Additional details

We offer lovely, big rooms with queen size beds. Our beds are piled high with feather ticks, cotton sheets, fluffy down comforters, hand crocheted bedspreads, hand made quilts, and soft fluffy pillows. The rooms are all decorated reminiscent of their time, and boast fresh flowers from the flower garden upon your arrival. We provide a goodnight fold down service and homemade cookies with hot tea before bed. If you care to soak in the original claw foot tub with the water heated by the wood stove "Alice" it is there for your pleasure. You will feel like you have stepped back in time to a kinder, gentler place, from the moment you arrive. The front parlor is for the exclusive use of our guests and has stacks of Maine reading along with the local town reports dating back to 1904. There is a small t.v. hidden in the parlor closet for our guests that can not survive with out a quick check of what's happening in the real world. The smell of bacon, fresh ground coffee, muffins, or banana-pecan pancakes, will make your sensory glands jump with excitement and hunger!!!! A tour of the 17 acres that have a beautiful field, some woods, a small stream, flower gardens, a 110 foot long barn built in 1840 by post and beam, and many other old original buildings will give you a nice walk before breakfast.
