Center is a community in northern Metcalfe County in the south central region of the US state of Kentucky. It is home to North Metcalfe Elementary which is part of the Metcalfe County School District. It was here that the first Butler Funeral Home was established in the early 1900s. Later Butler's moved to the county seat of Metcalfe County, Edmonton. Places to eat in the region include Roadside BBQ, Lighthouse Restaurant, and Hwy 68 Roadside Cafe.
