This home has a long history of service. It was built in the late 1800's, then purchased by the Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church to fulfill their mission for an "old people's home." For many years, it was the Sunshine Home before being moved to its current location, where we Spencers have lived for almost twenty years. We raised our family of eight children here--four birth and four adopted--and many happy memories have been made here.
