Staff (with exception of the girl in attendance at night) was usually not nice, not smiling and neither helpful. We had to ask for new soap and shampoo in the bathroom, three days to change a light bulb and constant filthiness in the hallways.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Breakfast was poor on three out of three mornings, we had to ask for bread; the first morning there was no bread at all!

The hotel is in a great location, on St. Charles right on the trolley line and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again!
Positives: I liked the location and staff.

I've stayed in at least 10 hotels in New Orleans over the years, some costing twice as much. I will definitely return here. You don't need a car, the quaint and efficient St. Charles Trolley will pick you up and take you directly to the French Quarter. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and very well run.
Positives: Well located, older hotel that has aged very gracefully.
Negatives: Liked everything.

Good location, great decor in rooms and very clean; I have stayed there several times and will continue to go back. Much better room quality than most Best Westerns.
Positives: Clean and convenient.
Negatives: Desk staff argued with me about broken room lock.

Good place for a business trip. Comfortable beds. Good equipment. Functional fitness center. Right next to the trolley stop. About 2 miles from the downtown. Great to walk at night time. One restaurant ( a bar and grill) is right next doors. Avoid 2nd floor. You will get a variety of fumes and odors as all the exhausts vent out at that level. The higher you are the better you are.

It was clean. Most of the staff was kind and helpful. The room and the location was wonderful for me. The breakfast was excellent. The only thing was the small mouse.

The hotel was great. I didn't realize how far it is from downtown but I enjoyed my stay. The room was nice and staff was very friendly.
