Everything was as you would expect or better other than the extreme parking price.

Positives: The beds were comfortable and TV's were nice.

Negatives: The parking price seemed like they were taking advantage of the situation.

We liked it a lot; very comfortable room, nice view, beds and furniture in general. The swimming pool was very nice as well, and the staff very kind and helpful. It would have been nicer to have more affordable PPV movies, parking and internet, but I guess that is how it is in a hotel as the Westin.

Positives: Excellent location and very comfortable rooms.

Negatives: Expensive parking, internet connection and very pricey pay per view movies

We both truly liked our experience with this hotel. It was a very beautiful design and had all the little touches like nice bathrooms, flowers everywhere and the location to the blue line was a bonus! It was our anniversary and they were nice enough to follow with some of the specific instructions of delivery flowers and champagne to our room.

Positives: The little things. Orchids throughout, nice furniture, great design and nice staff.

Negatives: Expensive amenities.

Overall the experience was positive.

Positives: Great hotel.

Negatives: Expensive parking.

The hotel suited are needs perfectly. We needed a decent place to stay for one night and this certainly met our needs. It was as I expected, clean, convenient and with a friendly enough staff. There wasn't anything outstanding to talk about, but it was just fine and for the price we paid on Priceline I have no complaints!

Positives: The room was clean, quiet and served our needs.

Negatives: Somethings were unclear (like how to pay for parking), and when we arrived the trash can outside was overflowing with garbage.

The hotel is in a wonderful area, lots of restaurants around, beautiful waterfall right down the street. Dining options, nice gift shop, great pool and hot tub. Spa features are available. (Massage, etc.) The linens were beautiful, soft and comfortable. Great TV, bathroom, etc. The only (and I mean only) complaint I have is that we had to pay an additional fee to park our two cars and didn't know about this until we arrived.

Positives: Beautiful hotel, luxury linens, great pool, great gift shop. Great restaurants, although we did not dine there.

Negatives: I did not like being charged $25 per car parking fee. We had no idea this charge would be extra.

We came during a blizzard in Chicago. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Positives: Very modern.

Negatives: Not a lot of parking.

The rooms really need to be updated. They do not have a working fridge in the room. There is a refrigerator but it no longer works. Furniture is dated and beat up. The room was not thoroughly cleaned before our arrival.

Positives: Location was good. Lobby and restaurant were clean and nice.

Negatives: Room was battered. Large chips out of the furniture. Room smelled like stale water (old towels).Someone wrote message on mirror about cuming on pillow

My husband and I stayed here for three nights during a convention, and we were not very happy with the value. It's great for a business traveler or someone with an all-expense paid trip, but not for anyone on a budget. No fridge. No internet. There was a coffee pot but I was afraid to use it for fear that they would charge me $7.00 for making a pot like they would in the restaurant. Parking was extra ($15 per day for the convention, normally $25!!) The food/beverages available in the hotel were obscenely expensive, $5.50 for a glass of milk!

I would rather stay at a Holiday Inn, where I feel like I get more for my money.

Positives: Concierge was friendly, good location, $5 gift card for declining housekeeping.

Negatives: Service from cafe staff, huge food prices, no included internet/parking/breakfast.

Very good hotel! The location was perfect for our needs. $65 for pancakes, orange juice and coffee for two was a real turn off.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Restaurant too expensive. Example $5 for a cup of coffee.

Positives: Great location, nice hotel.

Negatives: Parking charge seemed excessive.

Great place, the pool and gym were fantastic, the bed "heavenly" the shower wonderful, even the towels were wonderful (I have never noticed towels before but these were great). I was sad I didn't have my family with me because the pool was beautiful and empty.
Positives: Everything. Beds, towels, shower! wow all good.

Negatives: I

This is an older, well maintained hotel of high quality. The beds are very comfortable and rooms clean. Guest are offered $5 vouchers to skip housekeeping services (optional) per day, except on check out. Vouchers can be used in the restaurant. Restaurant food is very good but pricey. restaurant staff was excellent and attentive. Hotel staff did their jobs but were not friendly.

Positives: Fitness center is free and contains state of the art new equipment. Restaurant offers healthy choices that taste good.

Negatives: Cold lobby area with huge wasted space; Worn wooden furniture in room.

The hotel was great, but the restaurant service was horrible. It was me and my boyfriend who are younger and they treated us as though we were pests instead of guests. Our food was cold and we watched as they ignored us and left our food on the counter.

Positives: The rooms were great.

Negatives: The service and treatment we got.

Negatives: Liked everything.

This hotel is very conveniently located next to the O'Hare airport. It was a short 5 minute ride. The Lobby looks very nice, but when I got to the room, I was surprised by how worn out it was. There was a huge blotch of something red that had been spilled into the carpet, the curtains are old, etc. The bathroom only had shampoo, conditioner and lotion, so be sure and pack some of your own amenities (shower cap, etc). As I was grumbling to myself about this being a 4 star hotel, I stepped into the shower and was hit with the most amazing stream of hot water coming from double shower heads. Nice. Went to bed, and, the bed was unbelievably comfortable (and I am usually uncomfortable in hotel beds). The shower head and bed were the redeeming factors. Great business hotel. Romantic? No. Went to check out and the 12 oz cup of coffee was $2.40.

Positives: Comfortable bed. Great shower heads.

Negatives: Tired looking rooms, bare bones amenities in bathroom.

Great location near O'Hare airport and Park Ridge. Hotel is upscale, but parking is $25 each night.

Positives: Beds are very comfortable; there are double shower heads in bath!

Negatives: Parking is $25 per night!

Very clean, safe, great location if flying from ORD, comfortable and friendly staff. No free internet in rooms, come on, even McDonald's has free wireless.

Positives: Great location, very clean, comfortable bed and shuttle bus to airport.

Negatives: Parking fees and no free wireless internet in room.

Excellent service, very friendly and went out of their way to serve us. Excellent place to stay.

Positives: Was a great place to stay!

Negatives: Price of parking.

This hotel was really pretty. I enjoyed the majority of the service. The maid service was not all that well desired as they knocked every five minutes in the morning to clean. Even when told not to everytime. When cleaning they did not remove garbage. Outside of that.. All was gorgeous and a well maintained hotel.

Positives: Gorgeous hotel.

Negatives: The starbucks closes at 10am and you must pay $25 a day for parking.

Wonderful and very accommodating for kids. Concierge was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Positives: We came for a wedding and stayed for the cleanliness and privacy.

Negatives: Although we had checkout at 4PM, cleaning crew kept knocking on door and walking right in.

Very clean looking, smelling, everyone encountered was very friendly and informative. Bed was very comfortable and sheets/pillows all were clean. Disappointed in having to call down for robes and slippers, and that the fridge was completely stocked with no room for any of my items. Having to pay $25 per night for parking on hotel premises was very inconvenient and unsatisfactory.

Positives: The concierge was very helpful and kind, she meet our needs and allowed us a perfect late check out to get our selves together.

Negatives: I was disappointed that my room did not had robes and slippers, the pool/workout room was many floors and a long walk away.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 02 Mar 2009 rated 8 out of 10.

Beautiful lobby/public areas. Rooms needed a little updating - carpet/bathrooms. Parking was very expensive. $35/day for valet. $25 for self.

Positives: Good price - they arranged a shuttle to local restaurant because of heavy rain.

Negatives: Bathroom needed updating - old shower, yellowed toilet seat. Expensive on-site parking.

The hotel is located very close to Chicago O'Hare but insulated so you do not hear airport noise. Very comfortable room and an especially helpful staff. One negative is you have to pay to park your car because of proximity to the airport.

Positives: Exceptional room.

Negatives: Landlocked with limited restaurant option.

The Westin O'Hare is an impressive looking building, but for the price, I do not feel that it was worthwhile. The room was not the cleanest I have ever stayed in (torn carpeting, hair on the bathroom floor). Had to pay for parking. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Positives: Overall, decor was nice.

Negatives: Room could have been better cared for.

From the moment I walked through the sliding glass door entrance, I was greeted by passer-by staff with a warm smile and a "hello, how are you" no less than 4 times, and I hadn't even made it to the check-in counter yet. Top-notch customer service aimed at pleasing you and making you happy with your stay. Beautiful lobby, classy interior and well-appointed rooms. Of course, the bed was world class, as it almost absorbs your body and transports you to a whole other world. Will stay again for sure!

Positives: Classy room and environment with nice staff and excellent customer service.

Negatives: Location of hotel was isolated.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It has everything that I was looking for. We took my parents who are in their 80's to their first Cub game in Chicago and they have been life long Cub fans.

Positives: The whole trip was excellent. It could not have gone better.

Negatives: There is nothing that I can complain about.

It's really more 3.5 stars, not quite up to a 4 star. But it was clean with a large room.
