side of the hotel were allowed to use the beach. I was charged a 20 per day resort fee.
Positives: Spacious room.
Negatives: I was charged a 20 dollar resort fee per day, no beach access.

We were there on a Monday before the high season. When checked in, we were suggested to dine in their two restaurants in our villa side, which were actually both closed. The biggest disappointment came at check out when we were charged $19.75 resort. The staff explained that covers for the use of pool and shuttle services, and even we didn't use either service, we still need to pay. This is a fee that we didn't know when we check in, and I still have trouble finding the fine print on the website. The discussion of this fee pretty much killed our vacation mood.
Positives: Nice kitchen.
Negatives: The $19.75 resort fee at check out.

Not bad hotel but I found the person performing check in to be unfriendly. No housekeeping the first day. We had to call and request it. When we checked in my wife found dirty towel in the bathroom and hair in the bathtub. At the check in we were not told about additional resort fee that would be charged to our credit card. We found the bill under the door on the way out. Who does it? What kind of customer service is this? I am sure we will not go back to this place.
Positives: Hotel room.
Negatives: Additional resort fee we found out about on the way out. The bill was left under the door which I find to be unprofessional.

Excellent location and value. We had a one bedroom villa. Wonderfully decorated with many perks (i.e. flat screen TV, small kitchen, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, hi-speed internet, etc.) Our villa was not on the main campus, but shuttle was available every 15 minutes just outside our door. Beach was beautiful. Restaurants were nice, but very pricey. Conveniently located to many cape attractions, but out of the way of the "rat race." would highly recommend. I will be staying there again.
Positives: Location, ambiance, cleanliness, updated rooms.
Negatives: Restaurants were very pricey for what was served.

Ocean Edge is a nice resort with indoor pools, work out facilities and an excellent golf course. The staff is very friendly and nice to kids. The main area consists of a beautiful restored mansion overlooking the bay. The hotel offers a lot of programs and activities for kids during the summer but we stayed there in October and, although the weather was nice, there was not much on site to do. The rooms are spacious one bedroom condominium apartments with a kitchen, balcony, and pull out sofa for the kids.
Positives: The staff was very friendly and nice to my kids.
Negatives: It is too spread out. Our room was approximately 1 1/2 miles from main lobby.

This resort was nice, had spacious rooms, and seemed like it would be great to go to in the summer, but it is not for everyone. Unfortunately, we arrived in the fall, and almost everything that makes this a resort, all the activities etc were unavailable. Also the resort was HUGE, we were literally a few miles from the main mansion and the beach. Also, I was surprised the resort didn't have more character. The grounds and the mansion were lovely, but for the most part I didn't feel there was anything all that special about it. I have stayed at many nice bed & breakfasts on Cape Cod, and personally would much rather stay at one of them then go to the Ocean Edge Resort again. They are not only more charming and personal, but they are cheaper too.
Positives: Spacious room.
Negatives: Too big, none of the activities were available as it was off season.

I always look forward to my stays at Ocean Edge. They took over an hour to check in. We were given a villa that was actually occupied a man sleeping while we tried to enter our room. The food in the mansion was extremely sub par. I felt that the staff began not to be as helpful.
Positives: The location is very good to a variety of points in Cape Cod. The setting is very attractive.
Negatives: There was a quality of disorganization throughout our stay.

Staff does a poor job educating you on amenities. We had no idea that on a Sunday night we would need reservations to eat in their main dining room, so we ended up eating in their pub on our anniversary. They apologized and gave us our dessert for free. Again, a nice gesture, but why not educate us from the get go and I would have made plans to go elsewhere. Topping off the experience was the constant knocking at our door at 6:45 am, room service with the wrong room number.
Positives: Staff was apologetic for screw ups and upgraded us.
Negatives: Clearly are trying to get it right, but staff misses the mark.
