Embassy Suites continue to be a great place to stay at because of the size of the rooms and the breakfast and happy hour. This makes for a good value for any size family.
Positives: Enjoyed the size of the room and the complimentary breakfast in the morning.
Negatives: Did not appreciate the water bottles for sale on the desk. Either provide them for free or do nor place in the room.

I believe this hotel was a great hotel at a great price. Our kids loved the pool, the breakfast was delicious and it was in a convenient location. We would come back to this hotel again!
Positives: The breakfast was delicious, the staff was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. We would choose this hotel again in the future.
Negatives: None

Gathered with 3 friends for mini-reunion, room set-up was perfect. Beds very comfortable. Quiet for sleeping. Friend has allergies and the "pure" room/allergy free was great for her. Wonderful breakfasts and happy hours. Walking distance to all we wanted to do.
Positives: Great location, friendly staff, very safe, appreciate the suite style room and breakfast/happy hour.
Negatives: Nothing.

They need changing their carpets in rooms. At least in our room. At least they were courteous to let us check out without charging us extra.
Positives: It was okay but not ideal for my visit, because my 2 and a half year old started sneezing as soon as we arrived at room. We checked out next morning.
Negatives: Room carpeting. Our young son started sneezing all night. We checked out next morning and went to Trump Hotel.

Will come again, very nice and enjoyed wonderful breakfast and cocktails. We got caught in the 2011 Blizzard, and the hotel and staff were wonderful. Plan on booking again since the Oprah show was cancelled and rescheduled for a couple of weeks.
Positives: Friendly staff during 2011 Blizzard. So very helpful, will come back!
Negatives: Double beds, wish they were Queen beds for more room.

Hotel is well located. Easy walk to State Street, Michigan Ave shopping or theaters. If you don't want to walk, red line is a block away. Great food in the close surrounding blocks.

Positives: Friendly, and knowledgeable staff.
Negatives: Renovations have left the upper floors closed, thus crowding at the hotel was more than usual. King rooms are at a premium.

Typical Embassy Suites atmosphere. Lobby very crowded each night for the free drinks.
Positives: Location and convenience to good restaurants.
Negatives: Outrageous parking fees. No self park and $44 per night for valet.

I would recommend the hotel for families. In fact we would love to return with our kids sometime. The breakfast was great as was the manager reception in the evening. We also used the workout room which was very nice.
Positives: I thought the breakfast and manager receptions each evening were great. I thought the hotel location was great and the overall hotel was clean.
Negatives: Our room was looking out over a garage so early in the morning we would here the traffic from the garage. this was very annoying.

My husband and I were very dissappointed with this hotel. We've stayed at numerous Embassy Suites and have always enjoyed our stays, but NOT this time. The downtown location is wonderful, blocks from anything you want to do in Chicago, but the hotel itself is run down. Not anything like other Embassy Suites we've stayed at in the past. The bathroom was the worst, mold in several places and the cold air return above the showerhead was absolutely fithly! The baseboards in our room were very dirty and the bedding and decor was somewhat outdated for a higher end hotel. We also were disappointed with the staff at the hotel. We were not greeted well when we arrived in the parking garage and had to ask were to go to check in. There was no one around to help us with our bags. Once we reached the lobby, still no bell hops or doormen. At the front desk, there were two staff members who were NOT friendly and didn't really welcome us at all. It felt like we were bothering them and felt uncomfortable checking in. I wish I could say that was the end of our bad experience, but the hotel itself was not in great condition, especially the pool. I had read other bad reviews about the condition of the pool area before we visited, but really wanted to relax in the hot tub and go for a swim. Once we saw with our own eyes the pool and hot tub, we chose to NOT go in. The pool was extremely cloudy and the hot tub looked dirty. To add to our disappointment, there were NO clean towels, only used ones scattered everywhere. You could tell that housekeeping had not cleaned the area in awhile. The hotel was very croweded, (we guessed due to Spring Break), with lots of families. The next morning the breakfast area was packed, but as full as the hotel was, we expected that and were prepared. The food lines were long, but the staff did the best they could and the manager on duty also was trying to do what he could to ease the problem of congestion around the breakfast area.Overall we
Positives: Wonderful location. You couldn't ask for a better location close to EVERYTHING in downtown Chicago.
Negatives: The hotel itself is in need of an update. It's a old Embassy Suites and NOT up to date like other Embassy Suites.

We were very pleased with our stay here. We got in town around 11:00 on Saturday morning and were able to check in. That was wonderful. We enjoyed the suite since we had a 13 year old with us who wanted his own space to watch TV and chill out. I would stay here again.
Positives: The free happy hour, breakfast, pool and location.
Negatives: Our window looked into a parking garage.

Overall a great location, with large suite style rooms, and includes a free FULL breakfast (not just coffee and muffins, but cooked-to-order omelets and more!).
Positives: Free full breakfast!
Negatives: Tiny bathtub; low-quality bedding.

The parking was more expensive than the room. Even though I was there for less than 12 hours, the hotel charged me the full fee for a 24 hour stay because I had a room, rather than the 12 hour stay based on my arrival and departure.
Positives: Proximity.
Negatives: Parking expenses.

I really liked this hotel. It was a great deal for the price we received through priceline. The free cocktail hour and breakfast were a great addition. Breakfast was anything you could want for breakfast - made to order omelets, pancakes, bacon, cereal, fruit, bagels, etc. The rooms were nice and spacious, bed was comfortable.
Positives: Nice spacious suite, free cocktail hour and great free breakfast with almost anything you could want.
Negatives: Can be noisy since rooms are centered around atrium.

Positives: Complimentary breakfast was amazing.
Negatives: Parking was pricey.

Basic, but practical space with lots of room, even a small refrigerator. great even for small team meeting, because personal stuff can be out of sight very easily (thanks to the extra separation between work and sleep area). convenient location. friendly staff, if they change the fixtures, flooring and furniture I'll give them even higher rating.
Positives: Spacious, usable amenities.
Negatives: Dated decor.

Very basic large rooms which are great for kids. 2 TV's and lots of table space for computers etc. Breakfast buffet was great.
Positives: Concierge was very helpful and breakfast buffet was great.
Negatives: Pool and hot tub looked 30 years old.

Very pleased with most of our stay. But the hotel could not assist me with information about bed arrangement until we arrived on site. Also, the pull out couch mattress was like a bedspread and not a mattress. House keeping answer was just throw another mattress on the bed. There there was no place to sit because we could not fold up the bed. Problem after problem I had to resolve.
Positives: Manager evening get together and the morning breakfast were great.
Negatives: Communication failure / bed accomodations were terrible.

Loved the stay.
Positives: Staff was very friendly.
Negatives: Parking price high.
