This is an out of the city, quiet hotel. The rooms are nicely furnished, though the furniture is scratched but sturdy. The beds were nice and clean with nice quality and decent thread count linens. The bathroom was spacious and clean, though there was some mildew on the caulk around the edge of the bathtub. All-in-all a decent hotel if you want to stay a little removed from the noise of the city, but close to a T stop that you can get anywhere you want to go easily.
Positives: The hotel was in a quiet, safe area and the sheets were wonderful!
Negatives: The furniture was all scratched and there was mildew in the caulk of the bathtub.

The hotel was in a convenient location, very clean and the staff was very friendly. The warm cookie on arrival was a nice treat.
Positives: The cafe was open late.
Negatives: They charged a $25 security depost but did not tell me.

Good place to stay in Boston area. Close to interstate and tourist areas.
Positives: Comfortable and clean, staff was helpful.
Negatives: $10 daily parking fee, this is a hidden charge, not real viable.

Although the staff could not have been nicer, this particular Doubletree was nowhere near the 3 star experience I expected. If not for the fact that I had already paid for the room and gotten a good price, I would normally have left immediately. The rooms and the lobby area were not clean. Most of the furniture was in disrepair in one way or another. The restaurant turned out to be a poorly staffed and equipped counter shoved in a corner.
Very disappointing...
Positives: The staff was extremely friendly.
Negatives: It was dirty - stains on most of the furniture and carpets.

The staff was very friendly, and we loved the cookies! The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. We loved that we could walk to the event at the Bayside Expo Center and the directions were perfect. The staff in the sandwich shop were excellent and it was very helpful to be able to use the computers available to guests. We were able to search a couple of stores we wanted to go to and print the directions.
Positives: It was friendly, clean and the location was perfect for attendance at the Bayside Expo Event.
Negatives: I can't as it exceeded my expecations.

The hotel overall was wonderful, the only problem I had was paying to park in the hotel parking lot.
Positives: Wonderful rooms.
Negatives: Had to pay for parking and that was not stated before hand.

I think it was very nice and clean. It was close to public transportation and the neighborhood seemed nice.
Positives: The proximity to the train station. Jessica at the front desk was very friendly and sweet.
Negatives: Nothing.

It was close to the T train station which was convenient. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Restaurant did not exist.
Positives: Courteous staff.
Negatives: Needed upgrading. Had to pay for internet service.

Location: very convenient to public transportation. The rooms were clean and tidy. Even the smoking rooms were similar to those that were non-smoking. I think by what the say that it's a smoking room is that people can smoke in there. I didn't find much difference expect maybe the first time you open the closet door. Service: excellent. Generally, it is nearly excellent. I would stay there again. Although no free Wi-Fi, no breakfast and no free parking.
Positives: The beds were comfortable. The room were very clean it seems like that it wasn't a smoking room at all.
Negatives: Some of the things had a little bugged but they replaced it fast.

The hotel is in a good location for people on vacation or on a business trip. It is 2 blocks away from the Red line on the Boston subway, which means it is 10 minutes away from the Boston Common and all of the historic sites in Downtown Boston and 20 minutes away from Fen way Park and the suburbs. The front desk staff took the time to explain the Boston Subway system on our first day there. We would definitely stay there again.
Positives: Their staff was helpful and attentive. The hotel was located near the Subway system (necessary in Boston).
Negatives: Their pool is actually the University of Massachusetts pool, which is located 3 blocks from the hotel.

Negatives: It better with a pool.

Was a basic, no frills hotel. My problem, there's always leftovers from the restaurants and no convenient way to store or reheat them. Service though was prime.
Positives: Offered shuttle service to downtown location and to/from airport. Convenient trolley stop.
Negatives: Location of Subway stop not very obvious and not a central spot.

Overall the experience was pleasant - hotel only had a coffee shop and a bar that didn't open until 7pm - not very convenient.

Negatives: No restaurant - or decent bar.

The comfort, quality, and presentation of the room far exceeded my expectations. The in-room coffee was very good and the room was perfectly clean.
Positives: Most comfortable bedding and good room amenities - good coffee!
Negatives: I have no complaints.

We made at least 3 separate phone calls to the front desk before finally finding the hotel. We are familiar with the Boston area, so our troubles were due this Double Tree's title: "Boston Bayside." It is actually located in the "Dorchester Ghetto," and we joked that it should have its name changed accordingly. We extended our stay, however, and found the accommodations fine for the dollar. The bed was fantastic, the room was clean, and it had a better than average shower. It is located very closely to the T (metro), and used it often. So, although it is in Dorchester, it is easy to access the city and other more impressive sites. Also the cookies, they are good and free, which is nice. They just wake you up sometimes in the middle of the night (2:15 to be exact) as the fresh smell of pizza oven and cookies is vented directly into your room. We had a good laugh about the entire situation, phone call to the front desk rectified by the free late night cookies.
Positives: Good location in relation to public transit and free cookies.
Negatives: It is not located in Boston Bayside.

This hotel was a great. Additionally, they were happy to let me leave my car parked there for a few hours after check out, which was great. The room and bathroom was totally clean, and the bed super comfortable. I'd definitely stay there again.
Positives: Warm cookies, clean, friendly, good environment.
Negatives: No room service.

The Doubletree Bayside Boston had all the basics of a hotel with a clean room. It was a little disappointing to still have to pay for parking and internet. It was very convenient to the T and a major plus for the hotel.
Positives: It was convenient to the Boston T.
Negatives: The lobby was shabby - wanted to turn around and walk out.

I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel. The location, though not one of the best for the sights and sounds of the city, is very near the JFK T stop, which makes getting anywhere very easy.
Positives: The room was much nicer than I expected.
Negatives: Finding it was more difficult than I expected.

Nice hotel, but off the path. Complementary shuttle service was a little flaky. On one occasion, they never showed up at the other hotel property & we ended up taking the Subway back to our hotel.
Positives: Close to the Subway station.
Negatives: The restaurant was insufficient.

It was enjoyable, had a comfortable bed, and some convenient amenities.
Positives: The bed, the big shower, the coffee machine.
Negatives: I asked for a shower cap and no one brought it upstairs.
