Good stay for the price.

Positives: The concierge service was helpful with telling us how to get to places.

Negatives: The bathroom was small and should be updated.

The air conditioner vent blew right on the bed and we could not move it. So when it kicked on I had to cover up and when it kicked off I kicked off the covers about 100 times in the night.

Positives: It was very upscale for the rate and a very neat building.

Negatives: Had to use valet parking which was $29.00/night and it took about 45 minutes to get our car the next day.

Nice hotel, but glad I got it discounted. The room was small and had no special features, but was clean and staff were helpful.

Positives: Excellent gym.

Negatives: No flat screen TV.

Comfortable, convenient and safe. However for business purposes the internet access is weak and overpriced.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Stained carpet, didn't offer key to mini bar, internet access overpriced.

This hotel was very nice and comfortable. It met all my expectations. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Positives: I liked the location of the hotel to Philips Arena. The hotel was clean, roomy, and the bed was comfortable.

Negatives: There really wasn't anything that I didn't like.

The only real issue I had with the hotel was that the room (being 1/4 glass) would get extremely warm in the daytime and cold at night. Gotta love our southeastern climate! Also, they ran out of cots.

Positives: The scenery and location were excellent!

Negatives: Their parking valet and bellhop staff were pushy and somewhat rude.

Overall, enjoyed this hotel. Pros-Great location. Hotel staff professional and courteous. Easy/quick check-in. Starbucks! Cons-Rooms need to be updated - furniture, walls fairly scratched, marked up, scuffed. Bathroom incredibly tiny! Only one restaurant opened for dinner-revolving restaurant on 72nd floor-extremely expensive. Regular restaurant was closed. There should be more than one choice of restaurant to eat dinner (there was a bar but didn't want to eat off lap or at bar counter for dinner). Parking is horrendous-self park is $22/day with no in/out privilege and most times full-you don't know this until you have circled around in very tight spaces!!! Valet parking is very expensive-$26/day.

Positives: Beds very comfortable. Breakfast had excellent selection. Quick Check-in-excellent concierge.

Negatives: Rooms old & worn. Usual restaurant was closed for dinner-only choice-revolving restaurant-very expensive. Should be more choice for dinner.

Hotel was great. Room was spacious, view was fantastic. Beds were extremely comfortable. We took the time to go up to 72nd floor to see the city from the 360 degree panoramic windows. Other tourists, not staying at this hotel, had to pay $5 a person.

Positives: Most comfortable pillows and bedding.

Negatives: At 11am on Sun, we had to go down 30 flights of stairs, since elevators were full. People checking out by noon had a long difficult time.

This hotel is ranked
way too high. The bed was
so uncomfortable. The bedding was cheap funny since, there was a catalogue telling you that you could order the bedding. Old television that did not work very well. I was so happy that our second night was at a different hotel.

Positives: Front desk staffer was funny and friendly.

Negatives: The television didn't work. The bedding was cheap, and looked like it needed to be replaced. Bed uncomfortable. Room looked

The room was newly renovated, very stylish and from the 55th Floor, a fantastic view! Well set up for business travelers, with decent desk, and liked fact you could swivel to watch TV as well. Comfy couch to watch TV from too. It would have been nice if Westin could have thrown in free WiFi, but guess it's a pure-profit service they provide.

Positives: Location steps from metro, and only a couple blocks from Centennial park. Staff very courteous. Upscale decor.

Negatives: Elevator system a bit bothersome - security measures require you to enter key in to operate it.

We were pleased with the treatment from the staff and there ability to help us. The rooms seemed smaller and more out of date then what the hotel advertises but the view was amazing from our room on the 44th floor. Overall our stay was great.

Positives: The staff were extremely nice and very accommodating. They were quick to help with our luggage and anything else we needed.

Negatives: The Standard room we had was not as shown on there website. It seemed to be much smaller and a little out dated. Still very nice!

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 02 Feb 2011 rated 7 out of 10.

Hotel staff was not friendly, instead seemed irritated when approached for information. The hotel itself is quite lovely, great view, and
comfortable beds. Bathroom too small for comfortable accommodations.

Positives: View was beautiful.

Negatives: Parking accommodations were crowded, dark, and dangerous.

Sleeping room needs update. Bathroom fine except tile above the shower was stained and had a hole in it. Restaurant and lounge spectacular view.

Positives: Staff were very professional. Great location for a convention.

Negatives: Room needs to be upgraded. Couch torn, carpeting bunched up. TV was at least 10 years old.

This is an excellent hotel. The room was beautiful and the hotel was very nice with a gorgeous lobby and a very convenient Starbucks in the lobby. The only complaint is the dining and room service is ridiculously priced. The breakfast buffet is $21. I can't believe anyone would pay $21 for some powdered eggs and cut up fruit. And the room service breakfast is ridiculous also, $21 PLUS a 21% gratuity plus taxes makes room service completely out of reach, and basically not available.

Positives: Large, nicely decorated, luxurious rooms, beautiful lounges and lobby area.

Negatives: The extremely high prices of the dining room and room service.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 26 Apr 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

The hotel and its staff was amazing. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was well maintained.

Positives: The location was excellent as was the service and the views from our room were amazing.

Negatives: The added cost of parking - after paying for a room.

Maybe the tallest hotel and that's great but; the staff was not friendly at all, our phone or Internet did not work in the room (standard double rm). I tried to iron my shirt, the iron only warmed up and water was leaking so my shirt got all wet right before my meeting. Could hear pretty much everything that was going on in the next door rooms. Horrible acoustics. I did not have a good experience.

Positives: Elevators are fast.

Negatives: Everything else.

This hotel is normally a wonderful choice for numerous events in the downtown are of ATL. Due to the remodel & holiday our expectations were not met 100 %.

Positives: Location in wonderful for downtown events.

Negatives: We had to wait for our room 3 hours after check in & the room was not 100% clean.

I'd shy away from the hotel until the renovations are completed. Restaurants were not open.

Positives: Location and value.

Negatives: Under renovation. Very noisy.

An excellent staff willing to assist in any way. A clean, quiet and comfortable room.

Positives: The heavenly beds.

Negatives: Parking was charged $22.00 per night.

Nice hotel. Our room was small, had a bit of a smell and was outdated. However, it was a good stay overall.

Positives: The bar.

Negatives: The room was not very nice.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 08 Sep 2009 rated 7 out of 10.

Location was very convenient to everything. However, the rooms were not up to the star level expected. Everything else, though, was up to the level, including excellent staff.

Positives: Good location.

Negatives: Uncomfortable rooms, not up to star level. Acceptable for lower star level.

This hotel was beautiful and clean inside and out! Staff was super friendly and if I had to complain it would be about the cost of parking!

Positives: Pool and room was awesome!

Negatives: Thought the price of parking was HIGH especially since there are no elevators in the parking lot!

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 27 Aug 2009 rated 9 out of 10.

I would stay again at this hotel as long as extra inventory is sold on priceline.

Positives: Bed was comfortable, fitness center outstanding.

Negatives: Old dirty carpet in the room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 20 Aug 2009 rated 2 out of 10.

The valet parking charged my card over $50.00 and I never valet parked. The pillows on the bed were dirty, and the TV did not work for over 2 hours. We called for maintenance and he knocked once and entered the room while I was in my bath towel. Also the maid took the mat in the tub and my friend almost slipped down and hurt herself. They charge for everything, including the internet. Overall, it was the worst experience in a hotel thus far.

Positives: It was exactly downtown where I needed it to be.

Negatives: I did not like how the hotel tried to charge for everything.

This hotel was in a great location. Lots of dining options for every budget nearby. Within walking distance of most of downtown Atlanta's great attractions. Also quite close to a Marta station if you needed to get around the city without a car. The parking garage was easy to navigate and always had a spot to park. Very helpful front desk employees, everyone we met who worked at the hotel was helpful and concierge recommended some very good spots for us to dine at. The pool was a bit small and smelled of chemicals, and the water was not clear, it had a murky color with a tinge of green to it that was not appealing. We thought the room was nice and clean, although the sitting area in our room had a broken piece of furniture in it and it fell over when you sat down. The bathroom was a bit smaller than what I had expected for a hotel of this star level. The bed was very comfortable, and the view of Atlanta out of our hotel window was amazing. I would make sure if staying at this hotel that you go to the observatory up top and make sure you walk around and see all angles of Atlanta from this spectacular location.

Positives: Great views of Atlanta and comfortable bed.

Negatives: Noisy neighbors, small bathroom and pool was not clean.

I really enjoyed the view and the style and decor of the hotel. I hated the fact that you had to pay for Wi-Fi as well as for use of the business center.

Positives: The decor and style.

Negatives: Charge for everything, no free Wi-Fi.

Nice design and stellar views but rooms are shabby and in need of a make-over.

Positives: Views

Negatives: Room needs updating.

While at one time this hotel may have been considered upscale, those days have past. While the lobby and general area remains in a 4 star capacity. The rooms and hallways would fall in a 2.5 - 3 star rating. Hotel is in need of remodeling and replacement in many areas. That coupled with the small room size would definitely discourage me from staying here again. In addition to the excessive valet charges.

Positives: The location was convenient if you were traveling without a car.

Negatives: The rooms were extremely small, outdated, and lacking, did not meet expectations.

Negatives: Small bathroom.

The hotel is great for business and leisure travels. It is very clean, quite, and the staff is professional.

Positives: The view from the room window was amazing!

Negatives: The lobby was a bit confusing.

The location of the hotel is wonderful, close to shopping, transportation and food. I was extremely please with the courteous and kind nature of every staff member I encountered. Since I was staying in for my entire visit, the parking cost was uncomfortable. The view of the city was a welcoming hello for the day and good night for the evening. It's an older hotel but definitely the place to stay.

Positives: The room and bed were heavenly. Great location and many restaurants near by.

Negatives: Parking options were few.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 19 Jun 2009 rated 8 out of 10.

Great staff and location however the room decor could be updated.

Positives: Location and staff.

Negatives: Rooms need updating.
