Poore Farm & Solomon Valley Outfitters LLC is a resort located in Woodston.

The Poore Farm is a working farm established by R.D. Poore in 1905, just south of the Solomon River valley in an area of gently rolling hills. Larry and Barb (BJ) farm with Larry’s parent Alvin and Venda Poore.

Our crops are wheat, milo, and forage sorghum.

This land is also managed for optimum bird production, nature trails, and fantastic photo opportunities. On the farm we produce beef for our own consumption and the feedlot industry. We also raise chicks from day old to the freezer and always have a good supply of farm fresh eggs.

Woodston sits on Highway 24, halfway between Denver, Colorado and Kansas City, Kansas/Missouri. The farm is 6.5 miles south of Woodston, Kansas. The airport at Hays, Kansas is only 36 miles away and has flights arriving several times a day. We would be happy to meet your plane. Interstate 70 is about 33 miles to the south.

We are approximately a 5 hour drive from Kansas City, Kansas/Missouri or Denver, Colorado, and a 2.5 hour drive from Grand Island, Nebraska.
