Basic clean budget hotel.
Positives: Clean, inexpensive
Negatives: Can't open the window.

The hotel exceeded it's star level. The staff was friendly and maid service was great. The only drawback was the room had only a shower and did not provide hair dryers and irons.
Positives: The hotel staff was very accommodating to my needs.
Negatives: No hair dryers or irons. This was not a good thing when you are a traveler.

Staff gave awful directions causing a 30 min delay in arrival - late at night. Bathroom had shower only - held together by caulk! -.
Positives: New carpet and bedding.
Negatives: Difficult to find from interstate!

I did not stay at this hotel. This is lower then a -1* hotel. To rate this hotel as a 2* is a joke.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Everything.

The hotel was not the oldest nor the worst hotel I've stayed at, but it was older and could have used some updating and some work. The young man at the desk was exceptionally nice, friendly & helpful, but the hotel was not in the best condition.
Positives: The people were very nice & helpful.
Negatives: Pretty run down, older, needed work.

The hotel is located in a poor part of town and is very old. I contacted the management to inform them that I had chemical sensitivity allergies and dust allergies and to prepare the room. The person on duty took me to 3 rooms and all had a moldy smell and old furniture which made me have serious breathing problems and had to rush from each in fear of a allergic reaction. Also the location was in a bad part of town where I saw suspicious characters walking up and don the street.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Musty smell, located in a very poor part of town, could not breath when I entered the room.

Old part of town, we were uneasy as to the surrounding community, room was not "fresh," was old, window in bathroom had to be propped shut with coat hangers, coffee pot was dirty and old - just not 2 star quality. We rested well, but would not stay here again.
Positives: The manager did well to accommodate our needs.
Negatives: Windows not secure, Cracks in walls, old part of town.

Pleasantly surprised. Travelodge in my experience has typically been old and dirty. The owners did the best they could with an old facility.
Positives: Friendly staff (family run operation).
Negatives: Old building but re-modeled.

Clean and comfortable rooms. The stand up shower was cool with the "trademark Bear". Clean sheets and towels washed with the best detergent made this a very nice stay. I was pleasantly surprised and it was right across from my favorite restaurant, how could this be wrong?
Positives: Surprisingly clean.
Negatives: It was older and the ac unit was where you hang your clothes.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. This was rated two star. The room was clean and neat. Very basic, but we were just staying for the evening and it was satisfactory. The restaurant next door is one of the best in Lafayette so it was great to just walk next door for a wonderful dinner. Ask for a room on the back of the building because the street noise was a little loud for a good nights sleep. They offer a basic breakfast of juice, cereal and pastries. Good coffee! This is an inexpensive hotel that has all the basics. Very clean and would probably stay there again.
Positives: Very nice hotel staff and close to a wonderful restaurant named the Blue Dog.
Negatives: My room was close to office and we experienced a little too much street noise.

Overall it was ok and would be good for someone who was just passing through and wasn't looking for anything special. Unfortunately, I was looking for more than what I received.
Positives: It was easy to find.
Negatives: The star rating it had been too high in my opinion.

Wont stay their again.
Positives: Nice staff and very nice housekeeping staff.
Negatives: Beds were horrible, stains on sheets and mattress and box spring very old.

The staff knew nothing of the area (where to eat, things to see, nothing.), the rooms were nasty and smelled really bad when I left there all my clothes in my suit case smelled like the room. Also the rooms need to be remodeled they look like nothing has been updated since the 1960. The traffic on the road in front of the hotel kept me awake for hours and would wake me up at all hours of the night. I would not ever stay there again and would not recommend anyone else to stay there.
Positives: I can not think of anything god to say and I will never stay there again.
Negatives: Noisy, smelled really bad, and the staff was not helpful.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless I really didn't like them. Maybe they should try washing and changing their linens and removing the cardboard from between the mattresses.
Positives: Not a single thing.
Negatives: The hotel was run down. The mattresses were hard. The linens were not clean and the bathroom was dirty.

Although it was clean, our accommodations were for 2 adults and 1 child and we were placed in a room with 1 double bed. They had no more rooms with 2 beds in it. The second night we stayed, they did provide us with a room with 2 beds.
Positives: They were able to accommodate us on our second night with a room with 2 beds.
Negatives: The beds were not comfortable. There was fighting in the room next to us.

Did not meet a 2-star classification.
Positives: It did have wireless internet from the comfort of your room.
Negatives: The bedspread was dirty and stained; breakfast was barely continental.

Good location. This is a older hotel that needs updating. I think it should be at the one star economy level. I have stayed in nicer hotels.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Old and uncomfortable.
