Hyatt Regency in Chicago is located at one of the prime spots of downtown Chicago. A great hotel with great facilities, this hotel is a must-stay!
Positives: The location was fantastic.
Negatives: No free parking was available for guests.

The Hyatt Regency on Wacker had everything I needed.
Positives: Convenient to Downtown & Navy pier.
Negatives: Overnight parking fee of $50.00.

This was an exceptional choice for a taste of everything Chicago has to offer - chic and trendy accommodations and appointments, great bars, great location and probably the most well trained staff I have encountered in big cities. Well done Hyatt!
Positives: Truly outstanding and well trained staff.
Negatives: Bathroom vanity is quite small - could use perhaps a wall mounted shelf.

It was nice other than the leak repair.
Positives: The location was awesome.
Negatives: There was a water leak in the wall on our floor and the hall was under repair the entire trip.

Room decor was contemporary. Would not recommend the pub restaurant in the West Tower. The East Tower is the preferred tower to stay in. Comfortable guest area to sit in on the first floor. $50 a night to park your car is way too expensive.
Positives: The location was perfect for our walking trip.
Negatives: There was no indoor swimming pool or hot tub.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 27 Sep 2011 rated 7 out of 10.
Would not stay there again.
Positives: Only the price was good along with the location.
Negatives: Towels were like cardboard, water pressure was nill and use of computers were a ripoff $7 for 5 minutes.

This is a comfortable and convenient hotel without any special character.
Positives: View on the river.
Negatives: The room was small.

Nice rooms, on par with other Hyatt Regency hotels. There's a less interesting river view from rooms facing north in the east tower as it is set back from the river. Overall, other facilities are nice as well; the bar is nice but a little crowded.
Positives: Great location, with lot of restaurants and lobby space for business travelers.
Negatives: The architecture and look of common spaces is dated.

Was clean and staff was friendly. Great for business travel.
Positives: Modern appeal.
Negatives: King room not spacious at all, no romantic appeal what so ever.

The hotel was generally nice. But super expensive. Their policy was that if you used any space in the room fridge, it would cost you 7 dollars! Even though our towels were sopping wet and on the floor, they rolled them up and put them back on our shelf. I mean they could have at least hung them to dry. The restaurant was so overpriced. The service was terrible. Some staff were standing around and some were running their butts off. They forgot the side dishes and the wine with the entrée, the drinks took 20 minutes. DH was livid and was ready to leave town just because of the service.
Positives: It had a nice view of the river
Negatives: They said they gave us a king size bed, but we have a king size and this was not the same size.

Great location, excellent front desk and housekeeping staff! Updated rooms with nice furnishings and solid walls. Skip the breakfast buffet, as the food was not very tasty and the eggs are made with an egg substitute. Hotel bar was very chic! Elevators in the West tower are hard to catch in the morning. If it doesn't stop on your floor after 3-4 minutes, take the stairs!
Positives: The rooms were fresh and decor was updated, not stuffy and old like some other Hyatt properties.
Negatives: The $22/per person breakfast buffet was less than mediocre, price was bad! Hard to catch an elevator too!

Great location. Was a good value for the price I paid all things considered. Housekeeping banged on the door at 8 am to clean the room--we were deep asleep. Housekeeping then banged on the door to check the mini bar to see if we ate or drank anything from it. Was charged by the hotel to place a toll-free call to our airline.
Positives: Lovely view, great location.
Negatives: No frig, no microwave, "security" man looked down his nose at me.

This was exactly what I was looking for. We needed a 1-night stay in the city to celebrate my wife's birthday and this hotel was perfect.
Positives: The staff at the Hyatt in Chicago with my questions about the room.
Negatives: Only the fact that there was a charge to even open up and see what was inside the mini fridge.

Yes ---- I would stay again at this hotel. It was very relaxing. Parking should be a discount when you stay the night at the hotel.
Positives: Friendly - clean - polite employees- nice surroundings
Negatives: Waiting for long elevator line in hall way before going up to my room when checking in ----

Had a great stay, but they need to upgrade the mattresses. Room size and amenities were great, but I think I should be able to store my own drinks in the mini-bar/refrigerator without getting charged.
Positives: Location, room size.
Negatives: Mattress was old, couldn't put my own stuff in mini-bar for refrigeration.

Positives: Comfort, clean, nice decor.
Negatives: Room arrangement - would be nice to have two chairs.

Excelent hotel for any purpose. Wonderful beds and accomodations. I already recommended to several friends. Enjoyable.
Positives: Excellent location and great staff and friendly. It was my wife's birthday and they sent a bottle of champagne and chocolates!
Negatives: Dust on carpet behind headboard-had not been vacuumed for some time.

Positives: Really enjoyed the proximity to shops and restaurants.
Negatives: Nothing.

Hotel in the middle of renovation. I stayed in a renovated room, and it was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and linens. All of the staff I encountered were incredibly helpful and informative. They were renovating in the east tower and there was no full-service restaurant on site. The food is already expensive enough, but they don't offer more than a breakfast buffet or snacks in the bar at night without having to pay room service prices. Will be quite a pain during the renovation if you don't feel like going out in the cold for something more than a snack-bar type option.
Positives: Friendly, helpful staff.
Negatives: Renovations left it with no full-service restaurant option on-site.

If the Hyatt is a 4 Star, it is on the low low end of the segment. The hotel lacks in many areas and they attempt to make it up in service. Bottom line is Hyatt is too gimicky with its clubs, member only garbage, no pool, health club a 10 minute walk, sub par bar and dining to qualify as a 4 star.
Positives: Convenient location.
Negatives: No pool

Great place overall - would stay here again. Just don't come here hungry as the in-room dinning hours are non-existent and the hotel restaurant is nothing to brag about.
Positives: Modern with very comfortable bed.
Negatives: In room dinning hours were terrible.

The hotel was great. We actually had an opportunity to stay in two different rooms, one in the East Tower and one in the newly remodeled West Tower. There was a nice difference in comfort, attractiveness, and noise insulation between the two. Our reason for moving rooms was because of the hordes of youth groups staying at the hotel for a convention that were disrespectful and noisy well into the late night on our first night there. While this was not necessarily the hotel's fault, they were incredibly accommodating to make up for our troubles. We got a complementary meal at an in-house restaurant, and were moved to an excellent room.
Positives: The friendly, accommodating staff. They attended to us graciously when we had a noise complaint issue.
Negatives: In the non-remodeled tower (East Tower), a room near the elevator meant constant noise from the elevator.

Overall, we love this hotel. The staff have always been accommodating and friendly. They honor all my requests. My family and I always have a great time and the location is the best. Super close to skate on state and the Christ kindle Market and Macy's.
Positives: Great location.
Negatives: The lobby restaurant was overpriced and bad service, and mediocre food.

Attractive room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Poor quality towels, a DECA conference with hundreds of teens, and early morning construction on the floor above me on my last morning there were the low points of my stay. Great staff. Very helpful.
Positives: The staff was extremely courteous and helpful.
Negatives: My last morning, at 9:00, construction began directly above me!

This hotel surpassed my expectations. I had an awesome stay there, and I'd definitely go there again!
Positives: Exceeded my expectations!
Negatives: I really can't think of anything bad. Maybe the parking rates.

Nice and quiet in room areas. Staff was helpful with dinner recommendations and other information.
Positives: The room was nice and quiet.
Negatives: In a room for two (double beds), it took 3 calls to get more towels.

The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The rooms were nice (the view of the lake/ Navy Pier was incredible). The linens were luxurious. The night life was exciting, both the Irish Pub and Big Bar.
Positives: Staff was outstanding as were the rooms and all the amenities.
Negatives: Nothing - it was all great.
