The staff were very friendly and helpful.....especially Valerie who always welcomed us with a smile and good tips on what to do and see.

Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff ie valet parking attendees, front desk, concierge, cleaning ladies etc Very clean

Negatives: We would of preferred a fridge to keep things cool and have an on site parking ...not two blocks away.

I was very happy with my short stay at the Millennium Boston for business. The location was perfect and allowed me to walk to my meetings and then pick up something to eat at Quincy Market on my way back. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was good-sized. I had read complaints about the bathrooms, but the bathroom in my room had both a shower and separate bathtub. would definitely stay here again.

Positives: Fantastic location, friendly staff,

Negatives: Pillow top mattress too soft for my back.

A lovely hotel in an ideal location for touring Boston and getting in and out of the airport. Staff was great. Room was clean and well appointed - lovely soft goods! I had a room facing the street and Fanuel Hall - beautiful view - but on the second floor the street noise started at 4 am with trucks loading and unloading. And with floor to ceiling, thin windows, I heard every squeak of the brakes! Then come the tourists. On the weekends, there's a farmers market below and at night, lots of bar traffic. Be prepared to bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. I tried to turn in early (as the night noise wasn't quite as bad as the morning noise). I also used a white noise generating application on my cell phone. I would stay again though!

Positives: Great location!

Negatives: Noisy!

Amazing small hotel across the street from Faneil Hall and Quincy Market. Beautiful rooms with wonderful linens. Very upscale !

Positives: Bed and bath linens, and the decor.

Negatives: No ice machine . Had to call room service for ice.

Overall very pleased since we weren't in the room much and the lack of view wasn't an issue. I was staying with a friend. Although they didn't charge us extra.

Positives: Great location and decor.

Negatives: No view in our room. Looking out at a brick wall and alley.

The hotel is very near historic Fanueil Hall and the Freedom Trail. There are hundreds of shops and restaurants is easy walking distance. The Hotel is first class, spotless clean with a very attentive staff. We did not eat there due to the proximity of other restaurants. We drove because Boston was a stop over place for a vacation on the Cape. Parking was very limited and very expensive. If possible it would have been better to get there with mass transit.

Positives: Extremely convenient to Historical Boston and the Italian sector.

Negatives: Parking was very limited. Parking at the hotel was $40 per day plus tip.

Overall, great hotel, great location. Roomy, nice boutique hotel.

Positives: Nice decor, spacious, esp. for Boston.

Negatives: Parking 40 dollars, 10 dollars for WiFi.

Fabulous central location directly across from Faneuil Market, and walking distance from lots of historical sites. However, I did not especially enjoy looking out our window at all the trash produced by the open produce market directly below us. On a positive note, we also had views of the Boston suspension bridge in the distance. I also appreciated the internet access. I'm sure after the renovations; this hotel will be majorly improved. It is undergoing growing pains. I would have liked to either be warned about this or else see some monetary compensation.

Positives: The lobby was very trendy and clean despite using partition screens to hide construction.

Negatives: The glaring problem was that this hotel is undergoing a major renovation

My teenage son and 8 year old daughter and I stayed three nights and had wonderful time. Our corner room was large enough to accommodate a large, comfy cot in addition to the king bed and had windows on two sides overlooking Faneuil Hall. One set of windows were French doors that opened on to a small balcony. The rooms are very recently renovated and felt brand new. The lobby and common areas are under major construction so are not attractive, but this did not matter to us. The large beautifully tiled bathroom had a glassed in shower that was a dream. The only two things missing that we love to have were an indoor pool, and a free breakfast buffet. The location, near Faneuil Hall and the North End (little Italy), the Aquarium, and Government Center "T" stop was super convenient.

Positives: Fantastic location, large room, wonderful bathroom, comfy beds, great view.

Negatives: No pool, no free breakfast buffet.

When the hotel will be fully renovated it will be fantastic. The new rooms were very tastefully decorated - including the ultramodern bathroom. Would definitely return to the hotel, not only because of its physical attributes, but the location. It is in the centre of Boston and within walking distance of most of the cities attractions.

Positives: Newly renovated rooms, clean, great location, great staff.

Negatives: Difficult to say because the hotel was under renovations.

Hotel was in a great location close to Quincy Market, North End, Freedom Trail and public transportation (subway). Currently doing major renovations to the lobby and half the rooms although this did not present any problems.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Undergoing renovations.

This hotel was great. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. I was checking out and realized that they had half the hotel under construction and didn't even realize it. They are doing a good job of this construction.

Positives: The comfort, size and quality of the room was exceptional.

Negatives: The restaurant/lounge was somewhat small but was in a great location so you could look out at Fanueil Hall.

I was a little disappointed in the layout of the room. I was again disappointed when I saw that one of the end stands was chipped. Also, looking at the bathroom. I could see the paint job was done in a hurry. I could see all sorts of paint drips on the floor. Finally, the bed seemed a bit small for a queen. I was not truly impressed with the hotel, just disappointed.

Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff.

Negatives: Furniture was worn down and chipped, Bathroom had dip paint spots.

Location too many attractions were great, as we didn't plan on spending much time in the room. Would have preferred a room with a nicer view, but for the limited time spent in the room, it was ok. This is not a family hotel as rooms are very small. Hotel was in the midst of cosmetic updates which were greatly needed. Staff was very attentive, although the bell captain could have been a bit friendlier upon our arrival as we came in the wrong way in the round about non-directional entry.

Positives: The location was within walking distance to the attraction we needed.

Negatives: Hotel was in the midst of much needed cosmetic updates.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was warm friendly and helpful. The hotel met or exceeded all of my expectations with the exception of the picture in the hotel's website. The website showed a suite for a standard room. A bit deceiving.

Positives: Comfortable room with a warm personal touch, very romantic.

Negatives: I found it fairly difficult to locate. Could be me though.

This hotel is located in an excellent area. It is very convenient to many of the Downtown attractions. It is only a short walk from the Public Gardens and Boston Common as well.

Positives: This hotel is in a great location!

Negatives: The parking fee is $40 a night. About average, but high.

Great location for families with older children. Expensive food & beverage with out the quality to match. The location made up for the short comings. Some of the staff could answer questions & were helpful.

Positives: The location was easy to everything, the t, Quincy market, the north end.

Negatives: No ice or soda machines, out dated rooms.

Location is great, lobby attractive. Staff attentive. Glass restaurant bar overlooks Fanueil Hall, very appealing. Bar staff, lot of fun great service. Room facing dirty Quincy market, room not cleans enough, hallway rugs wallpaper old, needs updating at this point star rating should be 3 only.

Positives: Staff on entry, and bar staff exceptionally friendly & professional.

Negatives: Cleanliness of room less than expected, hallways needs updating.

I love the Bostonian, and was thrilled, however the room, as mentioned above seemed to be an inferior room, room cleaning was not done until 3:30 in the afternoon. The staff was awesome, we had breakfast room service both days, and desert one evening, and the service was terrific, as was the bell staff service.

Positives: The close proximity to restaurants, shopping, subway, usually the rooms.

Negatives: The room was very small, had a view of the parking area and the Haymarket area, not very attractive compared to other rooms we've stayed in at hotel.

The location was great! Wallpaper on the ceiling was a little strange. Bathroom door was a closet door on wheels. We were told there was a complimentary breakfast on the fourth floor. We went, no menus just buffet. Food was great! However, there was no price list given. We should have asked if it was the complimentary breakfast. Very misleading. We were extremely surprised to get the 50 bill for two of us to have breakfast.

Positives: Location!

Negatives: Mislead on "complimentary breakfast" no menu/ price list for breakfast buffet.

While the service and staff were up to par for a 4 star rated property, the room left much to be desired. As a frequent business traveler, I would rank this in the 2-star category. Value is poor. And parking was excessive at $40.00 a day.

Positives: The location and proximity to local attractions is good.

Negatives: The room was outdated and furnishings worn out.
