This recently renovated historic Inn has welcomed travelers from all over the world for more than 75 years. Innkeepers Eric and Liz Brodar strive to create a comfortable, relaxed experience for their guests by offering modern amenities, divine meals, and a location filled with many attractions to explore. The former Victorian Greek revival home was first built by local farmer Asa English around 1860. The Englishes began a dairy business after the Civil War, keeping the cattle in the attached barn and renting rooms in the main house. Later, the barn became a carriage house, which was divided into seven rooms. The hayloft inside the old barn was converted into a large suite which is now called the Carriage House Suite. In addition, a small private cottage was added in the rear meadow, which is now the Bungalow. Each owner has left an impression on the Inn throughout the years, working tirelessly to keep it looking pristine through the many rugged Maine winters and salty mists of summer. In 2010, Eric and Liz took ownership of the Inn, and they are proud to continue the trend of caring for this historic bed and breakfast. The area has a variety of activities nearby to fill your daily agenda. The Inn at English Meadows is located within walking distance from the Kennebunkport Village, otherwise known as Dock Square. Kennebunkport has many shops, galleries, restaurants and historic homes. If you want to explore the areas natural beauty, visit the vast ocean beaches and rocky coastline, less than a mile away from the inn. During the evening, choose from a wide variety of dining experiences at Dock Square. No need to worry about finding parking for your dinner reservations The Inn at English Meadows is walking distance from Dock Square restaurants.
