Overall my stay at this hotel was great. The staff didn't greet me like I'm use to in other nice hotels but they were not rude either. My older children and I enjoyed the pool area. The pool was small but the location made it all worth it.
Positives: I like the pool on the roof. The view was nice.
Negatives: The elevators were slow and really messed up. The room card to activate them did not always work.

The location of this hotel is terrific! We walked to the aquarium, Cafe Du Monde, all over really. Hotel was clean and beds are comfortable. Staff and service are the best - as good as any five star! The pool is on the roof which is nice, but it needs updating. I would definitely stay there again.
Positives: The staff was EXCELLENT! Loved the location and view as well.
Negatives: I was traveling with a child and the elevator situation seemed unsafe. Pool needs updating.

Overall, a great hotel. Clean and modern. Staff was helpful. Room was clean and had good amenities. Also had a very convenient location, with good proximity to the French Quarter and other nearby destinations. Would definitely stay at this hotel for the price again.
Positives: Clean, good location, attractive common areas, nice design, helpful staff...overall a very good experience..
Negatives: Expensive parking. Also, had to ride an elevator to the 11th floor, get off, and walk to another elevator to our floor.

Hotel was nice, but we had multiple problems with our room. Toilet was cracked, not fixed even though we asked about it. Pipes were howling and noisy - we had a little baby that kept waking up due to noise of pipes. We asked for a free night sometime in the future due to our inconvenience and was told no.
Positives: Staff was friendly.
Negatives: Hotel had problems, so we left a day early.

The hotel was very convenient and a great location for the activities that we do while in New Orleans. The only things that I was not happy about was the amount of pets that were in the hotel. I did not see any on my floor, but had to share elevators with at least one dog every time I used the elevator.
Positives: Location, friendly staff, and very accommodating.
Negatives: The amount of pets in the hotel.

Great access to the French Quarter, the aquarium, and the Riverwalk. You can walk out the front entrance and walk or jog on the sidewalk they call the moon walk which is right on the river. You can grab a trolley in two minutes. The room was large with a nice bathroom.
Positives: The view was awesome.
Negatives: Found a Doritos chip behind the curtain.

My husband and I really hit the jackpot with this experience. The Westin in our opinion is conveniently located. It was right across from the Casino, the aquarium and Riverwalk were right behind it. It is located in an interesting part of the quarter with some of the most interesting jazz/blues places on nearby Decatur. It is in the Quarter, yet blissfully away from the hustle and bustle of it. The 11th floor lobby is extremely inviting with its comfortable coaches and ottomans and soothing music. Guests felt right at home putting their feet up and sipping their favorite beverage while watching through floor to ceiling windows, ferry boats and dinner cruises sail by on the Mississippi. We got the riverfront view we requested. The room was really large and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable it made sleep blissful. Oh yes, the hotel is located in Canal Place Mall, where there are some great shops such as Saks, so there is something to do even when it is raining and one does not want to go outside. I noticed that some folk even walked the circular mall - which is lovely - for exercise! This was one of my best stays ever in New Orleans. If I can work it out, the Westin is definitely where I want to stay the next time.
Positives: The lobby has one of the most comfortable, scenic, soothing atmospheres of any I have stayed at.
Negatives: Everything was go great that this is minor, but an obvious oversight to us. Our room did not have towel racks, which we missed.

The hotel is in a prime location, very clean. Flat screen TV's. Was great I would stay there again for sure!
Positives: The location was fantastic. The best.
Negatives: There was nothing I didn't like!
