If we return to Evanston, we'll probably go back to this hotel even with bad air conditioning and parking cost. We did not find good restaurants in the area.
Positives: Extremely comfortable beds - would like to know what kind of mattresses they use.
Negatives: Air conditioning is loud and irritating. We did not know of the cost of parking.

This hotel was fair for the price. Nothing better or worse than expected. The mini-mart that was open 24 hours, was actually a closet that was converted into a cooler. The view, was of a parking lot, you couldn't get the room dark because the shades didn't close all the way. If you use a Visa debit for your deposit card, you don't get refunded for 3 days which I thought was pretty inconvenient.
Positives: The bed was really comfortable.
Negatives: The markup on beer and wine was ridiculous.

I stayed at the Hilton garden inn Evanston the most helpful thing was that they have people that speak 2 or 3 languages (Russian, Spanish, and French. This is very convent if English is not your first language...
Positives: Great rooms, very helpful staff.
Negatives: Breakfast ends at 10:30 am.
