It is a very well done conversion of an old and unique industrial/commercial property.
Positives: Suite was well appointed and comfortable, well suited for an extended stay. It is unique and one of a kind.
Negatives: Rather far removed from everything but that is actually offset by a very convenient van if you don't have transport.

Nice. Great location.
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: Surprise $35 fee for parking.

When I checked in the girl at the desk was very unfriendly. She just said her thing and that was that. There was no friendly interaction or anything. Turned me off immediately. I will probably not stay there again because of it.
Positives: The size of the rooms.
Negatives: Had an awful view and the toilet seat was broken.

Service was great. As well as the hotel standards. More parking is needed.
Positives: The bagels were bagels.
Negatives: Not the best parking.

I enjoyed my stay at the Roundhouse. The room was spacious and facilities good. The complementary shuttle bus was a great idea as the hotel is a little bit out of the city centre.
Positives: The rooms were spacious and the breakfast provided was excellent.
Negatives: It was a little of the beaten track.

The hotel itself was fine, room was clean and large. Outside the hotel 10 feet from the door is a doorway where drunks passed out and slept 24 hours a day for 3 days we stayed there. Even in the rain. We had to walk around the back of the hotel to enter without being asking for spare change by them each time we walked out the door.
Positives: Hotel itself was fine inside; staff was getting their breakfast from the guest's breakfast bar, and outside the front door was unsafe.
Negatives: Drunks passed out on the sidewalk 10 feet from the front door each of the 3 days we stayed there.

Excellent service, the shuttle drivers were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were excellent.
Positives: Very cozy, clean and comfortable.
Negatives: Close to Boston medical center, lot of sirens.

While interesting because of its history. It's in a scary part of town (2 blocks from the Methadone clinic). Because of this, you can't easily get a cab without calling for one, and while the shuttle is free, it runs every 30 minutes or so (sometimes a bit faster). It is also next to an all-night gas station that sells diesel, and the sound of trucks all night long means that you cannot really sleep with the windows open (I like fresh air). There are several hotels that were closer to the convention center that looked to be of equal or greater value. This is not a good hotel for the business traveler on a budget, nor would I want to have my small children stay there because of the neighborhood.
Positives: It is round.
Negatives: Location.

We did not like the location of this hotel. The room had a strange odor, the furniture was quite worn, the sheets threadbare. The lobby area where the breakfast buffet was offered was too small for the number of guests trying to breakfast. I would not stay in this hotel again.
Positives: It was spacious.
Negatives: The neighborhood was definitely unsettling.

Plenty of bang for your buck and close enough to tourist attractions with a shuttle (free!).
Positives: Free parking, free internet, and free breakfast.
Negatives: Front desk person could not help me when I had trouble connecting to the internet the shuttle service a little disorganized.

This was a great hotel close to many Boston attractions. Positives were a free shuttle to Boston destinations like Fenway, a great free breakfast, free parking, and the fact that the rooms were very spacious with refrigerators. Also, they allowed my large 75 lb dog to stay with us and he was very comfortable. The only negative was the area, which is a bit "rough" (but appears to be slowly developing).
Positives: They allowed my large dog.
Negatives: The area was a bit rough and industrial.

The hotel was good for the money. Nice breakfast with waffles, rooms were spacious with sofa bed perfect for family of five. Shuttle fairly quick to deliver but long on picking up. Walked to the hotel from T station a couple of times. Once at night neighborhood a bit uncomfortable for a family to walk at night. Room did have a strange smell.
Positives: Breakfast was excellent!
Negatives: The shuttle was a hassle. Often taking long to pick up.

This is a nice facility that was convenient. My room was near Mass Ave. and that was noisy with truck traffic all thru the night.
Positives: It is a unique building.
Negatives: Mass Ave is very noisy and my room was on that side.

My children and I travel a lot and although thought the breakfast was very good the room and service was lacking. I liked the in town convenience of the location. However, I do not see us booking there again.
Positives: I liked that there was separate sleeping for 3.
Negatives: The room and the bedding was not fresh, very worn and torn.

Overall staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. Rooms were nice, fridge and microwave is a nice touch. Van service is excellent because the hotel is in a poor location for attractions/activities. The location is convenient to 93 so it is fairly easy to find.
Positives: Quality van service to area locations and public transportation.
Negatives: Location is poor.

Overall, it was not bad. One thing I noticed was that during having a breakfast in the dining space in the lobby, a cleaner cleaned the floor by using vacuum cleaner and that made dusty. She did not care about it at all. Actually, it was not her fault but because of low service quality of the hotel.
Positives: Room was spacious.
Negatives: A little inconvenient location to use subway.

Nice hotel for family stay. Includes two double beds and pull out couch. Also has a small fridge and microwave. Continental breakfast is included. Convenient location to downtown Boston, though not the prettiest part of town. Staff was helpful and the hotel was clean. We'd stay there again.
Positives: Spacious room, sleeping for up to six. Good conditions.
Negatives: Area is a bit scary; parking is around the corner, across the street.

I felt that the hotel condition left a little to be desired. There was an odor, maybe the carpet solution, which was not pleasant. The neighborhood is not the best and there is very limited parking in the lot for guest and almost no street parking near the hotel. We were issued a parking tag but were unable to park in the lot because it was full when we returned from dinner. I had to drive around the hotel for 30 minutes before someone pulled out and I was able to park on the street.
Positives: The room itself was clean and well appointed.
Negatives: Limited parking I found no parking in the lot assigned for guest when I returned to the hotel from dinner.

The hotel is not centrally located, and in a somewhat deserted/dilapidated part of Boston. We would not be walking around at night in this area.
Positives: Suite was spacious.
Negatives: We booked a king size room but did not get a king size room - had to argue with arrogant staff to get one.

Great value for the money. not directly on the T line but the hotel staff shuttle brings you to it until 10 pm. We will visit again.
Positives: Clean, simple, perfect for the budget traveler.
Negatives: Gym only had three machines.

If you want a fun place to stay with kids in Cambridge, this place was great. The pool and Jacuzzi were very hot and we enjoyed that. The free breakfast was delicious with the added bonus of a waffle maker. The shuttle service was fast and easier than dealing with car parking in the city.
Positives: Fun place to stay in Cambridge at a hotel with shuttle service and a warm pool and Jacuzzi.
Negatives: The desk people could have been more friendly.
