Nana's Place
Boothbay Harbor, Maine
Nana's Place is a bed & breakfast located in Boothbay Harbor.
Hello!
I'm Nana. Welcome to my home on the web. Since the 1700's, My ancestors have been the lighthouse keepers, sea captains, fishermen, boat builders and Inn keepers of the Boothbay Region. In Fact, my grandfather, Benjamin Coolen was owner and Captain on one of the very first tour boats that sailed the Boothbay Harbor Region. With the opening of Nana's Place, I carry on in the tradition of his wife and my "Nana", Ethel Mckown-Coolen, who owned and operated the Cool Inn, here in Boothbay Harbor.
Nearby restaurants include Thistle Inn Restaurant, Brady’s, Ports Pizzeria, and Mama D’s Café.

Additional details
This seaside home was built in 1829 by John Wright Weymouth, who also built the Weymouth House, and the Congregational Church, here in Boothbay Harbor.
Now a quaint 2 bedroom B & B, Nana's offers hospitality and all the comforts of home, while you are away from home. Nana's Place caters to the senior set, but welcomes guests of all ages.
When you are ready to start your day, come down for juice and coffee, on the sun porch, screen porch, or deck while I prepare your breakfast in my "galley". When you are ready to head into town, leave your car here, and stroll into the hub of the Village where you can explore the local art galleries, specialty shops, and other area points of interest. Book a boat trip around the harbor or walk the footbridge across the cove and acquaint yourself with this beautiful Maine harbor town. Come back to Nana's and rest before heading back out to one of the local restaurants for a sumptuous Maine lobster dinner, and then it is off to see a performance at one of the local playhouses.
