The night manager and swimming area were amazing. However, 2 of the 3 rooms I booked had running toilets. One of the toilets actually blew a hole in the bottom portion of the back part and leaked water all over our bathroom floor and almost ran to the carpet. And this incident happened twice! The maintenance men couldn't fix either toilet the first time around hence us dealing with these inconveniences twice! Then, housekeeping never cleaned up the mess in our bathroom - they just shoved our already used towels around the toilet! And I had to call for another room so we could shower and get ready to check-out that morning instead of the guest service attendant offering that to us-plus it took her 3 times of me calling to actually pick up the phone. Then, when I checked us out of our 3 rooms the same guest service attendant from before didn't even ask us about our stay. So, I politely listed our complaints and several inconveniences, (oh by the way our air did not work in our room on top of everything else). And all she says is well I'm sorry. I don't care if your sorry ma'am, I have never in my life had a stay at a hotel like this. I had to ask for her to go get the manager to offer some kind of reimbursement - and did not get anything – finally had to call the travel company to get the hotel to do anything.

Positives: The swimming area and night manager was accommodating.

Negatives: Extremely poor customer service from the day management and housekeeping.

It is a great place to stay. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful and the pool is nice.

Positives: The room was nicer than I expected, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Negatives: The fire station across the street made for sleep disruption.

Perfect location and amenities for our holiday weekend.

Positives: The staff was exceptionally helpful. The fresh apples made a nice snack for the kids each time we returned to hotel.

Negatives: The breakfast area could have water and other items available during non-breakfast time.

The bed was broken, were supplied with two roll a way beds. Every request was met except for the early check in. We actually got checked in after 3 pm.

Positives: Location.

Over all I really enjoyed my stay. The bed was great I could walk to everything Downtown or even taking a taxi was cheap because everything was close.

Positives: It was close to all attractions in Downtown.

Negatives: Housekeeping waking me up the first morning when I had a do not disturb sign on door.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, the bed comfort level was unbelievable . My husband and I enjoyed the entire visit while staying the there.

The hotel was very nice for the price and location in Chicago. We had a few problems with the pull-out sofa in our suite, but our family still had a fun stay.

Positives: Everyone went out of their way to accommodate you if you needed help.

Negatives: The rooms are not meant for families with more than two children.

The guest rooms and public spaces were clean, comfortable, and attractive. The only downside is that it sits next to a fire station that sends out trucks and ambulances almost all night long. We discovered on checkout that we should ask for an east wing interior room for the quietest stay.

Positives: Very good public spaces.

Negatives: Fire station next door!

A fine moderately priced hotel for business or leisure in downtown Chicago. Close to downtown attractions.

Positives: Clean and convenient location, professional service and friendly staff that was responsive to our needs. Would use this hotel again.

The hotel is conveniently located to all attractions, transportation and eating establishments. The hotel staff is very accommodating and friendly.

I really could not believe the sheer luxury of the pillows and mattress. After running the Chicago Marathon, it was heaven! It was a few blocks from the start/finish but the walk was what I needed. The Italian Restaurant attached to the hotel was simply terrific! I would recommend it to anyone. Chicago is truly "my kind of town" and so is the Hampton Inn.

Positives: Sumptuous pillows and mattress, incredible comfort, great smiling, efficient staff.

Negatives: Loved it all.

Hotel was in a great location very close to a subway stop (red line). Short walk to the Magnificent Mile and reasonably close to Navy Pier. Hotel was clean with nice beds and bedding. Very comfortable. Cannot beat the price- was much nicer than I expected.

Positives: Great location for very reasonable rate.

Negatives: Cleaning staff would enter room in spite of "Do Not Disturb" sign.
