This hotel was overall a decent deal with the priceline discount; otherwise it is overpriced for its location to downtown Chicago. It also seemed like it was under renovation. Some staff members were very unfriendly versus the smiley front desk.
Positives: Liked getting blankets and sheets.
Negatives: took forever to get towels at the pool after asking multiple staff people

Conveniently located to shopping,to 94 expressway. It was peaceful, and the room service was great.
Positives: I was in Chicago because my 1 1/2 year old granddaughter had open heart surgery at Children's Memorial. The hotel was peaceful, convenient to 94 expressway.
Negatives: No reserved parking places for hotel guests.

It was good over all. Location was excellent and parking was free. Good hotel to stay at when visiting Chicago. I only wished they had a shuttle bus to the Metro.
Positives: Good location, price and amenities.
Negatives: They didn't have any shuttle buses to the Metro.

Nice lobby. Pleasant staff. Convenient location.
Positives: Very nice staff. Convenient location with several restaurants close by. About 5 miles from train station. Free parking.
Negatives: Room had dirty walls and in need of some minor repairs. Peeling ceiling finish. Furniture mismatched.

Older room but clean, good room service and front desk service. Room a little cramped, air conditioner was falling down and filthy.
Positives: Convenient location for my purposes.
Negatives: Difficult to enter and exit the parking lot.

Need some work on entrance, lobby clean, internet not working.
Positives: Fridge and microwave in room, neighborhood.
Negatives: Pillows were not too comfortable.

Attractive place where they apparently hold many Indian weddings. (I saw two incredibly beautiful swings for that part of the ceremony.) That said, the bathroom in my non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke and there was a pink mold growing on the grout. This is the second time I've been put in a room with mold in the bathroom in this hotel.
Positives: It's very convenient to the expressway. I like the decor of the public area.
Negatives: 2nd time I've had to stay in a room (at this location) with mold in the bathroom.

Hotel was fairly priced for Chicago. Not the greatest hotel, but for one night stay it was adequate.
Positives: The hotel had a Bar Louis restaurant which was great.
Negatives: Odd layout of the rooms and it seemed two or more hotels were put together making it hard to get around.

I needed to stay as close to Evanston as possible and this is the hotel that took my bid. I honestly didn't think it would be that great, but as soon as we walked in the door I noticed it was nicer than expected. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room was perfect - clean, neat, no problems at all. We wished we'd remembered to bring our swimsuits.
Positives: Given the outer appearance of the hotel, I was surprised at how nice the room was.
Negatives: Outer appearance

Its dirty and stinks inside, the rooms are all over the place. The inside pool makes a stinky mess. The rooms are dirty and the hallways have cobwebs hanging. The room we had stunk from cheap cologne and there was hair in the tub and there was food in the fridge left from someone else!
Positives: I liked nothing, I will never bid on a hotel in Skokie ever again for fear of getting this rat hole!
Negatives: I did not like anything.

The hotel exceeded our expectations based on the accommodations that we have had on previous stays in this area.
Positives: The location and cleanliness of the hotel exceeded hotels in this area for previous stays.
Negatives: Parking lot was not adequate.

This hotel would probably be nice with kids because of the pool (which was closed when I was there). The problem with hotels like this is any room near the pool is loud and not particularly private. It was a nice hotel with function facilities. It was a bit weathered, but clean. The staff was friendly.
Positives: It was close to the freeway and room was nice.
Negatives: Rooms around the pool are loud and not very private.

Very bad, rude staff. Very dirty like environment, loud noises coming from somewhere could not sleep.
Positives: Probably location.
Negatives: Rude staff, loud noises, very dirty looking environment.

This hotel is well-located and has many nice amenities. Having a Bar Louie in the hotel was very convenient. My room was too cold. The bartender at Bar Louie has a very bad attitude and definitely detracted from my experience there. She gets zero points for quality of service.
Positives: I liked the swimming pool and hot tub.
Negatives: I did not like the bartender at Bar Louie, she had a very bad attitude.

Located on a super busy street, near restaurants, this dated hotel has a family friendly pool and a mid scale restaurant in the building. The bed is short. The bathroom has a creep factor to it, but the sink was nice.
Positives: The bed was clean. Separate bath. Big TV. Had single coffee maker.
Negatives: The AC was broken, The drapes would not close. Bath was for seniors.

The hotel is conveniently located and has many shopping/dining options nearby. Our room was very old and needs to be "refreshed". We were on the main level by the indoor pool and it was loud and smelled like pool chemicals.
Positives: Free parking and location.
Negatives: Not clean, old, dated, noisy.

This hotel is ok if you have kids and want to swim in the middle of a lobby. The new restaurant Bar Louie was nice.
Positives: They compensated us with drinks and snacks because of their screw ups.
Negatives: Waitress and overall cleanliness.

Hallways were sweltering hot and air conditioners were leaking onto soaking wet hallway carpeting. Took me 20 minutes to find my room first night because the signage in the facility is inadequate and front desk failed to give directions or tell me I could park much closer to my room.
Positives: Room was very comfortable and clean.
Negatives: Couldn't find a single parking space open in their lot!!

This hotel should be at most rated 2 to 2.5 stars. The rooms were cheap-looking and the entire place had a damp and moldy smell. You are better off at a Motel 6.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Rooms were awful and the soap was one of the worst even for a hotel.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 07 Jun 2010 rated 2 out of 10.
For a hotel that was not a motel, the air conditioner was under the window that went into the hallway. What made this terrible was that the air conditioner was extremely noisy.
Positives: Location was 4.5 miles from where I was visiting.
Negatives: Air conditioning & internet access.

A good convenient place to the interstate, easy to get to, good places to eat in the area. Good location. The pool and hot tub was closed at 9:00 pm which is really early for a business and/ or tourist.
Positives: Convenient, really clean and friendly.
Negatives: At night the staff was really loud and the walls were really thin.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 13 Apr 2010 rated 3 out of 10.
A convention was at the hotel. Very little hotel parking left when I arrived at 9 PM. Party in the next room (thin walls) and people boisterous in halls after midnight. I offered to move to another room, but they sent security instead, to no avail. A tired old hotel that has no business with the words North Shore in its name. Ants in the bathroom.

The motel was remodelled since we last visited 3 years ago. Some improvements. Previous 2.5 stars and current 3 stars are both overrated.
Positives: Recent remodeled rooms in the 4 story side.
Negatives: Extremely noisy heater unit. Cheap bedding.

A pleasant enough place.
Positives: Staff was great.
Negatives: Thermostat was broken, radiator made noise.

Friendly, nice, little unorganized - had to call 2 times for a crib. No cover-up sheet or blanket for the crib that finally got there after 8. (Had our granddaughter) Pop machine and ice on every floor - I think.
Positives: Newly redecorated room, fridge, microwave.
Negatives: Pet friendly.

This hotel is in the style of the former Holiday Inn Holidomes. The rooms overlooked a central area with a pool and hot tub. The early evening was noisy with swimmers; but, later it was very quiet. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. The room was impeccably clean with very new linens.
Positives: The hotel was clean, attractive and conveniently located.
Negatives: One of the hotel entrances forced us to walk through a lobby display area for a group program.

An excellent facility and I will gladly recommend it. I hope that it becomes my regular spot when I go to see my son.
Positives: They are clearly interested in providing excellent accommodation for its patrons. I appreciate that.
Negatives: Nothing really.

Location was good. It was close to other restaurants and not far from Chicago. The pool closed at 9pm which seemed too early especially when you are out most of the day exploring the city, you have to rush. There are 2 older buildings on site but when asked to be moved to the newer section, we had no problem.
Positives: The restaurant had great rates. The kids eat free was great.
Negatives: We did not like that there was a $3 minimum charge to use the Bus Center. We had trouble with the Internet in the room.

The main part of the hotel could easily be considered a 3-star hotel, the other part is closer to a 2-star.
Positives: We were moved to an updated clean room.
Negatives: First room was dated, uncomfortable, and not very clean.

Do not stay at this hotel. We travel 70% of the year and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I never write a review, but I feel the need to do it this time. We got there and were given a room that was already occupied. Staff tried to be helpful and gave us a second room with carpet rolls near the door ready to be trashed, but still inside the hotel. First night the fire alarm went off at 1 am. Second night, new room carpet soggy from a leaking air conditioner. Staff said it would be fixed the next day, the maintenance guy vacuumed up the water! Next night, same problem. No ventilation, windows did not open, so air began to get moldy. Door to the room was buckled and would not lock, and this was the part of the hotel that was newly renovated! We heard such horror stories from other guests we decided to stay with this room and try and work it out. Third night, we asked for help with the soggy carpet and while we were waiting for maintenance, another guest came to tell us that we were in their room! Then another fire alarm went off at midnight this time. Out of four nights there, we spent two outside the front of the hotel while the firemen went inside to deal with the problem. Finally, as we were checking out, the fellow at the front desk asked us if we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I just laughed! Stay in your car instead.
Positives: The staff was nice. They have a nightmare of a hotel to sell.
Negatives: Horrible renovations, no ventilation, unfinished all around.

Great location, great public spaces, staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and had everything you'd want. I'd still say this is a nice hotel.
Positives: Loved the Indian theme.
Negatives: The room was small.

Beds were comfortable. Appreciated having a mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room. Room was clean, though older building.
Positives: We asked for a quiet room and were provided one.
Negatives: The fan for the air conditioner had an annoying rattle which made it hard to sleep.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 05 Aug 2009 rated 7 out of 10.
Many people running the halls, slamming doors, shouting from 9 pm- 2 am, every night. We were on back hall of hotel.
Positives: Close to freeway, gas and food: free parking.
Negatives: Very noisy at night.
