Atchison is a city situated along the Missouri River in the eastern part of Atchison County, located in northeast Kansas, in the Central United States. It is the county seat and most populous city of Atchison County. The city is named in honor of David Rice Atchison senator from Missouri, and was the original eastern terminus of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad. Lopez De Mexico ( Dining / Mexican ). Located at 112 South 6th Street. Established in 1995, our small restaurant is located on The Commercial Street Mall in downtown Atchison, Kansas between the Historic West End District and the Riverfront! We offer authentic Mexican dishes in a casual setting much like a courtyard. Our entrances are handicap accessible. We also serve a few American dishes and a children's menu. Reservations are highly recommended for groups of 6 or more especially on the weekends!
