Lovely, quiet, and in a great part of Boston, expensive, but very nice.
Positives: Great location, well decorated, nice bar area outside.
Negatives: Certain desk personnel were less than helpful and friendly.

The statue in the hotel lobby is a central piece of art in the hotel. It looks, however, like ants eating a person. My spouse and I had to turn away every time we took the elevator. It gave us really a surprise the first time we saw it, and made us itch. Other than that, the hotel was excellent as the room was clean, the location was fantastic and the staff were very helpful. You can use the Amtrak to the Back Bay station and just walk one street to get there. It has great access to the subway. We would stay there again, but will not buy a similar statue for our house any time soon.
Positives: I liked the room and the location.
Negatives: My wife hated the statue in the lobby. She couldn't even look at it. I looks like ants eating a person.

This review is for the Back Bay Hotel on Stuart Street. Pros:- Very nice hotel staff - Bathroom is very large and spacious (we had a signature queen room). Hotel is very quiet.
- Good location, about 1.5 blocks from the Arlington T stop - 24/7 Room Service available - Free Wifi - I have read complaints about hotel rooms not having full-length mirrors; this room had a giant one mounted on the wall across from the closet. Cons:- Room itself is small. Normally I wouldn't mind, but coupled with the very cramped fitness room, it left me no floor space to do yoga or stretch. - TV is a nice size, but meager station selection - Fitness room is very cramped and has old equipment that is not in the best shape. (My recommendation is to go run on the esplanade.)- HVAC is finicky. I either felt like it was really hot and humid in the room, or incredibly cold once the A/C was turned on. Could not find a happy medium, so I left it on cold and crawled under the covers.
Positives: Good location, very courteous hotel staff, 24/7 room service.
Negatives: Small room, and finnicky HVAC.

Comfortable hotel in unique building in great. Neighborhood. The staff are courteous and efficient. Wireless in rooms is slow and they charge a lot to use a computer in the business center. Not a lot of room on the street for the valet to operate effectively. I had to drive around the block four times before I could get any space to pull in.
Positives: The hotel is very service oriented. The front desk, valet, and room service are extremely efficient and polite.
Negatives: The wireless connection in my room had a strong signal but ran too slowly to even check in for a flight.

One of the nicest hotels in Boston. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even remembering why we had come to Boston by wishing us a nice night at the theater two days after our arrival! Beds were very comfortable, gorgeous bathroom.
Positives: The staff was incredibly helpful in every way, from check in, to drying our clothes on a rainy day. Great personal service.
Negatives: I've seen nicer cots at beautiful hotels like this.

If you are looking for a comfortable spot with a very friendly and helpful staff, in the heart of the "back bay" with access to all that Boston has to offer, the Back Bay Hotel is a great choice.
Positives: Good location. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The property itself was very pleasant as a "boutique" style hotel.

The area was great, the staff was amazing, and the price was reasonable although it would not have been had I paid the asking price. The bathroom was wonderful. The bed could have been more comfortable.

My husband and I enjoyed a great trip to Boston at this hotel. We were within walking distance of some of the best sites, and the T was accessible as well. We would definitely stay here again!
Positives: Hotel was very clean, and bedbug free! We were extremely comforable, and in a fairly good location.
Negatives: The workout facility was pitiful - the machines worked, but you couldn't listen to any fo the TVs (despite hookups) and it was tiny!

I would stay here again.
Positives: The room was attractive and had everything I needed. It was larger than I expected.
Negatives: The lobby could use an update.

In our 2.5 day stay, we wanted to be near Newbury St. and it was. The hotel was small, a desirable trait. We did not want to be in a large hotel that might be hosting large meetings that often make for long lines. Large bathroom and good personal products was a bonus, as was the convex makeup mirror.
Positives: Convex mirror, Kiehl's products, good radio.
Negatives: Keycard system gave us some trouble, unreliable.

The room was very nice and clean and above average in amenities. The decor of the hallways and lobby were very unique and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful at all times. Concierge service was very handy.

Very hard to get a valet parking spot. No area to pull off the street so had to self park after getting stuck in one way loop of traffic. Small but boutique like lobby with nice design features. Room was well decorated and bed comfortable. On a very busy weekend, they couldn't accommodate request for 2 beds, and couldn't guarantee a roll away. Had to chance it. They did end up renting more roll aways but it was delivered 3 hours later than promised and front desk staff was not very helpful in discussing it or in returning calls with updates. Fitness room is a joke. Breakfast was ridiculously expensive, got the order wrong and food not very good.
Positives: Rooms were nicely decorated.
Negatives: Fitness room is a tiny closet with very few machines.

Traveled with my wife and son (looking at colleges in the Boston area). The hotel is newly renamed (was The Jury) and it is a deluxe hotel, with large clean bathroom, good temperature control in the room, and friendly, helpful staff. Free Internet (wired and wireless) throughout the hotel was very nice. No swimming pool, but a small, but well-equipped gym are included. Valet parking is $39 a night (typical for the area, but includes unlimited in and out access.
Positives: Free internet access, great bathroom, pleasant staff
Negatives: Outside noise level from traffic high at night (3rd floor)
