The hotel facilities themselves were nice; but this is definitely not a place for the business traveler. There is inadequate parking. I had to pay for parking at another hotel. Checkout time is an early 11 a.m. with no way to store luggage or computer equipment past the 11 a.m. checkout time. I brought my 84 year old mother with me after calling the motel to verify that arrangements could be made for check out around 2. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. On the day I was to checkout, however, two different staff members refused to even allow me until noon to checkout necessitating my renting another room at another hotel for my mother for 3 hours. Never have I encountered such unconcerned personnel at a motel. If you have any special circumstances at all, this is not the motel for you. You cannot rely on what you are told over the phone.
Positives: The room had recently been remodeled.
Negatives: No arrangements were available to hold luggage past the 11 o'clock checkout. Inadequate parking.

Great location. Nice room and great bathroom. exceeded my expectations.
Positives: Attractive room. Best bathroom ever.
Negatives: I stayed at the back and the adjacent property was not good.

Great hotel and staff.
Positives: The look of the room and the comfort of the beds.
Negatives: Water leaking from all the air conditioning units causing puddles.

Great location in the heart of the historic district. Very nice updated and clean facilities and helpful staff. It is in the center of the action and has outside entrance rooms, so you may experience some noise at all hours.
Positives: Location and updated facilities.
Negatives: Traffic and city noise. Outside entrance.

Great location and good price for a historic area.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: I prefer the room going into a hall.

This is an older facility that has recently refurbished the bathrooms with granite and elegant wallpaper. The AC/heating units are old and sounded like they were near the end of life. The door locks were old and not easy to operate. There is virtually no sound proofing between units, so not only is every noise from surrounding rooms obvious, it is on a very busy and noisy street corner.
Positives: Comfortable beds.
Negatives: Noise, parking, shower.

Positives: The design it was nice to have a huge walk in bathroom.
Negatives: Location of elevators - felt like it was difficult with my cases.

Nice hotel, nothing fancy, close to most major historical areas, provided an adequate breakfast in a clean well appointed dining area. Concierge was very friendly and most helpful with suggestions for places to see and for restaurants. This is a great plus for a hotel of this star rating.
Positives: Clean rooms, friendly staff
Negatives: $7.00 parking fee

Great location. Block from the city market and River Street. This hotel doesn't nickel and dime you like most (free wireless Internet, 1/2 cost for parking). Rooms were very nice for the price. I have read other reviews about this being a noisy hotel but I did not experience this. The hotel is more of a motel, meaning the room entrance is from the outside. I would stay here again and would recommend. Much cheaper than most hotels in the historic district plus parking is half the cost (yes you have to pay for parking at most/all hotels in the historic district). The hotel does not have a restaurant but why would I want to eat there anyway with all of the choices within walking distance. Did not try out the swimming pool so can't speak to it.
Positives: Great location, clean, free wireless, great price for a hotel in the historic district. Cheaper for parking than most hotels.
Negatives: Still have to pay for parking even though it is half the cost of most hotels. Perhaps more of a motel than hotel.

All in all this hotel was very clean and comfortable, and tastefully decorated aiming for an upscale experience at a moderate price. It was centrally located and easily accessible to the highway. I would recommend it to others and would consider staying again.
Positives: The hotel was very nice and the staff very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again.
Negatives: We were not made aware of an additional charge for Parking prior to check-in.

I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends. The room was not very clean and the bathroom smelled bad. HBO TV guides were outdated. The beds had very worn out pillows and we were told there were no extra pillows anywhere in the hotel. There was a lot of loud music with heavy base being played in the parking lot late at night and the hotel staff did nothing to stop it. If you are looking for a good nights sleep or have small children that need to bed down early I would not recommend this hotel, spend just a few dollars more and stay someplace nicer and cleaner.
Positives: Continental breakfast was okay.
Negatives: Too expensive for what you get. Room was not very clean, bathroom smelt. No elevators. Very noisy at night.

It took 2 1/2 hours to get our room which was suppose to be a King/smoking. Our first room was double/non smoking (322). We moved to another room (318) because the first room had light bulbs burned out at night stand, phone did not work, electrical outlets were loose, old food behind night stand, and receptions on TV was very fuzzy. Our second room was not much better. We still had 2 double beds and a non-smoking room and the coffee pot did not work. Neither room really looked or smelled clean. This was supposed to be a romantic Pre-Valentines trip for us. My husband would not even sleep under the covers because he felt the room was just not clean. We will definitely come back to Savannah, but we will not stay here again, or recommend this hotel to anyone.
Positives: Were very helpful with directions and lobby very nice.
Negatives: Desk clerk was not friendly and hotel rooms did not look or feel clean.

The location was wonderful. Room was clean and nicely furnished. Staff very friendly.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Housekeepers too pushy.

The room was real small and the AC didn't work. The bathroom had mold in the toilet, shower stall and on the shower curtain. There was hair on the toilet and on the shower wall. The mattress was as thin as a tabletop and sunk in the middle. I have back problems and did not sleep well. I would not recommend this place to anyone, even if you wanted to save a few bucks. Your better off spending the extra money and staying in a place you can go back to and relax. We spent a lot of time outside of the room because it was too depressing to go inside. If it wasn't for my husband asking me not to make a big deal over it we would've left immediately and stayed somewhere else.
Positives: There's nothing that I liked outside of it being in the Historic District and we could walk places.
Negatives: No elevator!! Had to climb three levels of stairs to get to our room on the third floor.

Great location, very helpful staff, but not well kept up. Rooms felt dirty. Where your flip flops. No views of anything but parking lots.
Positives: It was in a very convenient location.
Negatives: It was pretty filthy. Dirty carpets and bathrooms.

Close to historic district. Walking the city is possible from this location. Continental breakfast had limited selection and mediocre quality. Limited parking. Staff helpful. The price of the room would be very high for the quality if it were not in the historic district.
Positives: Close to the historic district.
Negatives: Mold in room wallpaper peeling.
