I would definitely stay at W Hotel again. The rooms had everything I needed and beautifully decorated. Although the room was small, it was well designed and very functional. The bathroom was tiny.
Positives: A beautiful & fun lobby.
Negatives: Could not control the heat.

Great for business travel, but not for the leisure traveler. Wrong side of the loop. The rooms are fairly small, but well equipped for the business traveler.
Positives: The hotel was quite trendy and nicely presented.
Negatives: The room was quite small and the bathroom was even smaller.

The lobby was pretty but I was left to wander around until I finally found the check-in desk in a back corner. While sitting in the lobby we never even got a glance from a cocktail waitress & had to get our drinks from the tiny bar. The bartenders weren't friendly. Employees all seemed stressed out, now that I think of it. That makes for an uncomfortable vibe. We didn't even want to try the restaurant.
Positives: The lobby living room was pretty.
Negatives: Elevator lighting & art! Horrible. Gave me vertigo!

Nice lobby, friendly staff. Room was VERY small and poorly designed. Bathroom was about the size of an airplane bathroom (with a tub/shower).
Positives: Great location, nice lobby.
Negatives: Tiny room and bathroom. Bathrooms are bigger.

Expect to pay $70 to upgrade to a room with double beds upon check-in. However, you can request a cot for no charge. The rooms are incredibly small for the price, and with the addition of a cot, you'll be tripping over yourself.
Positives: Exciting atmosphere.
Negatives: Small rooms.

This hotel is not for those traveling with family. It was like walking into a nightclub with my two small children. I was put in was barely big enough for one person. Then the second room I was put in looked like a college dorm room and there was a loud party next door and we were moved again. Overall I was not impressed with this hotel at all and would not recommend staying there.
Positives: I wasn't impressed with this hotel at all.
Negatives: It is not a family hotel at all. It was like a nightclub when we walked in.

Took my wife out for our 5 year anniversary and had a great time at the W. Everyone was very nice and the room was great. Wish we had a better view but couldn't ask for more on the price we got through Priceline at a 4 star hotel that was Amazing.
Positives: Upscale but tastefully done.
Negatives: No pool or spa on site.

Great, beautiful hotel for my husband and I. Romantic but a little cramped. People were very friendly but even on a Sat. morning they stopped the lobby coffee at 10 AM - and there's no coffee in the room so that was unexpected and unpleasant but all in all we had a nice stay.
Positives: Beautiful rooms, sleek lobby, helpful concierge
Negatives: Teeny tiny bathroom, small room, hard to move in lobby

A lovely, comfortable hotel in a better location than it looks at first. Walking distance to major shopping and attractions. Room size was generous, and rooms very comfortably and beautifully appointed. The overall attitude of the staff generates a desire to please. However, the person taking room service orders was not on the ball. It makes a huge impact on your perception of the overall hotel when you spend outrageous amounts on a small room service request, and they get it wrong. In general, I would recommend the hotel to friends and family visiting Chicago.
Positives: Room size and decor fantastic! Overall hotel ambience very nice.
Negatives: Room service expensive and made more than one mistake.

Hotel was very nice, it appears that it was an old hotel but they have really tried to update it. View from room not at all appealing faced office building.
Positives: Lobby was very beautiful. Staff was very nice.
Negatives: Closet was in the bathroom (sink area) and difficult to get at, need to close bathroom door to open closet door, awkward set up.

While stylish, the rooms were quite small by American standards. The full bed, which we were told would be a queen, was not overly comfortable for two people. The nonstop electronical music in the lobby was okay at night but a bit much in the morning. Some of the public areas were too dimly lit for safety. The hotel is, perhaps, a bit too hip for my tastes, but that's what they strive to be. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Positives: The room was stylish and relatively quiet.
Negatives: The room was very small and the public spaces (hallways and lobby) were not lighted adequately.

It was great value for the money. We were easily within walking distance of the Sears Tower (4 min), Theatre District (8 min), Millennium Park, Waterfront, and the Magnificent Mile (10 min).
Positives: Upscale, safe and conveniently located in the Theatre District.
Negatives: Hallways were a little dark.

Very clean, modern hotel. Rooms were nice, but small. Everything else cost extra.
Positives: Nice location, very modern.
Negatives: Small room, must pay for internet, expensive overnight parking.

The worst hotel experience I've ever had. Arrived with my wife and daughter at 3 PM sharp only to find many of my fellow wedding guests had been waiting for hours for their rooms. Then the W's crack welcome desk clerk, informed me that room belonged to another guest. Ok, fine - I guess I made the whole thing up! Anyway, the clerk managed to find us a room, (after an hour) which we found had 1 double bed, although I had asked for two beds. As it was too late to go anywhere else and make the wedding my daughter slept on the floor. I did ask another clerk if we could at least have a couple of extra pillows and blankets. We were still waiting on them next morning! By the way, the concierge/ parking service employees were friendly and super efficient. In my opinion the head car guy should be running the hotel. I've had better service and treatment at the Motel 6 outside of Muncie Indiana - if you get my drift!
Positives: Concierge service.
Negatives: Everything else - terrible value/ experience.

Hotel is good. I had no idea hotels in the US still had full size beds.
Positives: Very nice staff.
Negatives: The room was the size of a closet.

An overall nice hotel. It was a little too trendy for our liking, but still a nice place to stay.
Positives: I liked the location and the coziness of the room.
Negatives: I felt like I could not touch things in the room because I thought I might be charge for them. Check in took a long time.

Front desk staff was very friendly. We upgraded to a larger room with a toilet in the corner of the bathroom which was very difficult to get to. Hotel was very clean and quiet.
Positives: Location, cleanliness, staff.
Negatives: Very small rooms, toilet in the corner of bathroom.
