The hotel was great. Don't eat there. In the room at least.

Positives: Walking distance to every thing on bourbon.

Negatives: We had room service for breakfast the food was not very good and was expensive.

Loved the hotel, it was in a perfect location for everything I wanted to do, plus, my family and first cousins all felt the same as I did. Would definitely stay there again.

Positives: Perfect location in the French Quarters and the price was right!

Negatives: Absolutely nothing.

Overall, the hotel was lovely and the staff was pleasant and competent. The girl at the desk did not have her act together when I checked-in, (gave me an unclean room, didn't activate the keys to the 2nd room, didn't bother to check whether I got any upgrades or freebies from my Rewards Club and had to ask another check-in person later). Otherwise, the bar and restaurant staff were pleasant and the concierge was helpful too.

Positives: The bourbon milk punch was delicious.

Negatives: some many pillows that gave me huge neck pain, check-in desk was not too helpful, (gave unclean room, didn't activate key to 2nd room).

I came down from Lafayette to spend time with fellow friends whom flew down from Cleveland to watch the Browns play the Saints. A room was reserved at this lavish establishment. On arrive everything seemed up to par. But what happened on our arrival back to the hotel late that same night was appalling to say the least. First let me start out by saying... I myself am a 32yr old Dental Hygienist. My friend who walked in the facility with me is a 32yr old High school Principal. We walked past the front desk were we were approached by the hotel manager. Than he proceeded to tell my male friend to get rid of me or he couldn't go up to the room. Confused we said what! The manager replies loudly we don't allow people like her in this hotel. HUH! I heard a woman behind me say, she must be a street walker. My male friend politely said, sir she's a dental hygienist <BR>and I'm a high school principle. Manager proceeds to giggle in my face and roll his eyes. After giving us a pop quiz on how we knew each other, asking him what my full name was, grilling us under a spot light and bringing me almost to tears in front of a lobby full of waiting party's he finally said just go and smiles. I will never or ever recommend this hotel in the French Quarter to anyone one I love, care about, not even a perfect stranger.

Positives: Beautiful hotel.

Negatives: Horrible experience with the hotels management

The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel honored our request for two beds per room and allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra costs. The double rooms are spacious and beds provide firm back support. I would stay at this hotel again in the future.

Positives: This hotel honored our request for two beds per room and allowed early check-in and late check-out at no extra costs.

Negatives: This hotel charges for Internet connection. Bathrooms have no vents.

Location was great. Lobby was nice. Room could have been nicer/cleaner.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Small TV and bathroom could have been cleaner.

Will definitely return.

Negatives: Parking can be a problem.

I was surprised by how much was lacking for a 3-star. It catered to large groups more than it did to individual travelers. I complained about noise and was given ear plugs. This seems careless to me. The alarm went off at 7 am our first morning; they should have made sure it wasn't set before we came in. They forgot to replace toilet paper after cleaning the house. We had to call several times. They said there was a whirl pool. They're wasn't. They said there was pool-side room service. There sort of was, but they were unable to tell us what they would actually bring to us. Nothing, it turns out. Overall, if this is a 3-star, I'm incredibly disappointed?

Positives: The beds were nice.

Negatives: No robe, lots of noise, bad view, no toilet paper!

Overall, an excellent experience at the Astor Crowne Plaza. The only complaint is with the concierge. We asked her to get transportation to the airport for an early morning flight (we had to leave the hotel by 5 am). She said that she would call right then and gave us the name/number of the man. The morning of our departure, no one showed up. We called the man and he said that he was never contacted by the concierge. He was able to send someone else and we made it to the airport on time. However, had we been in a rush, there may not have been time to make it to the airport. Other than that, absolutely no complaints!

Positives: Great location, bar, and lovely room!

Negatives: A little noisy on the Bourbon street side.

I see that there have been a lot of comments about the parking at the Astor. I agree it is pretty bad. We luckily discovered that there is a garage in the French Quarter right behind the Astor that provides secure overnight parking. Not only is it way more convenient then waiting for the Astor's Valet Service it is half the price. The garage is run by Premium Parking Service.

Positives: Great location. In the heart of it all.

Negatives: Parking stinks. Park at the garage behind it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Crown Hotel on Canal Street. Next time I want to try the famous Brennan's Restaurant that was downstairs.

Positives: Luxury Hotel that was a convenient. location.

Negatives: Sound level outside was a little loud, but they provided CD of soothing sounds and ear plugs to sound out the noise.

I would not recommend this hotel. It was dirty and the area is really scary. It's very near a liquor store and a Mc Donalds where many homeless people hang out. Also, the high speed internet didn't work in the room without having to spend 10 minutes on the phone with hotel IT people.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: There was hair in the shower and dust on everything. Not clean at all.

Valet parking is important to me when going to New Orleans. The Astor takes 45 minutes to an hour to get your car. That would be okay if you could call ahead, but you cannot. I expect more out of a 3 star hotel. Also, check in at the hotel is a horrible experience. This is not a good start of the trip. You have to double park on Canal Street (busy street) to get in. This took almost an hour.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Valet parking was horrible.

This facility has sprung back after the hurricane very nicely. The lobby was gorgeous and the ambience was soothing. The staff could work on customer service skills. But I would recommend the hotel.

Positives: The hotel is beautiful. Rooms were great yet small. I will stay there again.

Negatives: The staff lacked good customer service. But considering it was New Orleans, it was okay.

This hotel is great for a stay in New Orleans. The room was small but romantic. There were a few stains and the furniture was older, but the lobby and public facilities were extremely clean. The service was also amazing, everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We had a great time.

Positives: It was very romantic. Reminded me of a French boutique hotel.

Negatives: Our hotel room curtains were soiled and some of the rugs had stains.

Over all happy with the stay, they kind of have you on valet parking, as I would not recommend parking in an unsecured location. But they have monopolized this and charge an arm and a leg. Pool is small but nice.

Positives: Location, great spot at the corner of Canal and Bourbon St.

Negatives: Valet parking over priced.
