The Best Western St. Christopher is an excellent value hotel for anyone traveling to New Orleans and wishing to experience the French Quarter or a sporting event!

Positives: The price and location were awesome!

Negatives: The room did not have a window.

Very clean and a very friendly staff. The rooms were not ready upon arrival (we arrived at the 11:00am check-in time), so we did get a free upgrade with no hassles. The only problem was the $27 valet/parking fee the we were not expecting. Public/Self parking is little to none.

Positives: Loved the brick walls as opposed to the usual thin hotel walls.

Negatives: The beds are way too soft.

The staff made up for any short comings this hotel may have had. They were friendly, helpful, efficient and always smiling, no matter how busy they were.

Positives: Location was great. Garden District, French Quarter, Harrah's Casino and the Convention Center all close by.

Negatives: Rooms were small, and the common areas could be cleaner.

For a Best Western branch I expected much more from this hotel. It smelled bad from the time I walked into it. The ride in the elevator had the same dank smell to it and the room itself smelled of mildew.

Positives: Nothing at all.

Negatives: Terrible smell, small room, mildew smell in room.

The room was nice & clean and most staff was helpful and friendly. However, TV buttons and special phone buttons (setting alarm, etc) didn't work. Had to request shampoo and soap and it would have been nice to have a 2nd trash can in the bathroom.

Positives: Thought they had a good continental breakfast.

Negatives: First room had a noisy AC, and we had to request shampoo & soap plus TV & phone buttons didn't work.

The hotel was clean and in a great location. However, the hotel staff was horrible. I spent 1.5 hours trying to get into the hotel valet. I called the desk twice to ask if the streets in front of the hotel were blocked and could not get an answer. I had to park 5 blocks away and pay double to park for 1 night. Once I got to the hotel to check in, the guy working the front desk put my credit card and someone else's in the machine at the same time and got them stuck. It took 30 minutes to get my credit card back and about 45 minutes just to register. The next morning I was able to valet my car, but that took another 30 minutes. The people at the desk said the valet would set me up with a ticket, while the valet said it was the responsibility of the people working the desk. I waited in line at the desk 20-30 minutes before flagging down a different valet who was able to get my ticket and park my car in less than 1 minute. They were less than helpful and were in no hurry to help anyone.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and polite. The rooms were clean and the location was great; right at the door of the French Quarter. It was a good price too.

The hotel is clean and pleasant. The decor is simple but inviting. Its location is very convenient; the French Quarter is within easy walking distance. Even someone as clueless with directions as me would have an easy time finding it. Only problem was the extremely thin walls accompanied by an obnoxious, drunken neighbor.

Positives: It really was worth more than we paid for it.

Negatives: The walls are extremely thin.

Overall except for the ants and exposing me to all of New Orleans my stay was comfortable enough. Mainly because of the location. The staff was friendly and paid attention to their customers. Security was good.

Positives: The staff where very friendly and helpful. More so than most hotels I've stayed in.

Negatives: There where small black ants in my bed and on the table. The staff said that they come in from the cold. Also the blinds in the bath would not shut.

Can't handle the strain of made grass. Hopefully their elevators aren't usually out (had to carry own bags up 4 flights) and hopefully their staff can usually clean and be helpful.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Broken elevator booked for a king or 2 queens and had 2 full beds.

Positives: Great location for French quarter. Continental breakfast. Had parking so we didn't have to worry about our car and walk everywhere.

Negatives: Please call them about the water pressure and lights (bulbs were out). We wanted to check out late and they were pushy.
