Austin is an unincorporated community located in south-central Kentucky. This community was founded around 1895 and is located in Barren County, Kentucky, near Barren River Lake. It used to have a general store in central Austin, but it was torn down as of late 2022. Places to eat in the region include Bud’s Sho-nuf Country Hams & Bar-b-q, and Paradise Point Market Place.
