The staff was friendly from the maid to the reservation desk. Really enjoyed the experience. Room was cleaned daily and restocked. Would recommend to friends.

Perfect location and the beds are AMAZING!

Positives: The Lobby Lounge Bartenders were so much fun and just the all around friendliness was great!

Negatives: The jets in the hot tub were placed low.

The room was spacious, clean, and well supplied. The hotel had all the amenities you would expect (restaurant, bar, indoor pool w/spa, exercise room, concierge).

Positives: Spacious room, all expected amenities present.

Negatives: $18 night for parking and breakfast was not included in price.

Great spot for being close to a lot of Savannah attractions. A nice sized indoor pool. But unfortunately it is right in the atrium/lobby area and doesn't give you much privacy. The restaurant offers a variety of food at fairly reasonable prices.

Positives: It is right on the Riverfront and near the City Market.

Negatives: Some of the curtains and furniture in the room were stained and or faded.

This hotel suited our needs and was very convenient fitting into our overall travel plans.

Positives: Nice room, quick check in at a reasonable price.

Negatives: They charged for parking.

While the hotel is technically in the Historic District, it's right on the edge. Reaching the Historic District requires an uphill walk.

Positives: Priceline's price.

Negatives: They tried to charge me $18/day for parking.

This was a very nice hotel for. I paid $20 extra/night to get a river front room with a view. It was worth the upgrade, original room was looking at parking lot. I would recommend staying there to anyone traveling to river street.

Positives: Nice room, well designed lobby and pool areas.

Negatives: At the far end of river street, had to walk a ways to shops. Didn't like the $18 day parking fee.

Very nice, very clean - beware $18.00 per day parking fee in their hotel!

Positives: Location.

Negatives: $18.00 per day parking fee in hotel!

Location good for touring downtown Savannah. Clean, comfortable, safe. I would recommend to friends.

Negatives: I liked everything - no complaints.

This hotel is located in the gorgeous city of Savannah, is maybe the most romantic city in America. While I would not rate this as a romantic hotel, it is on the river with a great view. Mainly it is in need of updating and renovation. The staff was very nice and the room was very clean.

Positives: Very nice people at front desk.

Negatives: Definitely need renovation. Marriott is milking this one for all it is worth and not investing anything in updates or amenities. Need flat screen TV.

Hotel had potential, new lobby furniture would help and needs to be updated. Staff was very nice.

Positives: Comfortable beds and clean bathroom.

Negatives: Smell and leak.

This motel is at the far end of River Street. The staff was very friendly and they have both valet and self-parking for a fee. It has an indoor pool and hot tub. The restaurant was very nice and there are excellent views of the river front. A taxi to the downtown nightlife area was only $5.

Positives: This is a real nice hotel located on the riverfront.

Negatives: Nothing

Very nice hotel. We were very pleased with the service and room.

Positives: Very nice employees, nice amenities, and products.

Negatives: We stayed on the concierge level, but it was closed the night/day we were there.

We could have stayed at a quaint little inn in the heart of the historic district for almost the same price, once you factor in parking fees and the cost of breakfast, which was free at the other hotel.

Positives: The bed was comfortable.

Negatives: It was very hot inside and the facility was huge.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 06 May 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

The hotel had a lot of space for you to lounge and socialize downstairs. Also, we really enjoyed the patio that overlooked the river. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Positives: Even though it was not a suite, the room was big enough for baby to crawl with space.

Negatives: We had to call to remind them of the fridge and crib.

A very attractive hotel, with significant shortcomings. Front desk personnel were very helpful. Valet parking staff was very good, but the cost of parking was excessive. Impression is that they try to squeeze every nickel out of customers.

Positives: Clean, neat, and comfortable.

Negatives: Charges for internet! Overpriced breakfast menu.

Bell boys and registration were friendly and polite. Our bags were brought to our immediately. The Marriott Riverside was located on the River It was also one of the Trolley Stops. Very convenient.

Positives: The location and the view of the river.

Negatives: Nothing.

Friendly and helpful staff and an excellent location on the riverfront only a 2 minute walk to the heart of Old Savannah.

Positives: Riverfront location.

Negatives: The main atrium was empty, very uninteresting.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 26 Apr 2010 rated 5 out of 10.

The hotel lacked charm and comfort so unlike the rest of historic Savannah. I attribute this to a very poor architectural and interior design. I'd suggest looking at other hotels in the area for your stay in Savannah.

Positives: The hotel staff was extremely friendly.

Negatives: I disliked the overall design of the hotel. The public spaces were vast, empty and uninviting. The atrium had a strong oder of chlorine.

Typical Marriott, no surprises. Extra large rooms including bath. Comfortable beds. Excellent service. On river, with river walk to historic district of Savannah. Especially enjoyed watching giant container ships go by.

Positives: Large rooms, comfortable beds, on river, quiet area of down town.

Negatives: Not many choices for meals.

I was so pleased with this hotel. It was in the perfect location for touring Savannah. We got a Riverview and enjoyed watching the ships manuever up and down. The staff was excellent and when we requested something for our room they were right on it. I am a Marriott rewards customer and have not been disappointed yet. Keep up the good work!

Positives: Great location, very comfortable beds, 4 star.

Negatives: Liked everything except needed chairs on balconies to sit in.

The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, in a good location in downtown Savannah, and had convenient amenities. These includes a spa on premises, a great restaurant (Blue), an indoor and an outdoor pool, and an extensive exercise facility. The concierge was helpful as well as knowledgeable about the area, and the rest of hotel staff were very accommodating as well. The only negative thing I can say about the experience is the high daily price for parking, ($18) though that may be typical of the area.

Positives: Location in downtown area, spa within hotel, other awesome amenities and helpful staff.

Negatives: Parking fees were expensive at $18 daily.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sun 07 Mar 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

Very comfortable and convenient to sights of downtown Savannah. Front desk, concierge and bar staff were very helpful with restaurant and tour information. The lobby bartender, was helpful, courteous and nice while we played games each night.

Positives: Located right on the river, beautiful views.

Negatives: Charged $18 per night for parking. No on street parking nearby.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 04 Mar 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

A nice enough river front hotel. Convenient to downtown, transportation and water taxi. Parking is $18 a day which is too high for the room price and internet is $19.95 a day, which is totally out of line in a time when every other hotel provides it free. Even fast food places provide free WiFi. One can buy wireless access for less than this per month. I would never voluntarily stay at a Marriott again, until they change this policy.
Positives: Location on the river and near downtown.

Negatives: They charge $19.95 a day for internet- outrageous!

Good location. Hallways and common areas showed wear and did not seem clean or tidy. Black smudges on the bathroom walls. Amenities expected in a hotel rated as this one is, were missing. No mini-fridge - though there was a space for one. No in room safe. Clearly there were maintenance needs throughout the common areas. Staff at the front desk and bar were very pleasant and professional. My wife got a manicure at the spa for which she was charged $54 for an obviously substandard service. She felt not only disappointed but cheated.
Positives: Friendly staff at front desk.

Negatives: Spa services grossly overpriced for substandard quality.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 22 Feb 2010 rated 3 out of 10.

Dirty smudges on the wall in the bathroom. Buzzing light fixture in the hallway. Hallway carpets were worn and dirty. No mini fridge in the room. No safe in room safe. TV was mediocre. $54 for a poor quality manicure in the spa. Staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services left something to be desired. Bed and linens were excellent.

Positives: Friendly bartender and front desk staff.

Negatives: Grossly overpriced spa services that were mediocre in quality.

This a very nice convention-type facility. River view is terrific. Room (king) was spacious and clean. Marriott has the best bedding in the industry.

Positives: Clean. Excellent pillows, linens and mattress. Spacious room.

Negatives: Charge for parking. Hotel a little far for walking to historic downtown Savannah.
