I visit New Orleans often. This trip was a spontaneous idea to take our children to the aquarium and zoo so I booked a hotel with a less expensive rate. I was more than pleased with the hotel. The staff was so friendly. The bellman even rode my children up to the room on the luggage cart! The hotel common areas were very clean and the room was spotless. (No musty smell like most old buildings.) We had breakfast in the restaurant. The food was decent although it was pricey (but this is New Orleans). But, the wait staff was great. I have to say this was one of my favorite trips. I'm planning a girls weekend in June and I will book this hotel again.
Positives: The staff was very friendly. They more than exceeded my expectations. The location was wonderful. Everything was within walking distance.
Negatives: The beds were hard but for the rate we paid, I can't complain. We didn't spend much time in the room anyway.

I go to NOLA frequently and this will always be my hotel of choice going forward. Tremendous bang for the buck!
Positives: Loved the room and the staff. The room was much nicer than the Royal Sonesta where I stayed last year.
Negatives: Bombay Club which is a restaurant on property, but not affiliated with Hotel. Staff was rude, food awful and overpriced.

It's a great location. Parking was charged $28/ day. Great location.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Bed was uncomfortable.

First room we got was Smokey, they changed us to another room. The second one was very nice. Very high ceilings, nice bathroom. Beds were comfortable. I have very bad acid reflux and use extra pillows to prop up the bed. They had extra pillows in the room. I never got to the desk to ask for more. Room we were in was RIGHT next to the elevator. Was some noise but with ear plugs slept pretty well. Internet access was good most of the time, but the wireless went down a few times late at night. Just checked it later and it was back on.
Positives: Half a block off bourbon, bars and restaurants nearby.
Negatives: Wish we could have stayed longer.

The service was great, everyone was very friendly and informative, the bed was comfortable and it was very close to bourbon and not far from jackson square which was very convenient.
Positives: Set the mood for a romantic getaway.
Negatives: Nothing.

Beautiful old New Orleans feel to this hotel. The person at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Very clean I would most definitely recommend this to friends or anyone else looking to stay here.
Positives: Location right near Bourbon St in french Q, very clean, spacious rooms.
Negatives: No pool which didn't matter to us. The view from our room was at a brick wall.

Fits right in with the French Quarter of New Orleans, and handles the chaos of Mardi Gras better than any other hotel in the area.
Positives: Old school, comfortable
Negatives: Not enough convenient electric outlets.

The hotel was in a great location. The staff was kind, courteous, and informative of area attractions. Because we had a discounted room, the room did not have windows, which was very uncomfortable. The lobby was very small. Therefore, my husband and I had to go out of the hotel to sit and talk. That was a major drawback for us. We heard the staff tell another guest that the hotel was full so we were not able to request another room.
Positives: Front Desk Staff, continental breakfast.
Negatives: Very small lobby. No place to sit privately.

This hotel was prime location to Bourbon Street. It was 20 steps away from the action of the center of Bourbon Street and since it was on the street that intersects Bourbon, you couldn't hear the noise late night. I felt very safe always.
Positives: Even though we had the do not disturb sign on the door, they still hung a bag of toiletries and towels up on the door. Knowledgeable recommendations.
Negatives: No HBO.

The only thing I liked about the Prince Conti was the convenient location near Bourbon Street. The bed was uncomfortable with old springs that made noise anytime I moved trying to get comfortable. The TV was old and smallest I've seen at any hotel. The room and linens smelled like an ashtray. I mentioned it to the front desk and they sprayed the carpet with Febreeze. The free breakfast was coffee; apples, oranges, and store bought jelly-filled pastries. Parking is $28/day. Paper-thin walls. I could hear a woman on her cell in the next room at blabbing at 3am.
Positives: Very convenient location.
Negatives: $28/day parking, uncomfortable bed, linens and room smelled like an ashtray.

Overall, this is a pretty nice hotel. It is in more of the party part of the French Quarter. The patio and pool area are really cozy and sweet.
Positives: I like that I was in walking distance to everything in the French Quarter.
Negatives: Room with a nasty view.

The Prince Conti is very much recommended if you are looking for a moderately priced hotel in the French Quarter. It is close to just about everything. It's quiet despite being a block off of Bourbon Street. It is well appointed. The rooms are clean. And it is a non-smoking hotel, which I appreciate a lot.
Positives: Location was great. Liked the Bombay Bar, too that is attached to the hotel.
Negatives: Check in front desk clerk wasn't very friendly and asked inappropriate questions.

This is the best hotel I have found in the French Quarter for the money, location, & quality. They even had the same friendly desk clerk as when I was there two years ago!
Positives: Location - 20 Steps to Bourbon Street!
Negatives: Entire French Quarter has expensive parking.

This hotel was close to all the tings we like to do while in New Orleans, it was quiet clean and charming we have stayed here before and plan to next time we visit.
Positives: We loved the location, it was less than a block from Bourbon street and close to all the shopping and dining.
Negatives: The restaurant was closed for remodeling.

We had a wonderful time while staying at the Prince Continental. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms we thought were just beautiful. We saw 2 of them and they were both beautiful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and if we return to New Orleans will stay they again.
Positives: I was very impressed with the beauty of the rooms. It met every need we had for our honeymoon. Friendly staff and great location.
Negatives: No smoking rooms.

The staff at this hotel were not very accommodating almost from the moment my spouse and I arrived, from the terse night manager to the bellman who watched me unpack my own car. The room had a stale smell in it, the sink was cracked, the shelf over the sink was so crooked that my toothbrush rolled off of it. Solely due to the fact that we were weary from driving 5 hours earlier that day did I even spend one night there; I immediately sought other accommodations the following morning when I awoke. I definitely would recommend not staying at the Prince Conti.
Positives: The hotel was in a great location.
Negatives: The staff was unfriendly, the accommodations were mediocre at best.

Hotel was a great location however with that came noise from Bourbon St. and the garbage trucks that run every morning at 5 am. Perhaps an interior courtyard room would be better. Room was comfortable and hotel was above expectations.
Positives: Location in quarter.
Negatives: Noise level.

The sleep area was very large and the bathroom was large. The decor was nice. Very close to Bourbon St. We enjoyed our stay.
Positives: It was clean, each room was very roomy.
Negatives: Lobby very small, but fine. Shower too dark when curtain closed.

We called ahead to see if we could check in early, and they said we could at 1:00. We got there a little earlier than that and they had our room ready. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and fast. As we walked to our room I was a little worried because the halls and carpet looked dingy. But when we walked into our room, it was very nice.
Positives: Friendly staff, got our room ready for early check in, room was great.
Negatives: Carpet in hallway looked dirty.
