Room wasn't bad, way smaller than expected, but comfortable. Bed slept well, but wasn't attached to the headboard anymore. Jacuzzi tub was a joke. Nothing more than a normal size bathtub with some jets. Service was good. Lobby entrance was scary. Parking was available but in a non-secure non-reserved lot, park at your own risk. Didn't have any issues but the smelly alley behind the pub, all this at $28/day. Wasn't very impressed to say the least. Will try St Marie next time. Wireless somewhat available from about 8 different sources, none of which were very strong or dependable. And I never found a movie channel. no HBO, SHO, etc.
Positives: Marble in the bathroom was nice!
Negatives: Ceiling sheetrock had holes in it - needs repair.

This hotel is very deceptive. Everything you see on the negative is true.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: The deception.

My daughter made this reservation for me, along with a reservation for herself and her husband. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that there were no parking facilities available and that there was also no elevator. I am partially disabled, and had to really struggle to carry up a bunch of luggage and cases to a second level room. We were told to find a parking space "on the street" that ran next to the hotel - which we did. After being towed the first night, we found a public parking lot that was eight blocks away. We had to park there and walk to get our cars each day.
Positives: Very little.
Negatives: No parking and no elevator - this was not indicated in your description of the hotel - if it had been we would have never booked.

We didn't get maid service. The room was very small. The hotel doesn't provide parking. The hotel staff recommended a place for us to park and we got a ticket. Another member from our group got his car towed! I do not recommend this hotel.
Positives: The air conditioning worked really well.
Negatives: No parking!

This hotel is not for people traveling with their family and I rate this hotel a 2.
Positives: I did not like this hotel at all.
Negatives: This hotel does not have elevators and my room was on the top floor and I had two weeks of luggage.

I paid extra for a marble shower and got a regular tub in the bathroom. I want a refund immediately for the extra amount I paid. The manger of the hotel royal, Rochelle harries, can be contacted to substantiate my claim.
Positives: Good bed.
Negatives: Room smelled like food (kitchen was under the room).

I enjoyed the location of Hotel Royal to Bourbon Street. It was close enough but still far enough away to not hear all the noises. The bed was comfortable, the balcony was nice, and the bathroom was beautiful!
Positives: I loved the marble bathroom with the sliding glass door.
Negatives: There wasn't a lot of space. The bed was too close to the wall that used to be a fireplace.
