This hotel is wonderful. There is a resort quality that make you feel relaxed and pampered. The Westin reputation is enhanced by this property. The rooms are large and the appointments are top shelf!
Positives: Great location and the rooms are comfortable.
Negatives: The room was not up to par... the carpet was stained and looked dirty..

Very nice hotel, clean and modern, stayed 2 days, did not refill shampoo or cream for coffee on the second day. Not sure if that's policy or an oversight. The public area is in the center of all rooms which when a lot of people in area, the noise is heard in the rooms.
Positives: Clean, great beds.
Negatives: The public area can be loud and the way the hotel is set up you can hear it in your room.

Book a different hotel: This hotel is far from Chicago - 35 minutes driving west of O'Hare and more than an hour to the city (an hour and a half to drive to the nearest Park & Drive train station and take the L downtown. More than an hour and 10 min with Metra to Union Station and a sporadic train schedule). There are no reasonable dining options within a walking or even a 15 min. driving range so you are stuck with the restaurant. We checked in late and ordered a 6 pizza and a burger - $51.00 plus tax! Internet and WiFi are not free. The hotel charges $9.99 per connection. Business center costs money. Fitness center costs money. The pool does not allow you to take towels from the pool, and the water is very cold. The hot-tub is very hot (they even have a sign warning not to put small children due to the high temperature. Breakfast is not complimentary. They do not have a refrigerator in the room. Shuttles costs money. You get a Starbucks coffee, but an extra bag costs money. Minibar is locked. Half the rooms are a football field distance from the elevators. The rooms are comfortable, but the TV is too small and the cordless phone was not charged - quite a headache for the wake-up call. Parking is free, but quite a walk and is very nasty in rain and cold weather. With so many other options this hotel is not worth it - stay somewhere else for a better price at a better location with basic services included and you would not feel that you were nickel and dimed, and you will be close to actual sites/trains/dining options. For business people with large expense accounts only!
Positives: Nice atrium - cool elevators.
Negatives: Terrible value - Awful location - $9.99 internet - Outrageous food prices.

Nice room - very big. Nice linens. Small bathroom. Shower average, nice showerhead but nothing to write home about. Very comfortable hotel but pricey eating facilities in the evening. Be prepared to dress up or not get service.
Positives: This hotel had a very comfortable bed.
Negatives: Staff was not very friendly. Staff in the bar was extremely rude and didn't want to wait on us.

I would say it was great price on Priceline. Good location, nice room. Bathrooms kinda off, steam affecting ceiling above shower, and cold water didn't work, which normally isn't a problem, but brushing teeth in hot water is a concern.
Positives: Loved the bed and showers, the open lobby, all the way up reminded me of Disney.
Negatives: It seemed dead.

We were fortunate to be offered a suite due to several events occurring at the Westin. The front desk was generous in providing an upgrade so that we would not be in an area of the hotel that might be filled with large guest parties.
Positives: Best hotel we have stayed in.
Negatives: I have nothing but good things to say of the Westin!

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were comfortable. It's excellent for business travelers but wasn't ideal for small children. There isn't a casual restaurant with a family feel. The pool area wasn't very busy which was nice, but a few times business people came in and took up swimming lanes, and the rules didn't allow horse play, but we ignored that :).
Positives: The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very nice.
Negatives: I brought three small children and this hotel is geared towards business travelers (fancy and expensive restaurant, no horse play role in pool).

Very clean and up to date. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They supplied any requests that we had almost immediately. Starbucks coffee in room and TAZO tea. Comfy robes and a clean environment in the room. Conveniently located to Chicago suburb attractions. A wonderful jogging trail around lakes with fountains behind building.
Positives: The staff went above and beyond to fulfill our requests and make for a pleasant stay.
Negatives: The location was a bit off of the beaten path, but in a great area.

Upgraded us to a junior suite which only offered an extra window from a regular room. Hotel met all expectations of a 4 star hotel. Clean, quiet, comfortable, good linens.
Positives: Two headed shower.
Negatives: Junior suite had lots of wasted space.

This hotel is beautiful, comfortable & the staff was always helpful. I would definitely stay in a Westin hotel anywhere in the world because of my visit here in Chicago.
Positives: Loved the double shower heads & hotel robe room service was excellent.
Negatives: I did not like them putting a $50.00 hold on my credit card without telling me.

It was nice, the lobby was exquisite, but the rooms lacked luster compared to the lobby. Would have liked it to be a bit more romantic.

Negatives: The bed wasn't as plush as I'd hoped.

Room was nice. Liked the pool & Hot Tub (former Hamilton Health Club). Great running trails for entire corporate complex. Easy on and off highway. Didn't try the brunch, but it used to be good under prior management.
Positives: Nice pool and running area outside.
Negatives: Lobby music can be heard in rooms.
